“Silver Dragon Princess, please have your Dragon Clan guard the gate properly. Afterwards, as planned, open the gate to our allied nations, allowing their troops into the Holy Crimson Empire to jointly defeat the Vampire Ancestor… My previous words were impulsive, I apologize.”
“If you had said that from the start, nothing would have happened. No need to make things awkward for yourself,” Xia Yi remarked, not even acknowledging Kennedy’s apology.
The dragons nearby all laughed at Kennedy’s pitiful state.
In the circus, you’re the busiest, in a deck of cards, the Joker.
Fun, isn’t it? Why stop enjoying it now?
The dragons felt completely vindicated, this fool had been utterly crushed by Xia Yi.
“Silver Dragon Princess, the battle has just ended. There are still many matters that require my attention. I will take my leave and not continue to accompany you.”
Kennedy, unable to endure the dragons’ gaze any longer, found an excuse and departed with the elves.

Let’s go assist the captain and take care of the final trouble ourselves.” Xia Yi stood up. “Send orders, activate the gate’s internal protective magic array. Prepare to strike the last of the Vampire Clan reinforcements and end this battle once and for all!”
The gate had already fallen, and the commander of the garrison, Oune, had surrendered.
If the Vampire Clan reinforcements arrived to see this scene, their morale would collapse entirely, and the dragons would easily crush them.
Oune, understanding that victory was hopeless, had no hope left after witnessing Xia Yi’s strength. He sighed deeply, though a trace of unwillingness remained.

“Vampire Ancestor, the border gate fell in a single day, now in the hands of foreign forces.”
Elizabeth blinked, slightly surprised. The garrison had possessed a special position to reduce sunlight’s impact. Even the Vampire Clan could fight during the day. There was no reason for such a quick defeat.
“Which foreign force?”
“The Dragon Clan! The Silver Dragon Princess personally led the team. While the elves and the garrison fought, the Dragon Clan struck, broke through the gate’s defenses, and defeated Commander Oune!”
After speaking, the envoy lowered his head, bracing for the Vampire Ancestor’s rage.
Yet, unexpectedly, Elizabeth did not become angry, she even… smiled?
