Chapter 501 Not a Match!

Red Lotus didn’t stop there, flapping her wings to fly higher into the sky.

She stopped about ten meters above Fang Yu, placing her palms together, pointing directly at him.

“Whoosh!”

In an instant, a massive fire dragon shot forth from her palms, roaring toward Fang Yu who was already engulfed in flames!

“Boom…”

The fire burst forth, illuminating the dark night sky.

The guests who had rushed to the floor-to-ceiling windows after hearing the earlier explosion witnessed a scene they would never forget.

“My, my God, what is that…”

“It looks like a bird completely engulfed in flames?”

“No, not a bird, that’s a person! Must be a martial artist…”

The crowd of guests stared at Red Lotus’s figure in the distant sky, their eyes wide with shock.

Many of them had experience with the martial arts world and had seen masters above the Grandmaster realm in combat.

But the scene before them was something they had only seen in movies or dreams.

The crimson flames filling the sky, a girl with enormous wings.

It was all too overwhelming.

The massive fire dragon struck Fang Yu, then crashed into the grass below.

The green plants on the ground instantly burned to ashes.

Red Lotus, hovering in midair, looked down below, her face expressionless except for her flame-like red pupils.

With her at the center, the temperature within a hundred meters rose dramatically.

On the ground, now burned to ashes, red flames still enveloped Fang Yu.

In such high-temperature flames, not just human flesh and blood, but even hard rock or steel would melt.

“Boom!”

With an explosive sound, the swirling flames scattered.

Fang Yu’s figure appeared on the ground.

Even though he had released his true energy to block the flames’ invasion, the temperature was so high that some edges of his clothes were still scorched.

Fang Yu looked down at his clothes, then raised his head to look at Red Lotus in the sky, his eyes narrowing.

Red Lotus didn’t emit the aura of a cultivator.

She wasn’t a cultivator, which meant that all her offensive techniques, these raging flames, weren’t created through spells.

This was her innate ability! She could control fire!

Was she really a phoenix?

Surprise flashed in Fang Yu’s eyes.

“Whoosh!”

While Fang Yu was thinking, Red Lotus suddenly dove down from above, aiming directly at him.

“Regardless, I need to subdue her first.”

Facing Red Lotus who was diving down with a scorching fire dragon, Fang Yu didn’t dodge but instead charged toward her!

He was going to meet her head-on!

“Boom!”

The scorching heat rushed toward him, and Fang Yu’s clothes began to emit white vapor.

“The fire she’s using has a temperature close to the earth’s core fire,” Fang Yu thought. “I need to end this quickly, or my clothes won’t hold up.”

The distance between Fang Yu and Red Lotus grew shorter.

Red Lotus, expressionless, flapped her wings forward, closing them to wrap around her body, turning herself into a fireball.

“If you’re going to curl up into a ball, don’t blame me,” Fang Yu’s face revealed a hint of playfulness.

Just as he was about to touch Red Lotus, Fang Yu’s form flickered.

Red Lotus, moving extremely fast, brushed past Fang Yu’s left shoulder.

This put Fang Yu behind Red Lotus.

Fang Yu raised his right foot, erupting with true energy that gave off a golden light, and kicked hard at Red Lotus’s back.

“Bang!”

Red Lotus’s entire body plummeted like a meteor, crashing into the ground and raising a large cloud of dust.

A large area in front of the hotel was blasted into a concave crater.

In the midst of the smoke, Red Lotus, lying at the center of the crater, retracted her wings and struggled to stand up.

As she rose, one could hear the ‘crack-crack’ sound of broken bones from her body, terrifying to hear.

Blood dripped from the corners of her mouth, her arms, and her shoulders.

For any living being, these would be considered severe injuries.

But Red Lotus’s expression remained blank, showing no trace of pain.

“Thud!”

Fang Yu descended from above, standing less than five meters in front of Red Lotus.

Upon seeing Fang Yu, Red Lotus’s pupils once again flashed red, and she charged at him.

“Why bother?”

Fang Yu sighed, sidestepping Red Lotus’s punch, then swept his foot downward.

“Bang!”

Red Lotus seemed to have an injury on her left foot and couldn’t dodge in time, falling flat on the ground.

“You possess a top-tier physical body and excellent fire control abilities. Unfortunately, your combat technique is too weak, even worse than those so-called Martial Sovereigns,” Fang Yu said, shaking his head as he looked at Red Lotus lying at his feet.

Fang Yu’s words weren’t meant to deliberately provoke Red Lotus, but were the truth.

From Fang Yu’s perspective, Red Lotus’s skills matched her apparent age—about that of a fifteen or sixteen-year-old girl.

Each attack was straightforward and quite reckless.

“Crack, crack, crack…”

Red Lotus placed both hands on the ground, and another series of bone-cracking sounds could be heard as she tried to get up again.

“Take a rest, you’re no match for me,” Fang Yu said, crouching down.

Red Lotus raised her head to look at Fang Yu, the red light in her eyes not diminishing in the slightest.

Her gaze seemed full of killing intent, but her face remained expressionless.

This made her appear quite strange.

As Red Lotus struggled to rise, the sound of bones continued unabated.

“The broken bones are reconstructing themselves.”

Fang Yu observed Red Lotus’s arm, surprise flashing in his eyes.

Such powerful recovery ability was impossible for a human body.

Of course, Fang Yu excluded himself from humanity.

Because he hadn’t been injured for a long time, he didn’t know the extent of his own recovery abilities.

“She seems to have no sense of pain,” Fang Yu concluded, looking at Red Lotus’s expressionless face.

Soon, Red Lotus had raised her upper body.

Her feet weren’t yet standing, but her right palm struck toward Fang Yu.

“Slap!”

Fang Yu grabbed Red Lotus’s right hand, preventing her from releasing flames.

“This definitely isn’t her normal state. Gary must have done something to her,” Fang Yu thought, narrowing his eyes as he looked at Red Lotus.

He extended his finger and placed it on Red Lotus’s forehead.

The moment his fingertip touched her forehead, the small golden dragon inside his body actually flew out of his dantian!

It traveled along the meridians, exited through Fang Yu’s fingertip, and entered Red Lotus’s body!

Red Lotus’s entire body emitted a dazzling golden light!

At the same time, she began to float.

“Crack, crack, crack…”

From within her body, the sound of bones reconstructing continued, faster than before.

During this process, Red Lotus closed her eyes, and the killing intent around her diminished significantly.

Fang Yu was stunned, looking at Red Lotus covered in golden light, his eyes full of surprise.

The Dragon Origin was helping Red Lotus repair her body?

Whose side was it on?

Just as Fang Yu was feeling displeased, the sound of bones from Red Lotus’s body stopped.

The golden light covering her body gradually dimmed.

The Dragon Origin, glowing with golden light, flew out from Red Lotus’s head, circled around Fang Yu once, then re-entered Fang Yu’s body, returning to coil in his dantian.

“What exactly is going on?”

Fang Yu was completely confused, looking at Red Lotus who had fallen back to the ground, still unconscious.

After standing and pondering for a few seconds, Fang Yu crouched down again.

Gary must have tampered with Red Lotus’s body, otherwise she wouldn’t be like this, nor would she obey him.

Fang Yu scanned Red Lotus’s body with his divine consciousness and discovered that at the back of her head was embedded a thumb-sized chip.

The red dot glowing on the chip indicated it was still functioning normally.

“This chip is controlling her mind.”

Fang Yu’s gaze became sharp as he extended his finger to the back of Red Lotus’s head.

A faint golden light appeared at his fingertip.

An extremely fine thread of true energy entered inside.

Fang Yu had to be extremely careful to destroy the chip without harming Red Lotus.

“Crack!”

After nearly two minutes, Fang Yu used that thread of true energy to cut all the circuits connected to the chip.

“Done, time to go.”

Fang Yu noticed many people walking toward his position.

To avoid trouble, Fang Yu picked up the unconscious Red Lotus and quickly left the area.

…

In Europa, on the outskirts of a remote village, stood a dilapidated stone hut.

No one knew that beneath this stone hut was the headquarters of the gene laboratory that the entire Europa was hunting down.
