Xia Yi leaned close to Eve and whispered her request softly.
After listening, Eve looked somewhat surprised. “Xia Yi, what do you need that for?”
“Hehe, well…”
Xia Yi smiled mysteriously.
“That’s a secret. It will be very useful to me.”
“…Alright, I can try.”
Eve nodded and agreed.
“Later, I’ll send someone to deliver it to you.”
“Great~ Thank you~” Xia Yi replied.
Afterward, the Elves arranged treehouses within the camp for the dragons to rest.
Under Xia Yi’s orders, the soldiers who had been exhausted from their long journey finally got to rest.
…
“Your Highness, the Elven treehouses are amazing!”
Elly, still carrying the burlap sack, wandered around inside the treehouse, feeling very intrigued and couldn’t help but marvel.
It was Xia Yi’s first time seeing one too.
The treehouse was located inside a tree. According to the Elves, an ordinary-sized tree, under the influence of natural magic, rapidly grew and simultaneously formed a brand new space within itself.
All the furniture inside this space was wooden, including the table, chairs, and bed. Even the pillows and blankets were made of leaves.
Staying inside the treehouse, one could clearly feel that this dwelling had the ability to automatically adjust temperature and humidity to a level suitable for the occupant. It also offered protection against wind. It was simply incredibly convenient.
“The Elves’ natural magic truly has its unique merits,” Xia Yi sighed with feeling. “It’s a shame it’s exclusive to the Elves, other races can’t learn it.”
This is somewhat similar to racial traits.
For example, the vampire’s ability to manipulate the Blood Pool, or the undead’s resurrection characteristic… and so on.
“Your Highness, imagine if Elves could go to other countries and build these treehouses in large numbers. Wouldn’t that solve the housing problems for many races? For instance, certain demi-human races wouldn’t have to live in the wild anymore,” Elly had a sudden idea. “The Elves could totally become architects and make a fortune in various countries!”
“That won’t work, Elly,” Xia Yi shook her head. “These treehouses aren’t permanent. They require continuous maintenance from a spellcaster to sustain the natural magic, or they’ll revert to their original tree form. So they can only be used as temporary camps.”
“So that’s how it is. No wonder we don’t hear much about Elves going out everywhere to build houses.”
Knock knock knock.
Xia Yi heard someone knocking at the treehouse door.
“Silver Dragon Princess, greetings. We were sent by Princess Eve. The items you requested have been delivered. We’ve placed them here. Please take them yourself!” The Elf outside explained and then left.
Xia Yi’s expression immediately changed, a certain light beginning to shine in her eyes.
“Elly, carry the sack to the little dark room at the top. Everyone else, bring the things the Elves delivered up there as well. After that, everyone except Elly, leaves this treehouse and waits outside. Don’t let anyone else approach. No matter what sounds come from inside, ignore them!”
The little princess gave strange orders.
The other dragon soldiers were slightly confused, not understanding what scheme their princess was hatching now, but no one asked further, they all complied.
“As you command, Your Highness.”
…
…
Suddenly, the sack loosened, and Ella, who had been trapped inside, finally breathed the outside air.
She blinked, trying to clear her head. The people she saw before her were…
Xia Yi and her little green dragon maid?
“Mmmph…!”
Ella tried to speak, but her mouth was still stuffed with her own black stockings.
“Alright, Elly, untie Ella and remove the gag from her mouth.”
“As you wish, Your Highness.”
Elly obediently did so.
The black stockings that had been stuffed in her mouth were finally removed.
“Pwah!!”
Ella immediately spat them out, her face red, glaring at Xia Yi with eyes full of fury.
Her first words were—
“You rotten silver dragon! What on earth do you want to do?!”
“So loud…”
Xia Yi covered her ears, but there was no helping it. She still needed to communicate with Ella, so she had to let her talk.
“Where is this? Why did you lock me in this dark little room?!” Ella looked around in panic. “Let me go right now!!”
“Don’t be nervous, Ella. This is the Elven camp. You won’t be in any danger,” Xia Yi explained. “I won’t do anything bad to you either. I have some questions I want to ask you.”
“What questions?”
“In the dream realm, you clearly had me at your mercy. Why did you let me and my inner demon go?” Xia Yi was somewhat concerned about this.
Right.
Why?
She could have enjoyed the little silver dragon “meal,” so why did she let it go?
This question was also troubling Ella.
There was a blank in her memory, she couldn’t recall anything.
But whenever she tried to investigate the details, her head would start to ache, as if an instinctive self-preservation mechanism had deleted some dangerous memories.
“I… had a pang of conscience. I felt bullying someone like that wasn’t very nice.”
Ella simply lied.
“A pang of conscience? Pfft.”
Xia Yi laughed.
Hearing the words “pang of conscience” come out of this shameless succubus’s mouth was the funniest joke in the world.
“I’ve lost my memory! I can’t remember!” Ella shouted.
“Oh? Lost your memory?”
“Xia Yi! Let me go right now!!” Ella yelled. “I did bully you a bit, but there was no other way! Who asked you to owe me so much and not want to repay at all! Since this has happened, let’s just call it even now!”
“Huh? I owe you? Is that true?”
“Of course it is!! You made me work for you for nothing so many times!!”
Ella was furious.
“Back then, you made a contract with me. I helped you with work, but you didn’t fulfill your promise!”
“I’ve lost my memory. I can’t remember!”
Xia Yi mimicked Ella’s earlier tone.
“You… you… you crafty, wicked silver dragon!!” Ella was infuriated by Xia Yi’s mocking.
“Let’s get to serious matters, Ella. There’s something I want your help with.”
“What?”
“I want to borrow your power to deal with the Vampire Ancestor—”
“I won’t help!!” Ella immediately refused.
She wasn’t stupid. She had long heard how terrifying the Vampire Ancestor was. Provoking someone like that was just asking for unnecessary trouble.
“No matter what methods you use, I won’t help!”
“Fine, very well. Then don’t help.”
Xia Yi didn’t say much more about it.
Ella was puzzled. Why was the little silver dragon letting her off so easily?
“Elly, bring it up,” Xia Yi said.
Elly carried over a few large buckets and placed them in front of Ella.
“Ella, you like those weird little manga, don’t you?”
Xia Yi showed a mischievous, sly smile. She opened all the lids one by one in front of Ella, revealing the white, sticky cream inside.
“Since that’s the case, I’ll grant your wish and turn you into a risqué picture~”
