“There’s poison in the cola!!!”
Elly shouted at the top of her lungs and smashed the cup of cola to the floor.
She hurriedly stuck out her tongue.
“Ptooey, ptooey, ptooey!”
“So it really is poisoned.”
Xia Yi frowned deeply, the ominous premonition stirring in her heart had indeed come true.
“Elly, what kind of poison is it?”

All the dragons had closed their eyes, reclining against their seats, utterly motionless.

The Flying Swallow sped along the rails, already far from Greenfield City. Night had fallen. Yet the carriage lights had not been switched on. Only the pure, silvery moonlight streamed in through the windows, casting its glow upon Xia Yi and Elly, the only two still awake.
“Elly, check the condition of the others,” Xia Yi instructed.
“Yes, Your Highness!”
Elly immediately obeyed. She approached a dragon delegation member slumped in her seat, propped her upright, and shook her shoulders.
“Hey, wake up! Wake up! This isn’t the time to be sleeping!”
“……”
“Can’t you hear me? Wake up already, stop sleeping!”
“……”
There was no response from the Dragon Clan member.
Xia Yi gestured for Elly to step aside. Raising her finger, she condensed water elements into a sphere and flung the water ball against the dragon’s face. There was still no reaction.
She reached forward, pried open the dragon’s eyelids, and examined the unmoving pupils. That was when she noticed the anomaly.
“Elly, they’re not asleep. They’ve lost consciousness,” Xia Yi said.
“Your Highness, what should we do?”
“We confronted the conductor of the Flying Swallow. There’s definitely something wrong with him!”
“Understood!”
Elly nodded earnestly.
“Please allow me to accompany you, ”
“No. Elly, you stay here. I’ll go alone,” Xia Yi said calmly. “We must remain composed. Everyone else has lost consciousness, someone must guard them. If enemies launch an attack, none of the dragons here would even be able to resist.”
“B-But… it’s too dangerous for you to go alone!” Elly protested anxiously. “It’s my duty to protect your safety! I cannot allow you to face danger by yourself.”
“It’s fine, really. I know what I’m doing. A mere Fox Clan won’t be able to do anything to me,” Xia Yi said with a faint smile. “Stay here. That’s an order.”
“…Very well, Your Highness. Please be careful.”
As it was the princess’s command, Elly, as her maid, could only obey.

Xia Yi left the carriage they had originally boarded and advanced toward the front cars.
None of the carriages ahead were lit. There wasn’t a single person in the seats, they were completely empty. Only the rattling sway of the train echoed through the darkness, making the atmosphere all the more chilling.
Faced with this scene, Xia Yi felt profoundly uneasy. She disliked this horror-film atmosphere intensely. If Sera had been by her side, she would have long since buried herself in her personal maid’s embrace.

“Someone has set up a magic array on the Flying Swallow, suppressing everyone in the carriage. That’s why they lost consciousness and ended up like this.”

The conductor turned and walked away, disappearing into the darkness at the depths of the carriage.
“Stop!”
Xia Yi immediately gave chase, rushing through the carriage at top speed.
But the moment she stepped into the next car, a streak of white sword-light suddenly thrust out from the darkness, aimed straight at her vital point, merciless, intent on killing her in a single blow.
The opponent’s sword was unbelievably fast. It was a situation Xia Yi had never anticipated, leaving her no time to think of how to defend herself.
