Chapter 345
by fanqienovelChapter 345: The First Time
The black Nascent Soul energy surrounding the White Bone Warship crackled violently when struck by Buddhist light. Countless trapped spirits wailed in agony as the dark smoke rapidly dissipated.
True Young Master nearly choked with rage. This Hatred energy fueled both the warship’s power and defenses. Severe damage to it would cripple the entire vessel.
Seventh-Rank Treasure Ships were priceless assets. True Young Master had recently caused catastrophic trouble, resulting in his brutal slaying by Fang Lie. His family paid dearly for his fourth resurrection, forcing him to accept a deadly mission: enter the Lost Forest and kill Fang Lie. Failure meant his own execution – even his influential family couldn’t save him now.
This bitter reality made him reckless and murderous. His pursuit of East Kunlun scoundrels had unexpectedly provoked bald devils from the Great Thunder Sound Temple. If his precious warship sustained damage, his current position wouldn’t protect him from sect punishment.
Furious but helpless against the suppressing Buddhist light, he accelerated while shouting, "Damned bald devils! Remember this, VIP Sir won’t forget! We’ll settle this later!"
"Hmph!" Master Fa Yin retorted coldly. "Impudent junior! Today you’ll learn the Great Thunder Sound Temple’s might!" He commanded the Buddha Mountain to pursue relentlessly.
Not to be outdone, East Kunlun’s flying sword followed closely. The chase spanned thousands of miles until the sky split – crimson to the left, sickly green to the right.
True Young Master’s eyes lit up. Channeling his Magic, he roared, "Blood Sea Sect and Ghost Realm Sect brothers! Help! These bald devils and East Kunlun fools gang up on me!"
From crimson clouds emerged a 300-foot metallic hall dripping with blood – the Blood Sea Sect’s signature Blood Palace. Below it churned a mile-wide Blood Sea teeming with shape-shifting blood monsters. Legends claimed its metals came from Hell’s Blood Sea, enhancing their blood-based divine skills. This specimen clearly ranked seventh-tier or higher.
A blood-robed noble atop the palace sneered, "Long overdue to teach these bald nuisances a lesson!" The Blood Palace surged toward Buddha Mountain.
Simultaneously, a colossal green flaming skull materialized – the Ghost Realm Sect’s Netherworld Ghost Fire ship. Its construction materials remained mysterious, but all feared the Spiritual Energy-consuming flames coating it.
A shrill voice echoed from the flaming skull: "Never fight Thunder Sound monks without me! Taste Netherworld Ghost Fire!" The skull spewed a jade-green fire column toward Buddha Mountain.
True Young Master laughed wildly, halting his warship to unleash a bone arrow storm.
Master Fa Yin paled. While Buddhist light suppressed evil forces, effectiveness depended on relative strength – like trying to douse a wildfire with teacup of water.
Right now, it is like this: one-on-one, nobody fears Buddha Mountain from Great Thunder Sound Temple. Even facing two foes, they can hold their own, but three would be too much to handle.
So, Master Fa Yin did not dare to take it head-on; he quickly controlled Buddha Mountain to retreat, avoiding the impact of the Blood Sea while taking on the arrows from the White Bone Sect and the Netherworld Ghost Fire. Without saying a word, he immediately turned around and fled.
Seeing this, the people from East Kunlun no longer dared to show off their strength and quickly ran away as well.
Thus, the ridiculous scene just moments ago played out in reverse. The people from Great Thunder Sound Temple and East Kunlun were desperately pursued by the three demonic sects.
Those demons, being scoundrels with foul mouths, could not remain silent while chasing; they mocked as they pursued.
"Bald devils, where do you think you’re going? Stop for the VIP Sir!" shouted the boy in red.
"Bald devils, and sword scoundrels, you really are a perfect match! Since you fit so well, why not die together here? Hahaha!" laughed the kid from the Ghost Realm Sect.
True Young Master was the most excited, boastfully saying, "Weren’t you just enjoying chasing me? Why have you stopped?"
Not only was he the loudest, but he boldly flew above the White Bone warship, even flying outside its protective range, looking like he was asking for a fight.
The people from Great Thunder Sound Temple and East Kunlun were furious, and many impulsive folks even wanted to turn back and fight. But in the end, they were all dissuaded. It was clearly a trap set up by True Young Master; if they turned back, their enemies could simply close in and defeat them easily with the treasure ship. This kid was clearly fishing for them!
Seeing that no one dared to return and fight him, True Young Master became even more smug, laughing wildly, "Haha! I knew you so-called righteous sects were nothing but fools and idiots! Here I am, waiting for you to rid evil and protect the way, yet you don’t even dare to come back! Hahaha!"
In that moment, True Young Master was full of pride, radiating an air of ‘who else but me could take on such a challenge!’
However, at that moment, suddenly, ripples erupted in the space beside him as if an invisible force was flying out.
"Master, be careful!" True Young Master’s protector shouted in terror.
But unfortunately, it was too late. The protector barely finished speaking when True Young Master, still laughing, exploded with a loud bang, scattering into pieces, as if a bomb had detonated within him!
Such a strange scene left everyone present dumbfounded, both righteous and evil sects alike staring in horror.
"What just happened? Who killed True Young Master?"
"True Young Master had several treasures protecting him; why didn’t any activate?"
"It’s because the attack was too sudden! Did you not see the ripples in the space around him? This was a strike that crossed space!"
"That attack was odd; it seemed like True Young Master exploded by himself. Such mysterious injuries aren’t from a sharp weapon, nor a blunt one; they look like they were caused by something fiery?"
"Fiery? Space teleportation, invisible attacks? Damn it, it wasn’t Fang Gang’s Blazing Dragon Cannon, was it?" One person finally realized the truth and couldn’t help exclaiming, "At the Grand Banquet by the Sea and Sky, Fang Gang’s Blazing Dragon Cannon made its debut and seems to have been purchased by Fang Lie!"
Upon hearing this, everyone was once again struck with shock. The fighting ceased immediately as both sides stood on guard.
Though good and evil do not coexist, the five forces present all had enemies in common with Fang Lie. No one wanted to risk a surprise attack while Fang Lie was around, so they all waited quietly for his appearance.
While others could calm down, the members of the White Bone Sect were nearly driven crazy. True Young Master was a figure of significant importance, backed by Thunder Tribulation Immortal. Even if he was not favored by the sect now, his identity and mission made him crucial.
Yet, such an important character died unexpectedly right there. They hadn’t even entered the Lost Forest, and how could they explain this back home?
Especially for True Young Master’s protector; last time True Young Master was killed by Fang Lie, he nearly faced dire consequences himself.
Now, just as True Young Master had resurrected, he had a chance to turn things around, but unexpectedly, he died again, and right before his eyes, without him having any power to intervene.
How could he face this? He didn’t know how he would manage to return after messing this up again.
Therefore, True Young Master’s protector was furious; he charged forward, shouting, "Fang Lie, you despicable thing, come out here and stop hiding!" His furious voice carried for thousands of miles.
And Fang Lie, who had just happened to be nearby, heard him loud and clear.
He had actually arrived earlier and happened upon the East Kunlun flying sword being chased like a stray dog by True Young Master.
Fang Lie found it quite amusing and had no intention of making a move, so he stayed back and watched the hilarity unfold.
With the eyes on the Blazing Dragon Cannon, Fang Lie could observe the situation over a hundred thousand miles away, while they couldn’t see nearly that far, making it perfect for spying.
Fang Lie enjoyed the sight of the chaotic chase, laughing as Great Thunder Sound Temple and East Kunlun were caught in a desperate situation.
He didn’t care whether the two sects lived or died; if True Young Master had stayed obedient, Fang Lie might still have just been enjoying the show.
But True Young Master insisted on seeking his demise! He flew out of the protection of the White Bone warship and deliberately put on a defiant pose.
Upon seeing this, Fang Lie immediately recognized a rare opportunity and decided to take action for the first time since acquiring the Blazing Dragon Cannon.
