Chapter 587

He had been delaying giving it to her all along, but he had never seen her so impatient, especially when she turned her anger towards her companions.
"Be careful, Molofeel, I think you’re about to lose control of your emotions," Jesse reminded her.
"I just want my master’s power, you will recover soon, but I won’t," the succubus said anxiously, "without power, I will become weaker and weaker. There are dangers threatening the master everywhere here. I don’t want to be too weak to help when you’re in danger…"
"There’s no threat for now," Jesse said.
"Because of her?" the succubus pointed to the elf nearby.
"Okay," Jesse grabbed her arm and moved her aside, saying, "Let’s not start trouble as soon as we meet, okay?"
"Do you think I’m provoking, master?"
Molofeel completely ignored Jesse’s words, sounding more hostile than before. He even broke free from Jesse’s grasp and headed towards Vereesa.
What is she going to do?
"Moleresphiltor!"
Jesse silently muttered the demonic name, although the sound was low, the impact of speaking that true name was significant.
His eyes even turned black from the dark shadow, Mosa felt a surge of power and his fur bristled, Greed also raised its head with wide eyes, surprised at the situation with Jesse. Even the food in its mouth stuck.
The succubus, now completely suppressed by the utterance of the true name, collapsed on the ground like a deflated balloon, sobbing uncontrollably.
Vereesa stared blankly at Jesse, then at the succubus, her expression complex and somewhat surprised at Jesse’s outburst.
"I’m sorry, master, I cannot disobey your command. I have lost my rationality, and I couldn’t calm down with my magic depleted, the sentries made me uneasy, I… I felt no different from those mindless inferior demons."
Under the scary power of the true name, the succubus was as frightened as a little kitty beaten by its owner.
She kept apologizing in a panic, and Jesse started to feel sorry for her.
Remembering how Molofeel went crazy to protect herself from Rexxar’s attack, even though she got hurt because of Soul Link, she didn’t hesitate.
"Please don’t do that next time, Molofeel. You know I don’t like losing control." he said in a gentle tone, "You also know I don’t want to do that."
The succubus coughed violently in the rain leaking into the broken house, Jesse pulled her under a tree root from a cracked stone wall nearby, she trembled and huddled into a deep pit, shivering uncontrollably.
It was not because of the cold, but due to extreme weakness. When a demon is called by its true name, it becomes incredibly vulnerable. A human, who could not stand a chance against their power, could easily kill them in this state after their true name is called.
Seeing the succubus’s appearance, Saenor fell silent, with no trace of amusement on his face.
When Jesse’s gaze turned towards it, the succubus quickly hid in the Warlock Pack.
"Sorry, Vereesa," Jesse said, "When you rest later, I will stay awake to keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn’t come near you. Let me know when you’re ready to sleep."
"It’s okay, Jesse," Vereesa said softly. "I wasn’t completely unaware when the threat approached, you underestimate me."
Jesse nodded and after a while, when Molofeel calmed down a bit, he came over and said, "I don’t believe you have no other way to draw power."
The succubus was silent for a moment and then looked up, saying, "You won’t like it."
"Let’s see," Jesse said.
Upon hearing this, Vereesa couldn’t help but look over, and Greed also glanced over secretly.
The succubus stood up, licked her sharp demon teeth with her tongue, and asked, "I don’t want to do this, so is this the master’s command?"
"Yes," Jesse said.
Molofeel nodded, starting to chant a Demonic spell, casting a faintly eerie dark purple glow across the dim room with the Shadowfiend.
Mosa couldn’t bear it and walked out of the room to find a collapsed pillar to shelter from the rain outside, clearly unable to tolerate the terrifying Shadow Magic being displayed in front of her. Vereesa also furrowed her brow, unsure of what the succubus was about to do.
Molofeel’s hands emitted a shimmering purple-blue light, making Jesse suddenly feel a sharp pain in his chest.
His legs went weak and he almost fell to the ground. He had to grab onto the damp, slippery stone wall next to him and then coughed violently.
Pain, like an endless sharp ache and stabbing sensation, spread across his chest, throat, and head. He felt himself growing weaker as the image of Molofeel slowly transformed from the familiar companion into a terrifying demon-like figure. Her size seemed to increase, and the horns on top of her head appeared to lengthen in the contrast of the Shadowfiend’s light.
"Jesse," Vereesa couldn’t help but say, "She’ll kill you!"
Greed approached with an axe, but Jesse reached out to stop him, saying, "No, it’s okay, I know what I’m doing."
The dwarf furrowed his brow, halted his steps, swung his axe in the air, then glanced at Vereesa beside him. Vereesa gripped the long knife at her waist, but in the end, they both just anxiously locked eyes and didn’t say anything further.
Even though Jesse claimed to know what he was doing, he wasn’t sure when it would all end.
The pain spread endlessly as his stomach churned, but he felt clear-headed at least, perceiving the pain distinctly. This was proof that the shadows were not yet killing him.
Whenever he had previously suffered from a shadow injury severe enough to be fatal, he would lose most of his body’s sensory perception.
Jesse didn’t know how long had passed… But he knew it hadn’t been too long, because every second felt like endless suffering. Suddenly, he couldn’t hold it in anymore and violently vomited a mass of black blood, which stopped the Shadow Magic from corroding him.
Molofeel stood beside him, swaying as if she had suddenly cut off her own magic guide. Her legs trembled, her arms, fingers, and even lips were shaking, but the flames in her eyes had reignited.
However, when she met Jesse’s gaze, the fire weakened a bit.
"Are you okay, Jesse?" Vereesa asked.
Jesse wiped the blood from his mouth with his arm and said, "I’m fine, she won’t kill me."
"You look like you’re already halfway dead," Greed remarked.
"But isn’t there still half left?" Jesse looked at the demon and asked, "Is that enough?"
Jesse, still wiping his mouth, touched the black-purple blood he had vomited out with his hand.
"That’s enough, master."
Molofeel’s voice became much calmer than before, restoring the familiar feeling to Jesse. Her body stopped trembling upon hearing Jesse’s voice.
She clenched her fist tightly, feeling her own strength. Jesse even sensed a stronger surge of demonic power coursing through her when she clenched her fist.
Has she not paid attention to her strength for a long time? Somehow, her horns had even developed a subtle split at some point.
