The little fox turned around and looked at her.

“Very impressive,” Xia Yi admitted. “But catching them like that is a bit slow.”
She walked to the riverbank and released a restrained chant, summoning several ice spikes that shot into the water, instantly spearing multiple fish.
Seeing this, the little fox grew indignant.
“My nemesis! Y-you could catch fish like that, so why did you make me do it? You were just playing with me!!”
“Because it was fun,” Xia Yi replied cheerfully. “Watching Fox-radish catch fish is really entertaining~”
“You evil silver dragon! You’re bullying me again!!” The little fox was so angry she almost lunged forward to bite Xia Yi.
“Alright, alright. You can rest now,” Xia Yi said with a laugh. “Leave the grilled fish to me. Just wait and eat.”
“Hmph. That’s more like it!”
Hearing that she could simply rest and wait for food improved the little fox’s mood somewhat.
She found a large rock by the river, jumped up onto it, and lay down comfortably.
From there, she watched Xia Yi as she began cleaning the fish, preparing seasonings, and grilling them over the fire…

The little fox found herself lost in thought.
