Chapter 344
by fanqienovelChapter 344: First Serious Injury
Yuan Qi carried You You back to the Zhen Yan Sect, casting multiple spells repeatedly, but there was little effect. Though the bleeding stopped, her face grew paler.
Black Demonic Energy kept leaking from her body as if something struggled to break free. Yuan Qi tried various suppression methods, but the wild energy kept rampaging through her Meridians. Each time he repaired them, the energy shattered the pathways again in an endless cycle.
The thickening Demonic Energy around her made her resemble a true demon tribes member. Despite exhausting most of his strength, Yuan Qi couldn’t calm the violent energy inside You You – it only grew fiercer.
Yuan Qi’s face darkened as he stared at the deathly pale figure. Clutching her hand, he finally pressed his fingertips to her forehead.
White light flashed as his divine sense entered her Sea of Consciousness. Darkness dominated the space – howling winds, swirling black clouds. Clumps of black energy assaulted everything, desperate to escape.
The energy instantly coalesced into storm clouds when Yuan Qi appeared. Crimson lightning rained down, attacking him while ravaging the Sea of Consciousness.
A white barrier deflected the strikes. Yuan Qi glared at the raging energy. "What do you want?" he demanded.
Only thunder answered, carrying waves of emotion – fury, resentment, destructive urges… and desperate homesickness.
"Return?" Yuan Qi sneered at the storm. "Fools! After dwelling in her this long, can’t you sense who she is?!"
He flung white light upward. It pierced the darkness, revealing a starry sky. The lightning froze mid-strike. The storm clouds stilled. All violent emotions vanished, replaced by… awed realization?
"Leave now if you refuse to serve her!" Yuan Qi commanded.
The clouds trembled, then bleached white. They scattered like chastened children, hurriedly repairing the damage they’d caused.
"Hmph." Yuan Qi’s expression softened. He withdrew from her Sea of Consciousness.
Checking You You’s pulse, he found the energy calm and healing. Color gradually returned to her face. Yuan Qi finally breathed easier.

Outside, a hundred anxious figures waited.
"Why hasn’t Master Yuan emerged? How’s the sect master?" Shui Yan paced, peering repeatedly at the closed doors.
"Master Yuan saved Qiu Zhang’s residual soul. He’ll handle this," Ling Qi said, voice tight with worry he couldn’t hide.
"I’ve never seen her so… so covered in blood." Shui Yan trembled, haunted by the memory of You You’s bloodied form.
The crowd fell silent. None had seen their sect master wounded before. She’d always been their unshakable mountain, shielding the Three Realms from every storm…
"I’m going in!" Shui Yan suddenly turned.
"Don’t!" Hong Fei blocked her path. "Our weak cultivation would only disturb them. The contract marks prove she’s alive."
Before Shui Yan could retort, arguing voices erupted outside. A disciple rushed to Ling Qi: "Elder! The Divine Realm lords and Feng Clan demand answers about some Demon God!"
"What Demon God?" Ling Qi frowned.
"They insist the sect master explains personally!"
"What?!" Shui Yan’s Spirit Sword materialized with a surge of murderous intent. "She’s barely alive and they want explanations? I’ll give them one!"
"Wait!" Hong Fei drew her own blade. "Seventh Heavenly Layer stands with you!"
"Me too!"
"All of us!"
The celestial maidens marched out like an avenging tide, leaving the male immortals exchanging uneasy glances.
This wouldn’t end well.
