Volume 4 Chapter 26
by Need_More_SleepVolume 4 + Chapter 26: Help Me!
“Your Highness the Princess, t-today I will take you back!!” Elly shouted at the top of her lungs.
This maid who was usually timid had, for once, mustered an unusual bit of courage.
But she had no choice—her whole nine clans were practically hanging from her belt right now. If she didn’t toughen up, then they would all be splattered on the ground together.
“Just a low-tier nobody, and you dare challenge me?”
Heart Demon Xia Yi spoke with open contempt:
“I let you walk away, yet you refuse and insist on being disciplined. Fine, I’ll indulge you today!”
“Haaa!! Maid Tornado Kick!!”
Elly leapt into the air, spinning rapidly like a top, her legs whipping out again and again with frightening speed.
Her leg snapped out like a whip, lashing toward Heart Demon Xia Yi.
Heart Demon Xia Yi didn’t dodge or defend. She chose to counter head-on—lifting her own leg, twisting her waist, spinning her body to draw out the power of the Dragons, matching Elly’s whip-kick with one of her own.
Boom!
Their shins collided mid-air, crossing tightly as the two exerted force against one another. The impact sent out a shockwave that blasted the dessert shop’s chairs away.
At the same time, the gust blew the hat from Heart Demon Xia Yi’s head, her long silver hair spilling out into full view.
The entire dessert shop went silent in shock.
“T-This is… Her Highness the Princess! Silver hair, silver eyes!”
“It’s the Silver Dragon Princess!”
“But why is the Princess fighting the Royal Maid Corps?!”
Everyone was utterly confused.
Everyone knew the Royal Maid Corps served the Dragon Palace—yet here they were, brawling with royalty in a public shop?
The scene left the entire crowd dumbfounded.
“What a pathetic, low-tier maid attack.”
Heart Demon Xia Yi mocked.
Such an attack truly posed no threat to her.
“Useless, useless, useless!”
“Your Highness, please stop!” Elly pleaded. “If this continues, I really will have to resort to special measures!”
“Hmph. You think scaring me will work? Take this!”
Heart Demon Xia Yi strengthened her leg and shoved Elly away.
Then she stomped down hard on the floor.
Boom!
The force lifted every table off the ground.
With swift movement techniques, Heart Demon Xia Yi dashed between the airborne tables, tapping them with light strikes—launching each one forward like cannon shells. They all shot toward Elly, sealing every possible retreat.
Elly bowed her head and took a deep breath.
“Rooaaar!!!”
She unleashed a Dragon Roar, shattering the barrage.
The shockwave pulverized every table in the shop. The windows, glass, and chandeliers all shattered to pieces, scattering across the floor.
“T-They’re actually fighting for real!!”
“Run!”
“I do NOT want to get dragged into this!”
All the dragon customers in the shop bolted out in panic, terrified of being caught in the crossfire.
It only took a heartbeat for the dessert shop to become a disaster zone—walls and ceiling smeared with dessert remnants everywhere.
“You low-tier maid… so you do have some skill,” Heart Demon Xia Yi muttered.
And it was only natural.
Even though Elly was merely an apprentice maid, anyone who could enter the Dragon Palace as a candidate member of the Royal Maid Corps had to meet one iron requirement—
Power.
Her strength rivaled, if not surpassed, that of the formal Dragon Guards. And she was still young, with room to grow and enormous potential.
“Your Highness, it’s still not too late to turn back!” Elly begged again. “Return now and apologize to Her Majesty!”
“What a joke. Listen well— even if the Silver Dragon Queen herself showed up, I’d beat her together with you!”
Heart Demon Xia Yi threw out another vicious threat.
“Don’t think I’m out of options.”
“Y-Your Highness, you mean…?”
“A moment ago, I was only playing with you. Hand-to-hand combat isn’t exactly my forte.”
Heart Demon Xia Yi raised her hand as the sigil of the Holy Sword began to glow.
“Answer my call—Holy Sword, Gram!”
A golden holy blade appeared in response.
Casually, she swung it once.
“U-ugh…!!”
Terrified, Elly dove aside. The stone pillar behind her was cleaved apart by the sword aura.
“The moment I draw my Holy Sword, low-tier maid, your defeat is already assured.”
Heart Demon Xia Yi pointed the blade at Elly.
“Tell me—what ability do you have to drag me back?”
“……”
Elly fell silent.
The task she’d been assigned was utterly unreasonable. Forcing the Princess back was practically impossible.
Even if she could win—what would that matter?
The Princess could simply run away!
Which was why, before setting out, Elly had already consulted someone.
And come up with a perfect plan.
“Help me, Senior Atiya!!” Elly shouted.
Heart Demon Xia Yi scoffed.
“Cornered and calling for backup? How pathet—what!?”
Before she finished speaking, the dessert shop began to tremble violently.
The entire space was distorted.
She looked outside in shock—
the whole dessert shop was rising into the sky.
What in the world?
Sensing danger, Heart Demon Xia Yi tried to break out, but Elly threw herself forward recklessly.
“Trying to run, Your Highness?!”
Elly’s speed suddenly surged. She closed the distance and rained punches down like a storm.
It wasn’t an attack meant to win—
only to keep Heart Demon Xia Yi from escaping.
This green dragon maid was like a slippery eel—sticky and relentless.
“You—move!”
“No no no!! Your Highness, you are NOT escaping today!!”
“In that case… I’ll just tear this place apart!!”
Heart Demon Xia Yi stabbed the holy sword into the floor, channeling sword aura through it.
Energy surged through every corner—
and the entire dessert shop exploded into fragments.
Only then did Heart Demon Xia Yi realize—
they were in mid-air, right above the Dragon Palace, with a massive blue dragon hovering overhead.
She understood instantly.
The so-called “backup” the maid had called wasn’t here to fight—
but to rip the entire dessert shop off the ground and carry her straight back to the palace.
“Aaaaahhh!”
Elly fell to the ground landing painfully on her rear, rolling around in agony.
Heart Demon Xia Yi, meanwhile, adjusted her posture and landed gracefully.
She was furious. These low-tier nobodies dared to scheme against her?!
“You useless riffraff… you’re all begging for death…!!”
She rose, ready to cut them all down—
—but then a young dragon girl’s voice spoke behind her.
“My dear daughter, you certainly caused quite the scene~”
