Chapter 84: Dragon Turtle Egg
Yi Qianmo never expected that there would be such a terrifying spirit beast as the Dragon Turtle in Yan Mountain Lake!
The Dragon Turtle in front of him, although it was only a second-grade spirit beast, belonged to the king of spirit beasts and its strength far surpassed other spirit beasts of the same level. It could even challenge third-grade spirit beasts.
This means that although the Dragon Turtle in front of him was only second-grade, its power was equivalent to that of a third-grade spirit beast.
Yi Qianmo’s biggest weapon was the Repel Evil in his hand, which was not fully infused with essence yet.
Just as the Dragon Turtle opened its mouth to swallow them, Guan Shanqing pulled Yi Qianmo and jumped in the water, avoiding the Dragon Turtle’s attack, and using the huge waves to swim to the other side.
However, the Dragon Turtle clearly had no interest in the two small creatures and opened its mouth wide to swallow the chasing Monkey King.
Although the Monkey King was huge, he was nothing compared to the dragon turtle. He could not escape in the water and was swallowed whole by the dragon turtle.
Seeing this, Guan Shanqing grabbed Yi Qianmo and immediately swam towards the shore, but just then, the dragon turtle turned and chased after them.
The huge waves made even Guan Shanqing, who was skilled in swimming, struggle to stay afloat.
But at that moment, Guan Shanqing suddenly pushed Yi Qianmo away and swam straight towards the dragon turtle, while sending a message, "Brother Su, I can only repay your kindness in the next life. You must run, I will distract it!"
Watching Guan Hanqing leave, Yi Qianmo felt a warmth in his heart, but he was also helpless because he could not swim at all.
Furthermore, his ancestor’s memory did not include the skill of swimming, so once Guan Shanqing left, he could not even manage to paddle like a dog.
However, Yi Qianmo did not swim towards the shore; he could only continue sinking down. The deeper he went, the less light there was, and the lake water became colder. At that moment, he could no longer see Guan Shanqing, and even the dragon turtle had turned into a shadow.
He did not know how long he had been sinking, but the water in the lake gradually became calm, and everything around him was quiet. At this moment, Yi Qianmo began to feel something strange in his body.
Although it seemed like just a little while, a long time had actually passed. If he did not breathe in air soon, he would likely drown in the lake.
Just when he felt a bit dizzy and his mind was becoming unclear, a soft white light suddenly shone from his chest, and right after that, a figure appeared.
A white figure emerged in the water, opening its deep blue eyes, and suddenly the water around it pushed away.
Around Yi Qianmo, a vacuum space about ten feet wide formed, and the surrounding water could not come in at all.
Yi Qianmo gasped for breath, looking in wonder at Old Bai floating in front of him, all his previous anger about it eating so many of his spirit stones vanished.
"I didn’t expect you to have such a skill," Yi Qianmo said with a bright smile.
Old Bai glared at him fiercely, and from its round body, four small short legs stretched out. It leaped and dove to the bottom of the lake.
"What are you doing?" Yi Qianmo asked.
But Old Bai ignored him and continued to dive deeper into the lake.
After a while, Old Bai suddenly stopped, and from its fluffy body, two cute ears stood up.
As Old Bai’s ears twitched slightly, he continued to swim, and soon a huge cave appeared in the distance.
Without thinking twice, Old Bai dove into the cave, where he noticed a faint glowing light coming from the cave walls.
Yi Qianmo frowned; though he didn’t know what Old Bai was planning, it seemed that this was the old lair of the dragon turtle.
After traveling about a mile, Old Bai suddenly stopped, and deep within the cave, a bright light shone out.
With a swoosh, Old Bai took Yi Qianmo inside, where a vast space opened up, and in the center of this space, there was a vacuum-like area, as if it were enchanted.
Within that enchanted area, five purple eggs were placed, each about the same size as Old Bai’s body.
"Turtle egg!"
Yi Qianmo’s eyes lit up.
The dragon turtle was a top-tier beast, with its entire body full of precious treasures, not to mention these turtle eggs.
Old Bai surprisingly ignored the barrier and directly entered the void, picked up a turtle egg, and swallowed it without even chewing.
With a "gulp," Old Bai, who had swallowed the turtle egg, had a gleam of delight in his eyes, and then picked up another turtle egg and swallowed it whole.
It was only then that Yi Qianmo reacted. As Old Bai swallowed the second one, he quickly put two of them into the Sword Pill.
Just after swallowing the second one, Old Bai saw that there was only one left, and the fluffy white fur on his body turned bright red.
He stared at Yi Qianmo, pouting and making "chirping" sounds, as if saying, "Why are you stealing my turtle egg?"
Yi Qianmo pointed at the last turtle egg and said, "Isn’t there still one left? You take three, I take two, you’re still winning!"
"Chirp chirp!"
Old Bai stretched out his short little paw, angrily pointed at the turtle egg, then pointed at himself, as if saying, "Even though I’m greedy, I wouldn’t be shameless enough to dig up a grave!"
Watching his gestures, Yi Qianmo surprisingly understood and angrily shouted, "You’re the one stealing the eggs, and now you’re saying I’m digging up graves?"
Old Bai, upon hearing this, glared at him fiercely and suddenly turned into a flash of light, diving into his arms.
"Feeling too ashamed to show your face!"
Yi Qianmo looked very proud.
Just then, a sudden "whoo whoo" sound came from outside the cave.
Yi Qianmo’s face suddenly changed, "You little thief, you stole someone’s things and then hid away, making me take the blame. Don’t you have any shame!"
He finally understood why Old Bai didn’t argue with him and just hid.
But at that moment, he didn’t have time to settle things with Old Bai, so he immediately swam towards the cave’s opening. However, Old Bai was so harsh that he didn’t even push away the water around him.
By the time he leisurely swam to the cave entrance, he saw a huge dark shadow diving down. The dragon turtle’s wrinkled face had two eyes the size of lanterns that shone with a deadly light.
However, Yi Qianmo was surprised to find a huge bloody hole in the dragon turtle’s belly, with bright red blood continuously flowing in and turning the lake water a deep red.
But the blood hole is healing at a visible speed right now.
"Master, this is a powerful thing!"
The Repel Evil Sword transmitted the creepy voice of Taoist Qingmu.
"Why didn’t you show up when I was about to die?"
Yi Qianmo said with annoyance.
"Master, please don’t blame me; I couldn’t do anything in that situation."
Taoist Qingmu said, "But now, Master, you have to take a chance and stab the sword into that blood hole to find a way to survive. Hurry, or it will heal!"
However, Yi Qianmo stood still at the cave entrance. With his speed in the water, it would surely swallow him if he swam over now; he only had one chance.
As the dragon turtle moved closer, the pressure became stronger. Earlier, the dragon turtle wasn’t targeting him, so the pressure wasn’t so intense, but now it made his body tremble slightly.
Just as the dragon turtle opened its mouth, still three yards away from the cave entrance, Yi Qianmo suddenly moved. All his spiritual power gathered in his legs, and he stomped on the cave wall, like a sharp arrow shot through the water.
With a whoosh, at the moment the dragon turtle was about to swallow him, he brushed past the dragon turtle’s body, then thrust his sword fiercely into the almost healing wound.
At first, the dragon turtle showed no reaction and continued swimming into the cave, but as the blood curse from Repel Evil erupted, Yi Qianmo felt the dragon turtle tremble all over, and the powerful force nearly made him lose his grip on the sword.
"Woooo!!!"
Then the dragon turtle suddenly let out a terrible roar, turned its head, swam out of the cave, and sped towards the surface of the lake.
Under this terrifying water pressure, Yi Qianmo, holding the sword, felt as if all the bones in his body were about to shatter.
