Chapter 7: I Want Him to Disappear!
After a while, Pan Qiang’s mood finally calmed down a bit, and he said in a deep voice, “Fang Yu, if you had a better attitude, I might have been able to help you plead your case. But your attitude has disappointed me. Since that’s the case, you’ll have to bear all the consequences yourself!”
Fang Yu remained silent.
A few minutes later, hurried footsteps echoed outside the office of the Academic Affairs Office.
A bald, muscular man with a large tattoo on his arm strode into the office.
“Who is Fang Yu?” the bald man asked loudly.
“Are you He Donglin’s guardian?” Pan Qiang stood up, feeling a bit intimidated.
“I’m Da Biao. My brother went to the infirmary to see Donglin, and he sent me to bring that brat Fang Yu over!” the bald man replied.
Pan Qiang instinctively looked at Fang Yu.
“Is it you?” Da Biao glared at Fang Yu, his eyes filled with menace as he stepped forward.
“M-Mr. Da Biao, this is a school after all. I hope you won’t do anything illegal or against the rules here…” Pan Qiang wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and said.
“This brat beat up my brother’s precious son! If I don’t break his arms and legs, how can I face my brother?” Da Biao sneered, extending his left hand toward the back of Fang Yu’s neck.
At that moment, Fang Yu turned around and grabbed Da Biao’s outstretched left hand.
“Still want to resist?” Da Biao’s face twisted into a sinister smile as he applied some force with his left hand.
But to his surprise, his left hand couldn’t move at all.
“Hmm!?” Da Biao’s expression changed slightly as he gritted his teeth, exerting all his strength. His muscular arm tensed, veins bulging, yet he still couldn’t budge an inch.
How is this possible?
Fang Yu looked like a frail high school student; how could he possess such strength?
“If you don’t want to end up like He Donglin in the infirmary, you’d better stop,” Fang Yu said.
Having been in the underworld for over a decade, Da Biao had never been threatened like this before.
Especially not by a mere middle school student who hadn’t even fully matured!
In an instant, Da Biao’s eyes turned red with rage as he shouted, “Who do you think you are!?”
As he spoke, Da Biao swung his right fist.
Fang Yu didn’t dodge at all; he simply extended his left palm and easily blocked Da Biao’s punch.
“I’m someone who can knock you down,” Fang Yu said lightly, then kicked Da Biao in the abdomen.
“Bang!”
With a dull thud, Da Biao, a hulking figure at nearly two meters tall, flew out of the office door and crashed heavily onto the corridor floor, unable to get back up.
At that moment, Pan Qiang and Huang Hai were both stunned, their eyes wide open as they looked at Fang Yu, as if they were staring at a monster.
“You all saw it; he attacked me first. I was just defending myself. When I faced He Donglin, it was the same situation as just now,” Fang Yu turned to Pan Qiang and said.
“Th-this…” Pan Qiang opened his mouth but couldn’t find the words.
Fang Yu looked at Da Biao, who was lying outside the door, and sighed inwardly.
No matter what, after what happened today, he wouldn’t be able to stay in this school any longer.
“Ding ding ding…”
At that moment, the landline phone on Pan Qiang’s desk rang.
Pan Qiang came back to his senses and picked up the phone.
“Hello, Principal He… Yes, he’s right here with me… Ah? But what about He Donglin’s guardian… Okay, I understand.”
Two minutes later, Pan Qiang hung up the phone and looked at Fang Yu with a very complicated expression.
“Fang Yu… you can go back to the classroom now. The rest of the matter, our school will handle it for you.”
Before Fang Yu could react, Huang Hai’s expression changed, and he asked, “Director Pan, what’s going on?”
Pan Qiang ignored Huang Hai and continued to speak to Fang Yu, “Fang Yu, our previous actions were also in accordance with school rules and regulations. I hope you can understand our difficulties…”
“It’s fine, I’m leaving,” Fang Yu said, turning to leave the Academic Affairs Office.
After Fang Yu left, Huang Hai asked again, “Director Pan, what exactly is going on?”
“Principal He just called and said someone has intervened to protect Fang Yu,” Pan Qiang took a deep breath and said.
“Who is it?” Huang Hai asked.
Logically speaking, Fang Yu had no relatives, came from a poor background, and had few friends at school, so there shouldn’t be anyone to help him.
Moreover, the person Fang Yu injured was He Donglin! His father, He Wencheng, was a notorious thug in Jianghai City!
“The board of directors, the Tang family,” Pan Qiang replied.
“The Tang family… So the Tang family’s daughter really has a connection with Fang Yu!?” Huang Hai suddenly realized.
Then, he regretted his previous bad attitude toward Fang Yu. If Fang Yu held a grudge… he would be in trouble.
…
When Fang Yu returned to the classroom unscathed, the class was in an uproar.
How could this be? They heard that He Donglin’s father had come to the school; how could Fang Yu be completely fine?
“Damn it! How could he come back so quickly?” Jiang Yue looked at Fang Yu, feeling indignant.
Then she saw Tang Xiaorou smiling at Fang Yu and suddenly realized.
It must have been Tang Xiaorou who helped him!
“Those two scumbags!” Jiang Yue cursed with jealousy.
…
In the Academic Affairs Office.
He Wencheng’s face was ashen as he sat at Pan Qiang’s desk.
“My son has a comminuted fracture in his right hand! With less than five months until the college entrance examination, if he doesn’t recover well, he might not even be able to take the exam! Da Biao is also seriously injured; how can I swallow this anger!” He Wencheng shouted angrily.
“Mr. He, according to our school’s investigation, it was your son who attacked Fang Yu first…” Pan Qiang was sweating profusely as he explained.
“Bang!”
He Wencheng slammed the table: “Bullshit! Don’t think I don’t know; someone intervened to protect that bastard Fang Yu!”
Pan Qiang took out a handkerchief to wipe his sweat and said cautiously, “Mr. He, please understand our position…”
He Wencheng’s expression changed, his anger filling his chest.
As a notorious thug in Jianghai City, he had never felt so humiliated as he did today.
His son’s right hand was nearly ruined, yet the instigator was completely unscathed.
If this matter got out, how many people would laugh at him?
“Damn it, I must make that bastard pay! Otherwise, I, He Wencheng, won’t be able to survive in Jianghai City!” He Wencheng gritted his teeth and said.
Pan Qiang was too intimidated by He Wencheng’s fierce aura to speak.
“I can’t touch him at school… but once he steps outside, you won’t be able to control what happens to him, right?” He Wencheng slowly raised his head, looking at Pan Qiang with a cruel gaze.
Pan Qiang could only nod and quietly said, “What happens outside of school… can only be considered an accident.”
“He will disappear soon,” He Wencheng already had a plan in mind and smiled darkly.
…
In the classroom.
Tang Xiaorou had been secretly observing Fang Yu.
Fang Yu couldn’t take it anymore and turned to look at Tang Xiaorou, saying, “Did you think I would thank you?”
Tang Xiaorou was taken aback; she originally thought Fang Yu was unaware!
“You should definitely thank me! Otherwise, for hitting someone, you would be expelled!” Tang Xiaorou said, her beautiful eyes wide open.
“Then why do you think I hit someone?” Fang Yu stared at Tang Xiaorou and asked.
Tang Xiaorou felt a bit shy under Fang Yu’s gaze; she had never been this close to a boy before.
“I-I don’t know!” Tang Xiaorou averted her gaze and said.
“If you hadn’t transferred to my class and insisted on sitting next to me, I wouldn’t have attracted anyone’s attention, wouldn’t have been envied by He Donglin, wouldn’t have been provoked, and wouldn’t have been forced to hit him,” Fang Yu spoke rapidly.
Tang Xiaorou was left stunned by Fang Yu’s words.
“And the loss you’ve caused me is permanent. Now that I’m famous in this class, even if I’m not expelled, I will still face a lot of trouble in the future. So, I request that you not sit next to me and leave this class. I’ve said it before; I really dislike trouble,” Fang Yu continued.
From childhood, as the daughter of the Tang family, Tang Xiaorou had always been the center of attention; she had never been looked down upon like this.
Tang Xiaorou felt very wronged.
She clearly helped Fang Yu, yet he treated her with such disdain.
“If it weren’t for treating my grandfather’s illness, who would want to sit next to a jerk like you!?” Tang Xiaorou cursed in her heart.
Taking a deep breath to calm herself, Tang Xiaorou finally spoke, “If you want me to leave this class, that’s fine, as long as you agree to treat my grandfather’s illness. I’ll leave immediately! Plus, I will give you a lot of rewards.”
Fang Yu frowned slightly, looking at Tang Xiaorou’s pretty face, and began to consider seriously.
To avoid more trouble in the future, Fang Yu replied:
“Deal.”
