Chapter 42: Mutual Destruction!

Robbery of Life?

Fang Yu’s eyes flickered slightly.

“Blame your bad luck for encountering me,” the old man said with a fierce gaze, raising his right hand as he spoke.

Several small daggers surrounded by black mist flew out from his sleeves, aimed directly at Fang Yu.

Fang Yu’s expression remained calm as he waved his right hand.

“Smack!”

All the small daggers were swatted away by Fang Yu.

Seeing this, the old man’s expression changed slightly.

Fang Yu’s strength was beyond his expectations.

The young martial artists he had encountered before could hardly evade his attack.

“An evil cultivator?” Fang Yu narrowed his eyes at the black mist swirling around the daggers.

The old man regained his composure and drew an incredibly sharp silver spike from his waist, charging toward Fang Yu.

His speed was astonishing, completely unlike that of a man in his seventies or eighties.

In just two seconds, he reached Fang Yu, raising the silver spike wrapped in black mist and stabbing toward Fang Yu’s left chest.

Fang Yu stood still, extending his hand to directly grasp the silver spike.

The old man smirked sinisterly.

The toxic gas surrounding his silver spike was highly corrosive.

If Fang Yu held the spike like that, his hand would immediately turn to bone!

But the next second, the old man’s expression changed.

“Crack!”

Fang Yu’s hand not only remained uncorroded but also snapped the silver spike in half!

The old man’s face changed drastically as he attempted to retreat.

Fang Yu struck him in the chest with a palm.

“Bang!”

The old man felt a sharp pain in his chest, spitting out a mouthful of blood, and was sent flying several meters away, rolling on the ground multiple times before coming to a stop.

How… is this possible!?

Lying on the ground, the old man struggled to lift his head, staring in horror at Fang Yu, who was slowly approaching him.

This kid is clearly only at the fifth stage of innate talent! How can he be this strong?

The old man wanted to get up, but his body could no longer support him.

Could it be… that I will fall here today?

He was unwilling!

He had absorbed so much vitality from young martial artists just to survive until today!

Although he looked very old, his body was no different from that of a young person!

As long as he continued to absorb others’ vitality, he could live forever!

“Kid, if you come any closer, we’ll die together!” the old man shouted angrily, pulling out a palm-sized gourd from his clothes.

Fang Yu raised an eyebrow and continued to walk forward.

“You… then let’s die together!” The old man gritted his teeth and removed the gourd’s cap.

“Buzz…”

A swarm of dark, buzzing insects flew out from the gourd.

Seeing these insects emerge, the old man’s face turned pale, filled with fear.

These were the corpse bees he had cultivated, about the size of flies, each with a venomous stinger that was extremely toxic; anyone who came into contact with them would die instantly.

These corpse bees were bred from corpses, filled with malevolent energy, highly aggressive, and uncontrollable. They would attack anything that wasn’t of the same kind.

Thus, even the old man himself dared not release the corpse bees, as his own malevolent energy was not strong enough, and they would see him as a target.

But now, facing a dire situation, he had no choice.

He could only gamble on luck.

Although his malevolent energy was not at the level of the corpse bees, he had killed many people, so it was at least much heavier than that of Fang Yu.

Between the two of them, the corpse bees would surely prioritize attacking the one with less malevolent energy.

Sure enough, after flying out of the gourd, the swarm of corpse bees immediately headed toward Fang Yu.

A cruel smile appeared on the old man’s face as he envisioned Fang Yu’s tragic demise.

“Corpse bees?”

Fang Yu did not expect that there were still people cultivating such things.

Many years ago, an evil sect had developed corpse bees to deal with righteous sects, causing extremely severe consequences, resulting in countless deaths and injuries.

Not only disciples of righteous sects but also ordinary civilians, and even members of the evil sect, had suffered many casualties.

Later, the righteous sects united to annihilate that evil sect and ordered the extermination of corpse bees.

After nearly three years of comprehensive extermination, they finally eradicated the corpse bees completely.

Fang Yu thought the method of cultivating corpse bees had long been lost, but he never expected to encounter it today.

“Hahaha, kid, you have no malevolent energy at all; let’s see how you die!” the old man laughed arrogantly.

Fang Yu revealed a slight smile.

“How do you know? I have no malevolent energy at all?”

As he spoke, a tremendous aura erupted from Fang Yu.

Waves of faint black malevolent energy coiled around his body.

The corpse bees, which had been flying toward Fang Yu, suddenly halted in mid-air and turned to fly toward the old man after Fang Yu’s malevolent energy erupted.

“Wha-what’s happening! Who are you!? Who are you!?” the old man shouted in a pale voice.

Fang Yu was so young, yet his malevolent energy was even stronger than that of the swarm of corpse bees!

How many people must he have killed to gather so much malevolent energy?

“Ah…”

The swarm of corpse bees charged toward the old man’s face, attacking without hesitation.

The old man’s body disintegrated at a visible speed, turning into a puddle of crimson liquid on the ground.

“Indeed, quite toxic.”

Fang Yu’s eyes narrowed as he withdrew his malevolent energy.

Since the corpse bees had been released, they had to be completely exterminated.

If they were allowed to leave, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Fang Yu did not want to implicate the innocent again.

The moment Fang Yu’s malevolent energy disappeared, the swarm of corpse bees turned around and quickly charged at him.

Fang Yu stood still, allowing the corpse bees to approach him.

The swarm of corpse bees raised their venomous stingers, aiming for Fang Yu’s face and neck.

“Boom!”

At that moment, a faint red true energy erupted from Fang Yu!

“Buzz…”

As the swarm of corpse bees touched this true energy, they emitted a series of cries.

One of the corpse bees ignited in flames, instantly igniting the entire swarm!

A burnt smell filled the air as the corpse bees turned to ashes, falling to the ground.

In just a few seconds, the swarm of corpse bees was completely exterminated.

After dealing with the swarm, Fang Yu glanced at the puddle of crimson liquid not far away.

Self-inflicted, cannot live.

Such evil cultivators are like rats in the street, despised by everyone in any era.

After a moment’s thought, Fang Yu walked toward the dark cave ahead.

The cave was very deep, and the light inside was dim, but with Fang Yu’s vision, he could see clearly.

After walking a little further, Fang Yu caught a whiff of a foul odor.

The stench of rotting corpses and the metallic scent of blood!

Fang Yu frowned slightly and continued walking for a distance.

Then, he saw a pile of white bones.

Not far from these bones, there were several desiccated corpses.

“This old man has killed quite a few people…”

Fang Yu stepped closer, looking down at the desiccated corpses.

The limbs of these corpses were extremely twisted, appearing very eerie.

Fang Yu squinted to observe and realized that these people had been drained of their vitality while still alive, turning them into desiccated corpses.

As for how the evil cultivator old man accomplished this, Fang Yu was still unclear.

The cave was not yet at its end, so Fang Yu continued deeper.

Sure enough, after turning a corner, he saw several normal corpses.

These corpses had not turned into desiccated bodies, but some had already begun to rot.

The corpses were unclothed and all female.

Clearly, these women had been killed after being drained of their life force by the evil cultivator old man.

The desiccated corpses outside were mostly male; the evil cultivator had used some kind of dark magic to extract their vitality, turning them into desiccated corpses.

Fang Yu knew several dark arts capable of turning people into desiccated corpses, but it was difficult to guess which one the evil cultivator old man used.

Fang Yu looked around and noticed a tattered book on a stone next to the corpses.

He walked over, picked up the book, and flipped through a few pages, his eyes flashing with surprise.

The dark art used by the evil cultivator old man was taught in this book.

The Art of Vitality Absorption, which absorbs the vital energy of others to transform it into one’s own, thereby maintaining peak bodily functions and extending lifespan.

The reason the old man could maintain such speed at his age was due to the Art of Vitality Absorption.

The book contained detailed instructions on the Art of Vitality Absorption, even explaining the obscure principles clearly.

Fang Yu studied it earnestly, his eyes shining.

If this dark art were thoroughly researched and some key steps modified, it might transform into a powerful qi refining technique.

Thus, Fang Yu placed the book into his pocket and turned to leave the cave.

After exiting the cave, Fang Yu drove the diesel tricycle, following the map on his phone toward the primitive forest.
