Chapter 358 The Evil Cultivator of the Heavenly Dao
by SurroundedbyBooksDu Han relied on the powerful formation within Ju Mo City to fight back against Chen Fei. However, as Chen Fei struck him down with a single blow, the city’s formation began to crumble with him.
The city walls collapsed. With its defenses shattered, Ju Mo City lay exposed before them.
The tension that had gripped the approaching cultivators now shifted into fury. Even Liu Li, who was always cold-faced, clenched his teeth with a harsh grinding sound.
Ju Mo City had become a hell on earth.
Corpses littered the streets, discarded like trash. A shallow blood groove—fist-deep—ran beneath them, directing their blood toward the city center.
The blood was still fresh, flowing toward some unseen goal.
“These beasts!” someone finally snapped, unable to hold back their rage.
Even these seasoned cultivators, hardened by witnessing countless atrocities from demonic sects, found themselves shaken by this scene.
A cold glint flickered in Barbarian Brother’s eyes as he scanned the area. His fury had reached its peak. He needed to vent, preferably on a few cultists.
The others shared his thoughts.
Following the blood channels, they arrived at the heart of Ju Mo City.
This was the core of the formation — but now, shattered. Around it lay the corpses of those cultists who had perished from the backlash of the broken array.
“Dying like this is too easy for them,”
Barbarian Brother grunted.
“They’re not all dead,”
Chen Fei said coldly.
And just as he spoke, another group of cultists appeared from across the street. These were all Miao Realm cultivators, gazing at Chen Fei’s group with grim expressions.
“Perfect. More scum left,”
Barbarian Brother said, licking his lips.
“I’ve been waiting.”
He drew his sword and charged forward.
The others followed without hesitation.
“Leave two for me, Barbarian Brother — or I swear, we’ll have words!”
“Screw off! First come, first served!”
Their angry banter turned to streaks of light as they rushed into battle, cutting down cultists without mercy.
Most of the Tianqing Sacred Land’s elite disciples present were Miao Realm cultivators — only a few had reached Rendao Realm, like Barbarian Brother and Wuji Zi.
Even so, their foundations were solid and true, unlike the hastily elevated strength of the cultists who used sinister arts.
Chen Fei didn’t join the fight. He was silently building up his strength.
Because he knew — there was still one powerful enemy hiding in Ju Mo City.
Ever since stepping into the city, Chen Fei had felt an unseen gaze watching him from the shadows.
But the enemy didn’t strike.
Even as the cultists were butchered, their Elder Patriarch remained hidden.
“What are you waiting for?”
Chen Fei thought quietly, gripping the Wufeng Greatsword tighter.
The stench of blood hung thick in the air.
Still, the patriarch didn’t appear.
Chen Fei’s mind shifted into the Purple Clarity Palace, where Qu’a Sacred Ancestor screamed within flames.
“What the hell do you want?! At least ask me something if you’re going to burn me!”
Chen Fei didn’t even ask questions — he simply tortured the soul with soulfire.
“Where is that old bastard from the Matriarch Cult?”
Chen Fei asked coldly.
“The patriarch—he’s waiting!”
Qu’a Sacred Ancestor responded immediately, not daring to hesitate.
“He’s absorbing the blood energy! His strength is already at the peak of Earth Dao Realm—he’s only one step from breaking into the Heaven Dao Realm! Ju Mo City is the key! Once he absorbs enough blood, he’ll make the leap!”
Chen Fei’s heart skipped a beat.
That’s why the cultists fought to the death — their sacrifice was deliberate.
He was using them as fuel to break into the Heaven Dao Realm.
“Damn it! We’ve been tricked!”
Suddenly, the city began to shake violently.
A deep, mocking voice echoed from the earth:
“Haha! Just realizing it now? Too late!”
“Not bad, disciple of Tianqing Sacred Land — your perception is sharp. But unfortunately, you’ve already helped me complete my final transformation!”
As the voice rang out, Chen Fei leapt away. The ground split open beneath him, and a dark shadow flashed out.
The others reacted just in time, dodging the bursts of attack from below.
“He’s advancing to Heaven Dao Realm! Damn it!”
“When evil cultivators break through, they draw Heaven’s Lightning of Annihilation—he’s really got guts!”
Their expressions darkened. No one liked being used like pawns, and the feeling of helplessness only added to their frustration.
Elsewhere, in Eastern Pavilion Nation
Mu Yunshu gazed toward Ju Mo City. Beside her, Fang Zhen, head of the Fire Sect, frowned deeply.
“Theft of the Heavens Technique… He’s planning to use the national fate of Eastern Pavilion Nation to shield himself from tribulation lightning!”
He turned toward Mu Yunshu.
“Junior Sister Mu, it’s time to act. The disciples in the city can’t handle a Heaven Dao Realm breakthrough alone!”
Mu Yunshu said nothing.
Wang Situ, however, smiled and spoke instead:
“No need to worry, Sect Master Fang. That one won’t succeed.
Besides, this is one of the Dark Division’s trials. If they pass, it will be to their great benefit.”
Fang Zhen’s face remained cold.
The Dark Division of Tianqing Sacred Land was notorious for its mortality rate — even among the brightest talents, nine out of ten died during missions.
Letting a bunch of mere Human Dao cultivators face a breakthrough into the Heaven Dao Realm?
“Absurd,”
Fang Zhen thought.
Wang Situ noticed his disdain but kept smiling pleasantly, unfazed.
Back in Ju Mo City, just as the aura of breakthrough peaked, Wang Situ squinted toward the horizon.
“Here it comes.”
Suddenly, a series of explosions erupted inside the city.
The surging blood energy stalled.
A furious roar followed.
“Damn it! Who did this?! Who ruined my breakthrough?!
Those cursed bitches—it must be them! I’ll kill you all!”
The Patriarch’s scream was filled with rage and disbelief.
Chen Fei, however, raised his head.
A’yue Holy Mother appeared in the sky—smiling serenely, flanked by several women who resembled her. One by one, their silhouettes shimmered and began to vanish.
“No!!”
The Matriarch Cult Patriarch screamed in despair as their spirits dissipated.
In his rage, he burst from the ground, unable to contain his power.
Ju Mo City collapsed entirely under the force of his emergence.
