A villager from Songhua Village came to report to the village chief.
“You should go and take a look!”

The village chief let out a long sigh.
Without food, these fox clan members might have to dig for wild vegetables or gnaw on tree bark just to survive the winter.
Perhaps strong adults could endure such hardship, but elderly people and young children would surely die in the freezing cold.
They had already reached the end of the road and been forced into a desperate situation.
Now that the White Night Cult had seized control of the country and committed countless atrocities, there was only one way left to be saved.
They had to gather these fox clan people and plead with the dragon clan for help.
The village chief knew well that this was their only chance to survive.

During this time, that train had disappeared from the mountain behind the village, and the dragons had vanished as well.

When Xia Yi received the news, she was still playing with the little fox’s tail, gently rubbing it in her hands.
After finishing her meal and returning to the carriage, she had discovered that the little fox had fallen asleep, perhaps from sheer exhaustion.

She picked up the sleeping little fox and left the carriage together with the other dragons.

At the very front stood the village chief of Songhua Village.
“Elly,” Xia Yi whispered softly.

The village chief knelt on the ground.
The other fox clan civilians also knelt down one after another, pleading with Xia Yi.
“Benefactor, please save our fox clan!! These are all innocent people persecuted by the White Night Cult. Their money and food have been taken from them, they will not survive this winter!!”
The village chief pressed his forehead to the ground, utterly humble.
“If you are unwilling to help us, everyone here will die. But if you are willing to help us… for the sake of survival, we are willing to do anything!!”
“And what does that have to do with our dragon clan? You people have already betrayed the princess’s wishes, you deserve to die here!!”
Elly let out a terrifying roar.
She carefully controlled her power so that it wouldn’t harm anyone. The display was purely meant to intimidate, giving the impression that she was furious enough to slaughter everyone present.
“Wait, Elly,” Xia Yi spoke up. “Do not kill them.”
“Your Highness? But they disobeyed your instructions, ”
“These fox clan people only want to survive,” Xia Yi interrupted. “There’s no need to rush to kill them.”
“…Yes, Your Highness.” Elly lowered her head and returned to her human form.
“You want to survive, don’t you?”
Xia Yi stepped forward slowly toward the fox clan and looked at the kneeling village chief.
“Yes.”
“I have said this before. The dragon clan does not interfere in the internal affairs of the fox clan. Your lives and deaths have nothing to do with us,” Xia Yi said coldly.
“But…!!”
Just as the village chief was about to fall into despair again, Xia Yi suddenly changed her tone, and performed an action that shocked everyone present.
