"What’s the reason?" Xu Fan asked, sitting up.

"Your past life came to see me. Perhaps she was moved by my words," Xu Fan replied.

"My past life?" Xu Yuexian asked, confused.

"Your past life must have used some method to leave a trace of consciousness within you. I wouldn’t have noticed it if she hadn’t revealed herself. Quite a clever trick," Xu Fan praised.

"Then why didn’t she help me when I was deceived by the upper realm?"

Just then, Grape’s voice chimed in. "Master, the Invincible Beast King from the Iron-eating Beast Clan in the demon race wishes to see you."

"Invite him in. He did help the human race once," Xu Fan instructed.

"Greetings, supreme of the human race," the Iron-eating Beast said, bowing clumsily.

Xu Yuexian was puzzled but went to the treasure house to fetch a small jar of celestial spirit tea. She knew that when her master asked her to prepare tea, it meant to use the best. Otherwise, Grape would have handled it.
