Chapter 190: The Blood Cloud Sect
by SurroundedbyBooksChen Fei made his decision and immediately prepared to set off.
Dong Feng gritted his teeth. “Senior Brother Chen, wait for me! If not for your help earlier, I might have already perished in the Xianle Secret Realm!”
As he spoke, Dong Feng’s movements did not slow in the slightest. He quickly pulled out a special container designed to hold the Essence Gathering Spirit Liquid and finished collecting the remaining liquid. Then, he swiftly followed behind Chen Fei.
Chen Fei hadn’t expected Dong Feng to stay behind.
“That beast might have already reached the Yuan Realm. If a battle breaks out, be extra careful,” Chen Fei warned after glancing at Dong Feng.
Dong Feng nodded quickly.
The giant eye floated in midair like a painting hanging in the sky.
Following the direction of the eye, Chen Fei led Dong Feng deeper into the realm. The further they went, the stronger the pressure became.
Suddenly, Chen Fei halted.
“Senior Brother Chen…”
“Silence!” Chen Fei’s expression turned grave as he instinctively held his breath, staring ahead.
He had found the target of this expedition—Heavenly River Star Sand Water!
It was also a type of spirit liquid, one that flowed autonomously, appearing like a river of stars cascading into the water. It was mesmerizing.
On the opposite side of the Heavenly River Star Sand Water was an enormous serpent head.
No—a python, and not just any python—a horned python!
Chen Fei had seen many beasts, but this one’s sheer size was beyond anything he’d imagined. Its cultivation was clearly at a point where it was beginning to evolve into a flood dragon, leaving Chen Fei puzzled.
Unbeknownst to him, at the moment he encountered this giant python, turmoil was erupting outside the Xianle Secret Realm.
Mu Yunsu felt a growing unease. There was something off about the Xianle Secret Realm.
“The seal weakened last time… Could it be because of this?” she muttered, hesitating for a moment before reaching out.
Given her strength, probing the secret realm was a trivial matter.
But the moment her finger touched the barrier, the realm shuddered as if a bubble had been popped, emitting a soft pop!
Mu Yunsu’s expression darkened instantly. “Who dares?!”
As her anger surged, the skies changed. The previously relaxed spectators waiting for the outer disciples to emerge suddenly felt an oppressive force pressing down, making it hard to breathe.
A crimson glow formed before Mu Yunsu. Her pupils narrowed. “Blood Cloud Sect! So you really haven’t given up!”
A fierce light flickered in her eyes as the once dreamy secret realm now turned entirely blood red.
“What’s happening, Elder Mu?!”
“Such a strong aura of death… why is it appearing here?!”
Elders from the Sacred Gate arrived first, followed quickly by other sect members.
Although outer disciples could be expelled after failing to make progress, they were still the sect’s reserve force. If anything happened to them, it would be a huge loss to Tianqing Sacred Land.
Especially now—with such terrifying energy emerging within the land, they could not afford to take this lightly.
“Elder Mu, what happened?” asked Chu Yan of the Jin Gate.
Mu Yunsu stared at the secret realm with a gloomy expression. “Remnants of the Blood Cloud Sect have infiltrated the Xianle Secret Realm. They may be after the Blood Sect Ancestor!”
“What?!”
“If the Blood Sect Ancestor escapes his imprisonment… what about the other beasts inside?” Chu Yan asked nervously.
Mu Yunsu nodded grimly. “If that happens, the beasts suppressed by the realm will break free as well. However, given how long the Blood Ancestor has been sealed, his blood and vitality will be severely depleted. He’ll likely target the beasts first.”
Just the ancestor alone wouldn’t be enough to scare the Sacred Land. Upon his release, he would face their wrath immediately.
But what worried them the most were the disciples still inside.
Even if they were only outer disciples, a high casualty count would be a massive blow to Tianqing Sacred Land.
“Elder, please… do something! Chen Fei is still inside!” Miao Yue pleaded.
Mu Yunsu took a deep breath and looked deeply into the secret realm.
Chen Fei’s identity was special, but even so, she couldn’t afford to act recklessly. Breaking open the secret realm would cause devastating consequences—and Chen Fei alone wasn’t worth that risk.
More importantly, the Blood Cloud Sect likely had additional plans. Even if the Blood Ancestor was freed, how could he possibly escape Tianqing Sacred Land alone?
As if to confirm her fears, just as the infiltration was discovered, a red light appeared within the sacred land.
Outside the Tianqing Sacred Land, a man in a crimson robe, looking scholarly and refined, opened a folding fan with a snap. “Looks like our people succeeded. It’s been a long time, Tianqing Sacred Land…”
“Greetings, Sect Lord!”
As he finished speaking, a chorus of voices rose behind him in unison.
The man raised his hand slightly. “Are we ready? Then let’s begin.”
As he spoke, a thick blood-red mist spread across the clearing behind him.
The man took a deep breath, his face showing a hint of intoxication. “Yes… this is the feeling. Immortal artifacts, huh? Heh.”
With a wave of his hand, a dark red tiger talisman fell into the crimson mist. The moment it appeared, it absorbed the blood fog and transformed into a giant tiger etched with glowing runes. With a deafening roar, it smashed the mountain ahead into rubble.
And so, the assault began.
“Report! The Blood Cloud Sect has gathered outside our gates and launched a full-scale attack! The Guardian Spirit of the Mountain has been blocked. Awaiting orders!”
Mu Yunsu gritted her teeth. “Chu Yan, take your men and intercept the remnants of the Blood Cloud Sect! I’ll find a way to get the disciples out of the Xianle Secret Realm!”
“Yes!” Chu Yan answered without hesitation.
The other sect members followed, their faces grim.
The Blood Cloud Sect, hidden for years, had suddenly launched a massive offensive—clearly prepared for war. This was going to be a bloody battle.
Despite the news, the gathered disciples did not retreat. Instead, they volunteered to fight.
“I’ve notified the Sacred Hall to initiate the Sect Protection Mission. All disciples, listen up—defend Tianqing Sacred Land at all costs!” Mu Yunsu declared.
“Understood!” the crowd responded without hesitation, quickly rushing to the Sacred Hall. This was a rare chance to earn merit—no one wanted to miss it.
And besides, they had their pride. Now that the enemy had come knocking, how could they not fight back?
Mu Yunsu wasted no time and attacked the secret realm directly. But the moment she touched it, a blood-red barrier enveloped it.
“Damn it! The Blood Cloud Barrier! How many innocent lives have these monsters slaughtered now?!” Mu Yunsu’s face twisted with worry.
Every second that passed meant greater danger for those still trapped inside the Xianle Secret Realm.
