Volume 4 Chapter 127
by Need_More_SleepVolume 4 + Chapter 127: The Unforgettable Little Silver Dragon
Eve was a princess from the Elven Kingdom, the granddaughter of the Elven King.
Due to the Elven King’s wishes, she rarely appeared in public. Most elves merely knew that there was a mysterious princess within the clan, and nothing more.
Eve did not harbor much resentment toward the Elven King’s demands. She simply believed that her grandfather must have had his own considerations.
However, with age taking its toll, the Elven King’s physical condition had been deteriorating. It seemed as though he was no longer able to hold on for much longer.
Thus, as the heir of the elven royal family, Eve had no choice but to gradually take on certain responsibilities and help ease her grandfather’s burden.
It was during this period that Eve encountered a rather strange individual.
A Succubus named Ella.
Succubus were an extremely rare branch of the demon race, shrouded in countless secrets.
Eve had long been troubled by a persistent problem, and as it happened, Ella—being a Succubus—possessed the ability to resolve this particularly thorny issue.
At the same time, Ella also needed the power of the elven race. And so, the two temporarily entered into a cooperative relationship.
Eve had once heard Ella mention something about wanting revenge, but she had never gone into detail…
Eve was genuinely curious. On this vast land, who could possibly cause a Succubus—one who always acted without restraint—to suffer such a setback?
“Ella, is the target of your revenge perhaps the Silver Dragon Princess, Xia Yi · Christie?” Eve asked.
She was communicating with Ella through a secretive method.
“That’s right! That hateful wretch—she ate and ran!!”
During her communication with Eve, Ella was grinding her teeth in fury.
“Ate and ran?”
“It’s just that… that little silver dragon actually betrayed the contract between us!!”
Eve blinked.
She seemed to have heard before that Succubus could form contracts with certain special individuals.
Succubus would create certain… rather unhealthy dreamscapes for their contractors to indulge in, becoming addicted and unable to extricate themselves.
In turn, the Succubus would absorb the contractor’s vital essence through the dreams, feeding upon it.
Of course, Eve was not entirely clear on the specifics. Her relationship with Ella was purely cooperative—something like I give you three coins, you help me buy a bottle of junk food soda.
According to Ella, Eve was the strangest person she had ever met—someone she had absolutely no desire to invade through her Succubus abilities. Ella would even deliberately avoid her whenever possible. If not for cooperation, the two would never have had any interaction at all.
“I must let that little silver dragon know—Succubus Ella is the most untouchable demon in this world!” Ella swore.
“What exactly happened to you?” Eve asked.
“Well… that… anyway… that’s just how it is. You only need to know that much.”
Ella felt deeply ashamed.
Because this entire episode was nothing short of a humiliation in her career as a Succubus.
From the very beginning, she had simply been greedy. Using dream infiltration, she took a small sip of Xia Yi’s essence—only to be caught red-handed by the Silver Dragon Queen, who then forced her to work.
Later, when Xia Yi encountered danger, Ella used the Succubus mark to perform an ultra-long-distance dream infiltration.
In order to secure a long-term meal ticket, she signed a contract with Xia Yi and helped her resolve those troubles.
That series of remote operations drained Ella tremendously.
Xia Yi had promised that she would definitely fulfill her end of the deal and let Ella eat her fill.
But who would have thought—on the day of fulfillment, Xia Yi went to find Xia Lulu and erased the Succubus mark entirely. Everything Ella had done went straight down the drain. From start to finish, she had worked herself nearly to death and gained nothing at all.
This completely shattered Ella’s mindset, making her unable to forget that little silver dragon.
Yet, dealing with the dragon royal family with her strength alone was far too difficult.
Thus, Ella lay low, patiently waiting for an opportunity…
Until she finally found Eve.
“I must make Xia Yi repay everything—principal and interest included!!”
“Eve, there’s something I need to confirm with you…”
“Don’t worry, I know what you want to say. This is merely a personal grudge between me and the little silver dragon. Once the shady stuff is done—oh no, once the matter is resolved—you can continue fighting the Vampire Clan’s progenitor god or whatever. It won’t affect you.”
“Alright, I understand,” Eve replied, indicating that she knew.
Now, her curiosity toward the Silver Dragon Princess—someone capable of driving a Succubus mad—had increased by three points.
“Hey, Eve, I need to warn you in advance—you’re not allowed to develop any ideas about Xia Yi! She’s mine! You’re not allowed to get close to her, and you’re absolutely not allowed to do anything!”
Ella suddenly became alert, like a predator guarding its food, forcefully declaring her stance.
“If you do anything strange, I won’t continue cooperating with you!”
“Don’t worry, Ella,” Eve replied immediately. “I’m not interested in Xia Yi · Christie at all, nor do I care to learn anything about her.”
…
The formation process of the Anti–Vampire Clan Alliance was nearly complete. Delegations from all nations had signed the documents, formally confirming the alliance.
The Anti–Vampire Clan Alliance would exist until the defeat of the Vampire Clan’s progenitor god, Elizabeth. During this period, allied nations were forbidden from waging war against one another and must work together to oppose the Crimson Empire.
“What’s going on? I keep feeling like that elven princess is glancing at me from time to time. Am I… mistaken?” Xia Yi muttered to herself.
“Hmph.”
The little fox looked at Xia Yi, sulking in silence.
Clearly, this stinking dragon was her sworn enemy. Yet after meeting again, instead of continuing their destined entanglement, she kept paying attention to the elven princess and barely said a word to her.
Her irritation kept growing.
Tia, on the other hand, showed little expression. She simply followed the alliance procedures and handled what needed to be done, making no unnecessary movements.
“Then, as of today, the Anti–Vampire Clan Alliance is officially established. We hope that all allies will jointly uphold the alliance. During the validity of the pact, should anyone commit an act of betrayal, the Anti–Vampire Clan Alliance will unite to execute them—”
In the end, Eve and Yue Liu jointly announced the key matters to the allied nations and confirmed the location of the next meeting to discuss how to oppose the Vampire Clan’s progenitor god. With that, everything concluded.
The delegations of all nations began to leave the Pear Isles.
“Your Highness, let us return,” the accompanying dragon guards reminded Xia Yi.
Xia Yi was just about to respond when she sensed something and turned around.
She saw Tia.
Tia also glanced at her.
“Wait here for a moment. I have some personal matters to attend to. Don’t follow me,” Xia Yi said to the dragon entourage.
“As you command, Your Highness. We will wait for you here. Please try to be quick.”
“I’ll be back very soon!”
After leaving those words behind, Xia Yi ran off.
…
Xia Yi made her way to the other side of the Pear Isles, searching near the cliffs. Finally, she spotted a golden figure in the sea domain—standing alone among a cluster of reefs.
She jumped down from the cliff and landed on the rocks, nearly slipping into the water. Fortunately, the little princess reacted quickly, steadying herself with agile movements.
Tia heard the sound and slowly turned around.
Despite this being a private moment, Xia Yi did not know how to begin.
The relationship between them was no longer the same as it had been in the days of the Sword Saint and the Knight Princess…
“Xia Yi—”
Tia spoke Xia Yi’s name.
Even after imagining several possibilities, what Xia Yi had not expected was that the very first sentence Tia uttered would leave her utterly stunned.
