Volume 4 Chapter 28
by Need_More_SleepVolume 4 + Chapter 28: A Heart-Demon In Desperate Need of Discipline
The earthen spear that burst from the ground sent Heart-Demon Xia Yi flying.
She crashed to the floor in a rather disheveled state.
But not even a trace of submission existed in her heart, she refused to yield in the slightest.
Heart-Demon Xia Yi possessed an extremely prideful nature—she never believed she should stand beneath anyone. Just now, she had simply been… careless!
She hadn’t used her full strength and let the other side take advantage.
And the result? She was being mocked for it?
Unacceptable!
Unacceptable!
Totally unacceptable!!
Heart-Demon Xia Yi stood back up. Seeing the smug expression on Xia Lulu’s face, anger surged like a volcano. Without thinking, she blurted out the most explosive line possible—
“You flat chested, ironing board, runway model airplane field bottom tier scrub—what are you so proud of!!”
From appearances alone, although Xia Lulu was also a silver-haired, silver eyed dragon loli, there were differences.
For example, whether or not she had an ahoge.
Another difference—chest size.
Xia Yi was far from flat-chested. But Xia Lulu… was another story entirely. Her chest could only be described as pitiful—a completely unremarkable washboard.
In her fury, Heart-Demon Xia Yi spoke without restraint, grabbing this flaw and striking Xia Lulu where it hurt.
Xia Lulu’s expression froze.
“You… what did you just say?”
It looked like the words hit her hard.
Heart-Demon Xia Yi was delighted.
Does this work? Perfect—time to continue the verbal assault!
“I said you’re a flat washboard. Didn’t you hear me?”
“……”
“If you didn’t hear it, I’ll say it until you do. Understand?”
Heart-Demon Xia Yi even stuck out her tongue and made a mocking face.
“Washboard~ washboard~”
Xia Lulu’s gaze went icy. A cold, killing intent flooded between her brows as she stared wordlessly at Heart-Demon Xia Yi.
But Heart-Demon Xia Yi wasn’t the least bit intimidated. She tightened her grip on the holy sword, letting murderous sword intent leak out.
“I wasn’t serious just now. Next, I’ll use my real strength. Prepare yourself, bottom tier scrub!”
Xia Lulu raised her hand. This time she didn’t use chant-suppression, instead she seriously began chanting magic—a true incantation, in the language of dragons. Her silver eyes glowed faintly.
“Oh? Lost your reason because you got angry? Chanting magic in front of a swordswoman! Do you think I’ll just stand here and watch, scrub?”
Heart-Demon Xia Yi stepped back, releasing a burst of gale-force wind and shooting forward like an arrow let loose.
Her charge was so fast that even her figure blurred.
At that moment, Xia Lulu raised her other hand as if locking onto her target—then clenched her fist.
Two massive arms erupted from beneath the ground.
Summoned instantly through chant-suppression, the clay giant’s arms emerged like a pair of beast traps, clasping toward Heart-Demon Xia Yi.
“These flimsy summons can’t stop me!!”
From between the giant palms, golden light leaked out. A radiant sword-slash exploded forth, shattering the arms without slowing her much.
Suspended mid-air, she focused her gaze sharply and pointed the sword tip at Xia Lulu.
“Holy Sword—Illuminate!!”
The holy sword Gram flared with gold light. Sword energy surged, and Heart-Demon Xia Yi poured all her draconic might into the blade, charging at Xia Lulu.
She became a streaking golden meteor—unmatched, piercing the air with such force that even space trembled. Nothing could stop the golden star.
The golden storm whipped Xia Lulu’s clothes wildly, her silver hair billowing behind her.
But despite the pressure, the Silver Dragon Queen did not cease chanting. She continued her spell, unwavering.
“Disappear, scrub!!” Heart-Demon Xia Yi roared.
To her, Xia Lulu appeared completely defenseless—simply waiting to be cut down.
This would decide victory.
Bang!
Xia Lulu seemed to swing a weapon—an enormous silver blur slammed downward, striking the holy sword. The explosive force numbed Heart-Demon Xia Yi’s entire arm, and she nearly lost her grip.
Xia Lulu had parried the attack.
Heart-Demon Xia Yi couldn’t comprehend it—she had clearly seen every one of Xia Lulu’s movements, and the woman had not drawn any weapon.
So what did she just use to counterattack?
When she finally saw it, her pupils shook—
It was a tail!!
Xia Lulu had used her own dragon tail like a weapon and blocked the holy sword.
Heart-Demon Xia Yi was even more stunned. Could that still be called a tail? That was a full-fledged weapon!!
At the same time, Xia Lulu’s incantation was complete.
“Snow-Frost Domain—unfold.”
Gale winds and blizzards flooded the northern capital’s skies. One moment, the sky was clear, the next, a world-swallowing blizzard raged across everything.
The air grew frigid, biting cold sweeping through the domain. Vision blurred, swallowed by the storm.
This ice-snow domain created by Xia Lulu’s overwhelming magic was like a world entirely under her rule.
“What domain? Stop bluffing! This won’t work on me!!”
Unwilling to concede, Heart-Demon Xia Yi swung the holy sword.
But Xia Lulu didn’t even move. Wind and snow gathered around her, guided as if by her will alone, blocking the sword-slash entirely.
Seeing this, Heart-Demon Xia Yi faltered. Why couldn’t she even touch her?
Just then, a chain of pure ice shot out from behind Xia Lulu and wrapped around Heart-Demon Xia Yi’s waist.
“What… what is this!?”
She tried to rip it apart but quickly realized the spell’s grade far surpassed fourth-tier magic—she couldn’t break it.
More chains flew out, binding her limbs, and lifting her helplessly into the air before Xia Lulu.
The holy sword dropped onto the snow-covered ground.
“My dear daughter, you certainly are bold.”
Xia Lulu lifted her foot and stepped down.
The holy sword shattered.
“The holy sword!?” Heart-Demon Xia Yi stared, aghast.
Then something clicked in her mind.
The silver haired dragon loli before her… was powerful—far beyond what she could currently reach.
And she kept calling her “daughter.”
Could she truly be… the Silver Dragon Queen—the mother Xia Yi had always muttered about defeating?
“You bottom tier scrub! Put me down right now!!”
Heart-Demon Xia Yi’s legs kicked wildly in mid-air. No matter how she struggled, nothing changed.
“Heh… you really are in dire need of discipline, daughter.”
Xia Lulu gave a cold smile and flicked her fingers.
Another chain wrapped around Heart-Demon Xia Yi’s tail, lifting it.
The area that had been hidden beneath the large dragon tail was suddenly exposed.
“Scrub—what are you trying to do?!” Heart-Demon Xia Yi panicked.
Xia Lulu only smiled silently.
And Heart-Demon Xia Yi gradually realized the queen’s intention—panic turning into uncontrollable dread.
“N-no, no! You can’t—absolutely not!!”
