Chapter 59: Mine! Mine! All Mine

Fighting was never just about personal strength; it also depended heavily on equipment. Warriors who reached a certain level typically possessed spiritual weapons.

For example, Yun Dongji—the wealthy young master Zhang Yang had defeated—had both a spiritual weapon knife and spiritual armor.

As for boundless artifacts, they were rare treasures that ordinary people might never see in their entire lives. Yet here, among the more than twenty Ghost King Guards, each was fully equipped with boundless artifacts.

Even the masks were boundless artifacts.

It was undeniable that these Ghost King Guards were like walking treasure troves, stirring everyone’s greed.

According to Bing Yuyan, even though the Ghostly Divine Platform had existed for countless years, assembling and equipping such a formidable group of Ghost King Guards with boundless artifacts had come at an unimaginable cost.

How could Zhang Yang not be tempted?

Even in the Howling Wolf Palace, the palace master Li Kunhai didn’t possess a single boundless artifact.

The main reason was that the Howling Wolf Palace, in its efforts to support the Cangmang Sacred Land, had exhausted nearly all its resources—offering up boundless artifacts in the process.

Now, only the Wolf King Spear remained, and even that once-sacred weapon had fallen to the level of a mere spiritual weapon.

So, he had already been eager and couldn’t hold back from making a move.

He wanted to see just how powerful the boundless artifacts truly were.

Even if they were fully restricted within the Vast Forest, boundless artifacts were still superior to spiritual weapons.

It was just like martial arts— even if a master was suppressed to the sixth level of the Returning to Origin realm, they still held inner advantages such as experience, technique, and knowledge that surpassed others.

Zhang Yang moved so fast that Feng Daoer and Shuang Jianer were thrown aside without warning.

Even Bing Yuyan reacted half a beat too slow and could only watch helplessly as Zhang Yang collided head-on with one of the Ghost King Guards.

Having been described by Bing Yuyan as invincible, Zhang Yang could not afford to hold back.

He unleashed the Eight Divine Powers.

His entire body radiated golden light, as if possessed by a Golden Dragon.

Lightning crackled wildly around him.

Baxiang Divine Fire roared and surged.

He became an unparalleled war god, delivering a wild and overwhelming punch.

The momentum was terrifying. Even Bing Yuyan, who had assessed Zhang Yang and believed he had not been using his full strength, never expected him to be this brutally ferocious.

The Ghost King Guard, limited in intelligence and driven only by its thirst for slaughter, instinctively activated the full power of its boundless artifacts. With its terrifying strength, it swung the boundless divine knife at Zhang Yang in a brutal arc.

That strike was equally domineering and fierce, splitting the air with a sharp, ear-piercing howl.

Clang!

Zhang Yang, wreathed in golden light, lightning, and flames, met the blade’s edge head-on with his fist.

There were no elaborate techniques—just a pure clash of raw strength.

In Zhang Yang’s expectation, since Bing Yuyan had described the Ghost King Guards as nearly invincible, they should have at least been able to trade a few blows.

However, the result left him thoroughly dissatisfied.

The boundless divine knife shattered upon impact, exploding into countless fragments that even injured one of the nearby Ice and Snow Divine Guards.

Without pause, Zhang Yang’s fist surged forward like an unstoppable force breaking through bamboo, slamming directly into the Ghost King Guard’s chest.

Because he had gone all out without restraint, the power behind the punch was immeasurable. Even he could not properly gauge it. After all, it was the seventh level of the Returning to Origin realm—a realm unseen in the world—combined with the terrifying amplification of his eight divine powers.

The black armor, despite being a boundless artifact, shattered instantly.

And right behind the armor was the Ghost King Guard’s body.

Boom!

The massive figure, over three meters tall, exploded from Zhang Yang’s punch.

The result shocked everyone, including Zhang Yang himself.

No one was prepared when the Ghost King Guard’s body burst into a splash of black blood that drenched Zhang Yang, Feng Daoer, and the two others nearby.

The horrifying scene even stunned the other Ghost King Guards, causing them to pause mid-battle, despite their low intelligence.

With fury on his face, Zhang Yang turned to Bing Yuyan and shouted angrily, "Are you out of your mind? Didn’t you say they were too strong to fight? I just destroyed a boundless divine knife and a boundless divine armor, and now I’m covered in this disgusting black blood! Did you set me up on purpose?"

He was genuinely furious.

That was a boundless divine knife! A boundless divine armor!

Outside the Vast Forest, they would have been worth a fortune. Now they were wasted—it was unforgivable.

And the black blood was absolutely revolting.

Zhang Yang activated Baxiang Power, and Baxiang Divine Fire erupted, instantly incinerating the black blood on himself, the ground, and even on Feng Daoer’s frost sword. Yet despite this, he still felt nauseated, as though he might vomit.

"Stupid woman! Useless! You nearly got me killed!" Zhang Yang roared in anger.

Bing Yuyan snapped out of her shock, and upon hearing Zhang Yang’s insults, nearly exploded with rage.

In her entire life, who had dared to insult her? Who had not praised her strength? Who did not know she was on the verge of achieving sainthood?

Yet here he was, cursing and humiliating her without a second thought.

But despite her fury, she found herself speechless.

The result had been so shocking that it shattered her entire perception of reality.

Was this guy even human?

Right on cue, Yuluan added with a grin, "Let me introduce him. His surname is Zhang, his first name is Yang, and his title is Monster."

Zhang Monster!

Bing Yuyan clicked her tongue; that name suited him well.

Zhang Yang looked displeased, but the Ghost King Guards once again roared and charged at him.

His irritated mood instantly brightened.

In his eyes, the Ghost King Guards were nothing more than moving treasure troves of boundless artifacts.

They were practically delivering boundless artifacts to him.

“Mine,” he muttered.

He stepped forward, using One Step of Mountains and Rivers to appear behind two Ghost King Guards. With both hands, he struck their heads from either side.

Bang! Bang!

Everything inside the two Ghost King Guards’ heads shattered, killing them instantly.

“Two sets,” Zhang Yang murmured, then advanced again.

To everyone watching, he moved like a ghost weaving through the battlefield. The Ghost King Guards before him seemed as slow as infants, utterly incapable of responding.

The only sounds that filled the air were the echoes of violent impacts.

Bang! Bang! Bang…

In just two breaths, all the Ghost King Guards had been killed with the same attack to their heads, and all the boundless masks, boundless divine armor, and boundless divine knives remained perfectly intact.

After finishing, Zhang Yang laughed and called out, “Yuan Tong, hurry up and collect these boundless sets!”

Yuan Tong grinned as he stepped forward, stripping the items from the bodies and storing them in his storage bag.

The people from the Ice and Snow Divine Palace watched in shock, still unable to comprehend what they were seeing. These were the Ghost King Guards!

Five hundred years ago, they had been forced to freeze themselves just to survive the crisis.

Now, five hundred years later, the Ghost King Guards were treated like garbage.

“Exciting, isn’t it?” Yuluan grinned.

Although she didn’t want to admit it, Bing Yuyan nodded; she had to admit it was indeed exhilarating.

Yuluan smiled and said, “It’s only going to get more exciting from here.”

Bing Yuyan’s phoenix eyes flashed with a cold light, feeling slightly annoyed at being teased.

After clearing the equipment, Yuan Tong handed the storage bag to Zhang Yang.

“Don’t just stand there. Take all the treasures. Leaving them here would be a waste,” Zhang Yang said.

Yuan Tong and Yuluan immediately sprang into action.

The Ice and Snow Divine Guards looked at Bing Yuyan, and only after she nodded did they join in.

Even though they had been defeated, even though they had been frozen for centuries, and even though only a portion of the Ice and Snow Divine Palace remained, the treasures left behind were still astonishing.

Especially the items preserved in the frozen storage bags—they remained in excellent condition.

The only ones not moving were Zhang Yang, Bing Yuyan, and Feng Daoer.

Zhang Yang focused on the bodies of the Ghost King Guards.

He knew he had already made a name for himself on the Ghostly Divine Platform, and that long-faced individual on Wolf God Mountain must surely hate him by now. It was highly likely that more Ghost King Guards would be sent after him. He needed to study their weaknesses and report them to Cang Wolf Palace.

He personally felt no fear, but that didn’t mean others would feel the same.

However, as he studied them, he noticed something strange and muttered, “How odd… these Ghost King Guards are dead, yet there’s still death energy emanating from them, and it seems to be drifting upward.”

He looked up.

His reaction startled Bing Yuyan, who narrowed her eyes and gazed coldly toward the top level.

Suddenly, the top level cracked open, and a wave of darkness spread outward, threatening to engulf the entire Ice and Snow Divine Palace.

Bing Yuyan gasped, her voice tight with alarm. “This is bad! The Ghostly Divine Platform set a destruction ghost king power on my Ice and Snow Divine Palace, and it’s triggered by the death energy of the Ghost King Guards!”
