Chapter 46: Title
Wei Yao whirled to scrutinize Zhong Yueli, sensing something amiss.
By then, Song Yutian and Qin Yuanzhuo had already entered the classroom.
"Got plans with Yutian?" Wei Yao probed.
"No."
"Then why ‘see you shortly’?"
Zhong Yueli leveled an impassive gaze. "Small talk. Aren’t we overseeing the children’s vote soon?"
"Oh…" Wei Yao studied his expression fruitlessly—his features remained unreadable.
When Zhong Yueli raised a questioning brow, Wei Yao swallowed her words, mindful of the live cameras. "Never mind."
Su Moying and Gu Feng entered the next classroom as shadows lengthened outside.
Although Su Moying usually didn’t talk much, she got along wonderfully with children.
By contrast, Gu Feng and Su Moying were polar opposites.
An invisible barrier seemed to surround Gu Feng that repelled children—most kids didn’t dare approach him, let alone play with him.
Occasionally, two brave souls would come to chat with "Brother Gu Feng," but his indifferent responses soon had them scampering off to find other playmates.
Gu Feng himself remained unbothered, content to be free from childish pestering.
Noticing Gu Feng leaning alone by the window during a rare break, Su Moying approached him.
"What’s wrong, Brother Gu Feng? Are you unwell?" she asked with concern.
Gu Feng snapped out of his reverie and smiled. "Just admiring the view."
Using a tone that blended pleading and coquetry, Su Moying suggested, "Come play with the children, Brother Gu Feng. They’re so adorable."
Gu Feng’s brow furrowed. "They don’t like me."
"Nonsense! Be more approachable and smile. You’ll win them over." She paused, then added impulsively, "If you keep this up, how will you handle your own kids someday…"
Suddenly realizing her implication, Su Moying clamped her mouth shut, cheeks flushing pink. She stole a glance at Gu Feng only to find him gazing distantly at the children building with blocks, oblivious to her embarrassment.
After a prolonged silence, Gu Feng straightened up with a smile. "As you wish, Moying. Let’s go." Though his voice held affection, Su Moying detected no genuine warmth.
Perhaps I’m imagining things, she chided herself silently.
"Then let’s go, Brother Gu Feng," she replied with forced cheer.

Facing a new group of older (yet equally boisterous) children from the senior class, Song Yutian and Qin Yuanzhuo repeated their introductions. The previous performers’ visit had emboldened the youngsters.
A boy piped up after introductions: "Big siblings! Sister Yaoyao and Brother Yueli told acting stories. Will you share yours too?"
After exchanging glances, Song Yutian deferred to Qin Yuanzhuo. The latter launched into a dry recital of film crew routines—makeup sessions, costume changes, shooting procedures. Within minutes, fidgeting children began whispering and roughhousing despite Qin Yuanzhuo’s repeated pleas of "Settle down please." Only the teacher’s intervention maintained minimal order.
His five-minute monologue concluded, Qin Yuanzhuo gestured to Song Yutian as if passing a hot potato.
Clearing her throat, Song Yutian asked brightly: "Since I haven’t acted recently, how about live streaming stories? Who knows what live streaming is?"
Multiple hands shot up. A boy theatrically demonstrated: "It’s when you talk here and outsiders hear you everywhere!"
"Exactly!" Song Yutian affirmed. "We’re live now! Anything you want to share with the world?"
The classroom erupted with excitement. Under her guidance, children queued to address the camera—some delivering practiced self-introductions, others shouting greetings to parents. Their artless charm melted viewers:
[My heart’s dissolving from cuteness!]
[Sister Song’s a natural—total crowd control!]
After the commotion subsided, Song Yutian recounted program highlights in child-friendly terms. Her simple yet vivid storytelling captivated the room. When describing the treasure hunt segment, the children bombarded her with questions.
During the dance story segment, a girl suddenly demanded: "Sister Yutian! Which dancing brother do you like more—the first or second?"
"Why ask?" Song Yutian chuckled.
"Teacher says we only dance with people we like!"
It was the program group’s coercion, Song Yutian mentally retorted. Outwardly, she maintained: "Both brothers are wonderful friends I like equally."
The girl nodded sagely: "You’re so pretty—they must both like YOU lots!"
Song Yutian burst into genuine laughter.
The morning kindergarten trip finally concluded, reaching the segment where children distributed little red flowers.
The program group arranged both teams to enter the classroom in order.
Song Yutian and Qin Yuanzhuo entered the first small class together with Gong Yu and An Xin.
The moment Gong Yu saw them walk in, his expression visibly shifted.
Why is this woman here again? Why does luck never favor me?
The teacher handed each child a small yarn-made red flower, instructing them simply to gift it to their favorite brother or sister without complex rules.
Each of the four contestants held a basket to collect flowers as the children lined up obediently.
Unburdened by notions of diplomacy or face-saving, the children gave their flowers to whoever they liked most.
Soon, Song Yutian’s basket overflowed with a mountain of red blooms.
An Xin’s basket also held several flowers.
In stark contrast, barely any children approached Qin Yuanzhuo or Gong Yu.
Ultimately, Song Yutian received nineteen flowers, An Xin six, while Qin Yuanzhuo and Gong Yu managed only one and two, respectively.
Surveying the results, Gong Yu remarked to An Xin, “Xin Xin, you’re slacking! How come you didn’t surpass Yutian? Look—I even got one more than Zhuo Ge! Haha!”
Already disheartened by her team’s crushing defeat, An Xin forced a smile. “You’re criticizing me? I still tripled your count.”
Gong Yu shook his head. “That’s different. Women naturally excel at handling kids. We men just aren’t child-friendly by nature—right, Zhuo Ge?”
Qin Yuanzhuo nodded in agreement.
Gong Yu had intended this as playful banter to lighten the mood. However, viewers—already weary of his recent antics—weren’t amused.
[LOL it’s YOU they dislike—stop blaming genders!]
[Classic Gong Yu—first teammates, now masculinity takes the blame?]
[Wei Yao’s casual fans see through him—everything’s always someone else’s fault.]
[Ugh, I can’t with Gong Yu! Where’s Sister Song? Roast him!]
As if on cue, Song Yutian’s voice cut through:
“It’s not that men are disliked by children.” Her icy gaze pinned Gong Yu. “It’s you they dislike.”
She stressed the word “you” with deliberate ambiguity—technically inoffensive yet cutting.
Gong Yu inhaled sharply. Of course, she’d be waiting to pounce.
“Just joking with Xin Xin!” He turned to An Xin with forced cheer. “See? She’s not upset!”
Having spent the morning with An Xin’s constant smiles—so unlike Wei Yao’s scowls or Song Yutian’s defiance—Gong Yu expected support.
His smile shattered when An Xin nodded. “Yutian’s right. The problem is definitely your likability.”
Salt met wound as she mirrored his earlier joking tone before adding, “Just kidding! Haha!”
Song Yutian and An Xin exchanged grins as Gong Yu seethed.
Later, Song Yutian and Qin Yuanzhuo joined Wei Yao and Zhong Yueli in another classroom for flower distribution.
This round proved unexpectedly competitive compared to the previous landslide.
Though Song Yutian initially led, Wei Yao and Zhong Yueli soon closed the gap—Wei Yao briefly overtook her.
Final counts showed Song Yutian narrowly victorious with ten flowers to Wei Yao’s nine and Zhong Yueli’s eight. Qin Yuanzhuo trailed with two.
Despite her individual win, the team calculation handed Song Yutian and Qin Yuanzhuo their first loss.
Wei Yao beamed. “Yutian! We actually beat you and Yuanzhuo!”
Her words jolted viewers into realizing this marked Sister Song’s inaugural defeat:
[First loss for Sister Song? Minor round but still historic!]
[Proof Gu Feng > Qin Yuanzhuo?]
[Mr. Gu’s superiority confirmed! Their CP edits are diabetes-inducing]
[Sweet Maple fandom member spotted! Secret handshake?]
Qin Yuanzhuo offered stiff congratulations while Song Yutian smiled at Wei Yao: “Why surprising? The kids adore you.”
Wei Yao shook her head fervently. “You don’t get it—you’re the final boss in my mind! Right, Yueli?”
Zhong Yueli nodded. “Yes. Yutian’s exceptional.”
Wei Yao blinked at his prompt response and suddenly asked, "So you really want to team up with Yutian?"
After a moment of silence from Zhong Yueli, Wei Yao reconsidered her question’s appropriateness and attempted to backtrack, "Actually—"
"Can’t be helped. Yutian didn’t invite me," Zhong Yueli interjected.
The declaration made Wei Yao and Qin Yuanzhuo simultaneously turn toward Song Yutian.
"Me?" The suddenly addressed woman raised her brows.
