Inner Demon Xia Yi raised her hand and summoned the holy sword.
Seeing this action, Elly was so frightened she almost jumped on the spot.
“Y-Your Highness, Princess, what are you doing?! Why did you summon a weapon?!”
“What am I doing?”
Inner Demon Xia Yi let out a cold laugh.
“Tell me, if a traitor appears inside the Dragon Imperial Palace, how should they be dealt with?”
“They should…”
“Of course the traitor should be purged! Take this!!”
Inner Demon Xia Yi lifted the sword and slashed forward.
“Ah, waaah!!”
Elly hurriedly dodged the strike, then turned and ran.
“Stop right there!!”
Inner Demon Xia Yi raised the holy sword and gave chase.
How could Elly possibly dare to stop? If she did, her head would be chopped off by the holy sword.
“Your Highness, I’m not a traitor!!”
The little green dragon maid shouted loudly while running, trying desperately to explain herself.
“It’s all a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding!!”
“If you’re not a traitor, then why are you running?!” Inner Demon Xia Yi questioned from behind.
“Because you’re chasing me! I don’t dare stop, if I do, my head won’t be safe!”
“Then if you weren’t a traitor, why would I be chasing you? Obviously you’re running away because you’re guilty! Otherwise, why would I even be after you?!” Inner Demon Xia Yi retorted.
“Huh?”
Elly froze for a moment.
Wait… that actually kind of makes sense?
She stopped.
But just as she stopped, another flash of sword light flew past right in front of her.
“Ah!! No, no, no, no!!”
Elly clutched her head and crouched down, narrowly avoiding the strike, then immediately started running again.
She absolutely couldn’t stop, if she did, she’d be done for!
“Your Highness, please stop! I’ve always been loyal to the Dragon Royal Family!! I’ve never committed any act of betrayal, what just happened was completely accidental… it was all an accident!!”
“Silence!”
Inner Demon Xia Yi unleashed a wave of sword energy, blasting apart the wall in front of Elly.
She deliberately controlled the angle of the strike, making sure not to injure Elly.
After all, if she actually cut down the little green dragon maid, there’d be no one left to help her.
“Eek…!”
Elly was forced to stop in her tracks. She turned around, intending to flee in another direction.
But all her movements had already been anticipated by Inner Demon Xia Yi.
The edge of the holy sword stopped right in front of the probationary maid.
“That’s enough, Elly,” Inner Demon Xia Yi said.
“W-w-w… Your Highness, I really am not a traitor…” Elly sobbed, tears welling up, utterly wronged.
“Elly, I can believe you, but only if…”
“I’ll do anything!”
“Good. Elly, you said it yourself. If you truly are innocent, then prove it to me. Prove your loyalty to the Dragon Royal Family.”
“Your Highness, how am I supposed to prove it?” Elly asked, confused.
“I’ll give you a task as an assessment. If you complete it, then I’ll let everything go, the suspicion, and even the matter of you injuring me.”
Inner Demon Xia Yi put away the holy sword and began fishing for her catch.
“Your Highness… What kind of task is it? You’re not planning to stir up trouble, are you?”
Elly felt uneasy.
She had a bad premonition, after all, Xia Yi loved mischief far too much and had caused plenty of trouble in the Dragon Imperial Palace.
Whenever Xia Yi came looking for her to help out, nothing good ever came of it.
“You’re overthinking it, Elly. Choosing to take this assessment will actually benefit your future. Gaining my approval is equivalent to gaining the approval of the Dragon Royal Family. Do you understand?”
“Really…?”
“Fine. If you’re unwilling, then I’ll just report this matter to Xia Lulu.”
Inner Demon Xia Yi sighed and unleashed her ultimate move,
Feigning retreat to advance.
“Elly, even if you’re not a traitor, what do you think will happen if Xia Lulu finds out that you injured me?”
“Th-this…?!”
Elly panicked.
This was bad, really bad. She was currently in her probationary period for becoming a full maid. If word got out that she had been careless on duty and had injured the princess, her chances of becoming an official member would definitely be ruined.
Thinking of this, the little green dragon maid rushed forward and hugged Xia Yi’s leg.
“Your Highness, please let me help you! Please don’t tell anyone about this! Otherwise I’ll never be able to become an official member of the Royal Maid Corps!”
Inner Demon Xia Yi secretly smiled, then put on a stern expression as she reeled in her line, hooking this foolish fish named Elly.

Standing by the floor-to-ceiling window in the corridor, Inner Demon Xia Yi spotted a perfect target, a gentle-looking great beauty, a blue dragon maid with long lake-blue hair.
“Heh heh, you’re really unlucky to have caught my eye,” Inner Demon Xia Yi sneered coldly. “Become a worthless little fish trampled beneath my feet, you pitiful blue dragon maid.”
