Chapter 567: The Great Dream of the Legendary Hunter

Several people held onto each other as they drifted for who knows how long, getting submerged many times, until finally reaching a spacious cave with exposed ground where they could stand.

Upon seeing the ground, they all silently swam towards it and collapsed one by one. After lying exhausted and silent for a while, they mustered the strength to get up, take off their soaked clothes, and find a place to lay them out.

Greed roughly took off all their clothes and threw them aside, Tauren was in the distance shaking off water from their body, and Vereesa put aside her outer garments and cloak, leaving only a thin blue garment with a light golden edge in the style of Quel’Thalas, crouching in a corner of the stone wall to tidy up her belongings.

The ranger had a slender and graceful figure, with muscular lines on their arms and thighs, like a flawless work of art.

Jesse looked at her wet, silvery hair cascading down her shoulders, feeling like it couldn’t possibly exist in reality.

He took a deep breath, forced himself to turn his head back, trying not to dwell too much on it and make the situation awkward, but his heart still raced.

Just as he shifted his attention to Greed in front of him stroking his beard, Vereesa behind him let out a soft sigh.

"What’s wrong?" he turned and asked.

"Food," Vereesa threw a soaked package in front of her and said, "The food we brought from the Tauren village… it’s all gone bad, either soaked or missing."

The elf’s long eyebrows, wet from water, hung down on her cheeks, giving her a helpless look that made her appear extremely disheartened, even a bit comical.

Jesse stifled a laugh as he looked at her expression, which didn’t escape Vereesa’s eyes. She noticed that something seemed off about her appearance, so she vigorously wiped her eyebrows and shook off some water to restore their normal shape, then averted her gaze.

Jesse took out a small package from the nearby robe, unwrapped it, and handed a piece of jerky to the ranger next to him, saying, "Here, I’m not hungry yet, you eat first."

"Where did you get this jerky?" Vereesa took it, looking quite surprised that Jesse still had surviving food.

"Bought it from Gadgetzan," Jesse replied as he lay down. "Emergency food, should be used when needed."

"Thank you, Jesse," Vereesa smiled briefly, took a bite, and then noticed a demon with burning Arcanemagic eyes and horns staring intensely at her from across the cavern, her smile fading instantly.

"Master, I’ve completely depleted my energy," the succubus whispered in the dim light. "You know how much magic it takes to jump that high by using my Shadow Powers, not to mention the repeated instances of stealth before… Even though stealth doesn’t consume much energy, using it too frequently is not sustainable."

Jesse asked, "Is there any other way to restore your powers? Do I look like I have powers to give you?"

Molofeel licked his lips and leaned in to say, "Of course, I understand the master, but only the master’s powers are the most special… I can’t consider other ways in my current state."

"We’ll have to go out and discuss it further," Jesse said.

"With that ice crystal, you should recover quickly, right?" the succubus spoke softer and more ambiguously, while the ranger sat silently nibbling on jerky next to her, nibbling more vigorously.

The dwarf lying nearby turned his face to glance at the elf and demon, then looked up at the dark cave ceiling, cleared his throat and said, "Um, do you happen to remember to leave some emergency food for your good brother, Jesse?"

"That was the last piece," Jesse told Greed. "You should have said something earlier."

"Ha, even if I had mentioned it yesterday, you wouldn’t have given me any…"

As the dwarf spoke, Vereesa glanced this way while chewing on jerky.

After finishing speaking, Greed’s stomach growled loudly.

Mosa took out a spindle-shaped yellow fruit from a pouch on the side, peeled off the rough skin to reveal the fresh red flesh, and handed it to Greed. Greed took it, thanked Mosa, took a bite, and then passed the rest to Tauren.

Tauren shook his head to show he wasn’t hungry. Greed happily ate the entire fruit, with red juice all over his mouth. He licked his lips with his tongue and sucked his fingers several times, showing how tasty it was.

One small fruit definitely couldn’t satisfy Greed’s appetite, but after eating it, he still lay on the damp rock surface with a satisfied expression, breathing out a long sigh. There wasn’t much more to expect at that moment.

After closing his eyes for a while, Greed suddenly opened them and said, "Do you remember what the princess said earlier?"

    "Of course," Vereesa replied.

"I feel like I won’t forget her words for a long time," Jesse said while lying down.

"She mentioned a word," Greed said. "Terramok, do any of you remember?"

    "Yes," Vereesa replied.

    "Terramok," Mosa repeated the word.

"Do you know this name?" Greed turned his head to look at Mosa.

Mosa tapped the nearby stone wall, then waved his hand, saying, "Here, Terramok, everything, whole."

"Is this Terramok?" Greed asked in surprise as he sat up.

"What’s wrong with this name?" Jesse asked.

"Hmm." Greed leaned to the side, asking, "Have you heard of the legendary hunter Nesingwary?"

Jesse thought for a moment as he looked at Greed. Of course, he knew Hemet Nesingwary, the most famous hunter team in the whole game, hunting from Stranglethorn to Nagrand, killing their way to Northrend, and even more dangerous places…

But he felt that no matter how much he said, the library book discussions couldn’t explain it all, so he simply shook his head.

Greed moved closer, saying, "You don’t know either? But that’s normal, after all, Nesingwary is a dwarf, your mage friends might not be interested in such a hunter, but his stories are quite well-known here. Especially my father, my father has told me many of his stories, they say his lifelong dream is to hunt the most powerful prey in the world."

    "Deathwing?" Jesse asked casually.

Greed frowned and said, "This is really boring, Jesse Seso."

"Okay, okay, go on." Jesse sat up and leaned against the nearby stone pillar, resting his chin in his hand.

The dwarf scratched his beard, glanced warily at the young warlock beside him, and continued, "I heard a story from my father, about Rotgrip of Terramok…"

When Jesse heard the name Rotgrip, he shuddered in remembrance.

    "Yes, that’s the name."
