Chapter 7: Gu Ran Also Awakened His Spatial Ability?
Gu Ran had killed one of their companions, so they were definitely not going to let him go.
Although this situation had been instigated by them, they wouldn’t blame themselves deep down.
Gu Ran indeed felt something was off; his heart was racing, and he could distinctly feel the throbbing of his pulse.
“Break his arms and legs. Since he dared to kill one of us, he can’t be left unscathed,” the ear-stud boy commanded his subordinates. “Don’t worry, if he dares to resist, I’ll put a bullet in him.”
“Understood, Boss.” The boys, no longer bothering to check their own injuries, quickly got up and moved towards Gu Ran.
Their eyes were filled with the pleasure and excitement of revenge.
In retrospect, it was really embarrassing how they had been frightened by Gu Ran earlier.
Now, with the boss and his gun, what tricks could this guy still pull?
“Do you want to die?” Gu Ran tried to make himself appear fierce, glaring at the boys.
But this only excited them further, as they saw the sweat on Gu Ran’s forehead and his pale face.
“Haha, it seems the boss was right. That punch must have exhausted him. He probably has no strength left now. It’s really humiliating that we were so terrified.”
“We can avenge Old Four’s death. That baby must be his sister, right? Old Four died because of her. Let’s kill her together and bury her with Old Four.”
Gu Ran’s eyes nearly burned with fury, his fists clenched tightly as he glared at the boys like a wild beast.
“Don’t you dare hurt—”
Bang!
A gunshot rang out, but it didn’t hit anyone; it was fired into the air.
The ear-stud boy smirked, playing it cool. “Hey, kid, I’m warning you. If you dare resist, the next bullet will be for you. Maybe you don’t care about your own life, but what about your sister? Can you shield her from bullets?”
Gu Ran’s clenched fists slowly relaxed as he looked at the ear-stud boy. “If I don’t resist, will you let this baby go? She’s actually an adopted baby, not my sister. I know you won’t take care of her. I only ask that you leave her in a place with people so that someone else can adopt her.”
“One person does the deed, one person takes the consequences. I killed your companion, she’s just a baby, and she’s not involved in this. I’ll let you deal with her as you see fit.”
Seeing Gu Ran’s compromise, the boys surrounding him sighed in relief.
To be honest, although the boss had restored their confidence, facing those beast-like eyes again made them subconsciously fearful.
The ear-stud boy initially wanted to refuse, wondering why he should agree to this when he had the gun and they didn’t.
However, when he saw Gu Ran’s intense gaze, a chill inexplicably ran down his spine, making him swallow the words he was about to say.
“Well, it depends on my mood. If your suffering while being beaten can make me happy, I might consider your request. Don’t worry, our Canglang Gang is a gang that keeps its promises. We’ll do what we say.”
The ear-stud boy said.
Gu Ran uttered one word: “Good!”
He then slowly moved to the side, gently untied the baby from the cloth bag, and set her down on the ground.
“It seems our bond as family lasted less than a day.” Gu Ran murmured with a bitter smile.
Gu Ran hesitated for a moment, wanting to say something but ultimately said nothing more.
Returning to the boys, Gu Ran slowly raised his hands to cover his head and crouched down.
“You can start.”
The boys exchanged glances before turning to Gu Ran. “Fine, you said it. If you dare resist, remember what the boss just said.”
They were still somewhat scared of Gu Ran’s earlier resistance, so they relied on the boss’s intimidation to keep him in check.
Gu Ran kept his head down in silence.
Soon, kicks, sticks, and fists rained down on Gu Ran like a storm.
Seeing that Gu Ran indeed did not resist, the boys gradually lost their fear and became increasingly vicious.
“Haha, weren’t you very impressive just now? Come on, hit me again, hit me harder!” one boy yelled, savagely beating Gu Ran’s head with a stick.
Quickly, Gu Ran’s injuries multiplied. The wounds on his head, which had already scabbed, reopened and even expanded, blood streaming down his face.
Yet, throughout it all, Gu Ran did not make a sound.
Eventually, the boys grew tired. They looked at the ear-stud boy, “Boss, what should we do next?”
The ear-stud boy walked over, looking at the collapsed Gu Ran with a cold smile. “What’s next? We need to break his arms and legs. Even if he’s not a martial arts genius, he might still have some martial arts talent. If he counterattacks before he dies, we might end up in trouble.”
With that, the ear-stud boy stomped heavily on Gu Ran’s wrist, then twisted it.
The sound of bones shattering echoed.
Gu Ran groaned in pain but still did not scream.
The ear-stud boy then picked up an iron rod and began to beat Gu Ran’s legs with it, continuing until his legs were deformed.
Sweat poured down.
Gu Ran gritted his teeth, merely grunting in pain.
“That’s good now.” The ear-stud boy tossed the iron rod aside. “Even if he was a martial arts genius, now he’s just a martial arts waste.”
The ear-stud boy finally felt a sense of relief. No one knew that he had been filled with fear when he saw Gu Ran’s eyes earlier.
He had actually felt fear towards Gu Ran!
This made the ear-stud boy furious, which was why he had disabled Gu Ran’s arms and legs, removing any threat he posed.
The ear-stud boy, calming his inner fear, looked at the limp Gu Ran and suddenly smiled. “Well, well, well, you’re quite a tough guy. It’s a pity. If today hadn’t happened, I might have invited you to join our Canglang Gang.”
“But since you dared to oppose us, oh right, I need to tell you something.”
“In fact, I was lying to you earlier. I’m going to kill you, and I’m going to kill your sister too.”
“She’s important to you, right? I’ll make sure she dies in front of you and let you watch her die.”
This was the ear-stud boy’s revenge for his fear of Gu Ran.
“You have no—” Gu Ran struggled to lift his head, glaring at the ear-stud boy, his voice coming through gritted teeth.
“Credit? Haha, you expect a gang to keep promises? How naïve,” the ear-stud boy said, pointing his gun at the baby on the ground. “Besides, I never promised you anything.”
“I said I might consider sparing her if your suffering made me happy, but you didn’t make me happy at all.”
“So, she’s going to die.”
“This gun is new, hasn’t killed anyone yet. It’s lucky for her to be its first victim today.”
“Watch closely.”
Bang!
With that, the ear-stud boy’s face twisted into a cruel smile as he pulled the trigger at the baby.
At the same time, Gu Ran felt his heart pounding faster, seemingly reaching a critical threshold.
“Ah! Die! Die!”
Gu Ran roared.
Suddenly, the scene seemed to freeze.
Then.
Clink, clink, clink.
The ground was suddenly littered with bullets that had been sliced in half.
Next, countless pieces of flesh appeared on the ground.
Blood flowed everywhere.
The ear-stud boy’s cruel smile was engulfed by the chunks of flesh.
The same went for the other boys.
…
Outside the screen.
It was also silent.
Then a somewhat uncertain voice spoke up.
“Was that spatial ability? Did the tyrant… also awaken spatial abilities?”
