Chapter 4 Is He an Earthling?
“Trouble has come so quickly?”
Fang Yu frowned slightly and asked, “What’s the matter?”
“Hehe, let’s talk outside. It’s not good to discuss it here,” He Donglin said with a slightly threatening smile on his face.
Fang Yu didn’t say much more and nodded.
Then, Fang Yu followed He Donglin and a few others to the corner of the stairs.
Four boys stood beside He Donglin, all of whom were his usual lackeys.
The five surrounded Fang Yu.
He Donglin stood in front of Fang Yu and asked in a condescending tone, “Fang Yu, do you really know Tang Xiaorou?”
“I’ve seen her once before, but I wouldn’t say I know her,” Fang Yu replied honestly.
“Don’t know her? Then why did Tang Xiaorou transfer to our class and request to sit with you?” He Donglin questioned again.
He Donglin’s tone was quite unfriendly, but Fang Yu didn’t care.
“Because she needs something from me,” Fang Yu answered again.
“Tang Xiaorou needs something from you? Hahaha, are you joking? Tang Xiaorou is the daughter of a wealthy family; how could she need anything from a loser like you who just eats and waits to die?” He Donglin mocked with a laugh.
His four lackeys also laughed along.
Fang Yu chuckled but didn’t say anything.
After laughing for a while, He Donglin asked again, “Fang Yu, tell me honestly, does Tang Xiaorou have any dirt on you?”
“No,” Fang Yu shook his head.
“Really not?” He Donglin stared intently at Fang Yu’s face and asked.
Fang Yu was too lazy to respond further.
“Hehe, I know you won’t answer. But no matter what, you need to find a way to change your seat. Tomorrow when I come to class, I don’t want to see Tang Xiaorou sitting with you, understand?” He Donglin said in a commanding tone.
“I’ll do my best,” Fang Yu yawned, “Can I go now? I’m hungry.”
“You can go, but I hope you remember what I said, or don’t blame me for disregarding our two years of classmate friendship,” He Donglin said coldly.
Because his family was wealthy and he had a few lackeys around him, He Donglin had always been extremely arrogant in Class Two, and no one dared to provoke him.
Fang Yu, who had little presence, was seen by He Donglin as a completely non-threatening waste.
Seeing Fang Yu leave slowly, Hu Tao beside him asked, “Donglin, are we just letting him go like this? I think he must have some dirt on Tang Xiaorou. If we could find out, you could make Tang Xiaorou…”
“Don’t rush. There are too many people at school right now, and it’s not a good time to act. Don’t worry, if this waste doesn’t listen, there will be plenty of opportunities to teach him a lesson,” He Donglin replied coldly.
Liu Fatty was waiting for Fang Yu at the classroom door. When he saw Fang Yu return unharmed, he breathed a sigh of relief.
“Fang Yu, next time He Donglin calls you out alone, you must not go out, no matter what. This guy is not easy to deal with,” Liu Fatty said.
“Oh,” Fang Yu nodded.
“You might not know, but He Donglin’s family runs a construction company. His dad has quite a bit of power in Jianghai City; he’s not someone we common folks can mess with!” Liu Fatty said anxiously when he saw Fang Yu seemed unconcerned.
Fang Yu didn’t respond.
During the afternoon break, Fang Yu went to the office and made a request to his homeroom teacher, Huang Hai, to change seats.
Huang Hai exploded in anger, scolding, “Fang Yu, do you think this school is your family’s? You can just change seats whenever you want? Besides, with your looks, how could you sit with Tang Xiaorou… you’re just taking advantage and acting coy?”
Clearly, in Huang Hai’s eyes, Tang Xiaorou’s words carried much more weight than Fang Yu’s, and there was no way Fang Yu could successfully request a seat change.
Since that was the case, he wouldn’t change.
Fang Yu returned to the classroom and sat back in his seat.
The entire afternoon, He Donglin and Hu Tao in the front row turned back several times, giving Fang Yu threatening looks.
When the school bell rang, Tang Xiaorou packed her bag and smiled at Fang Yu, saying, “Fang Yu, see you tomorrow. In the days to come, I will definitely help you review well.”
Fang Yu pretended not to hear, but everyone around heard it.
Before leaving the classroom, He Donglin walked up to Fang Yu and coldly said, “Fang Yu, don’t forget what I said this morning, or else…”
Fang Yu couldn’t be bothered to pay attention to him and turned to leave before he finished speaking.
Watching Fang Yu’s departing figure, He Donglin’s eyes flashed with a hint of ruthlessness.
A waste dares to look down on me, He Donglin?
“Donglin, should we go out now and teach him a lesson?” Hu Tao asked beside him.
He Donglin waved his hand and said coldly, “No need. Since our classmate Fang Yu doesn’t want to change seats, let’s help him out!”
…
Near Fang Yu’s home in the urban village, there are a few small hills.
At the foot of one of the hills, Fang Yu has a vegetable garden where he grows various greens. Every couple of days, he comes here to water the vegetables and pick some to take home for cooking.
Today was no different; Fang Yu arrived at the garden and took two buckets to a nearby stream to fill with water.
Just as he placed the buckets in the stream, Fang Yu noticed that the usually clear water was floating with a layer of dark red liquid. At the same time, he caught a whiff of a bloody smell in the air.
The liquid floating on the stream was blood!
Damn! The stream was just fine, and now it’s been contaminated with blood!
Fang Yu frowned, stood up, and walked upstream along the stream.
After walking over a small slope, Fang Yu saw a woman in a slightly tattered black OL uniform about thirty meters ahead, staggering by the stream while clutching her left arm.
The blood was flowing from her left arm, dripping into the stream.
Seeing Fang Yu, the woman’s eyes lit up with hope as she shouted with all her strength, “Help, help me!”
“Ji Rubi, Miss Yang wants you dead; no one can save you today!” A deep male voice came from behind the woman.
Two men in black suits and sunglasses chased the woman, stopping about twenty meters behind her, each holding a silenced pistol.
Fang Yu didn’t plan to get involved and was about to turn and leave.
But the two men noticed Fang Yu as well.
“Who are you!?” One of the men raised his gun, aiming it at Fang Yu.
What kind of day is it? Why am I running into such bad luck?
Fang Yu helplessly said, “I’m just a passerby. Don’t worry; I didn’t see anything, and I didn’t hear anything.”
Upon hearing Fang Yu’s words, the injured woman felt darkness before her eyes, overwhelmed by despair.
The two men exchanged glances, their eyes filled with fierce intent.
What they had just said absolutely could not be leaked.
In this remote area, killing one or two was the same.
“Kid, if you want to blame someone, blame your bad luck,” said the man holding the gun as he pulled the trigger.
“Bang!”
A bullet shot toward Fang Yu’s chest.
In the blink of an eye, Fang Yu vanished from his spot.
The bullet actually missed.
“Sigh, why do you have to provoke me? I just wanted to get some water to water my vegetable garden,” Fang Yu’s sigh echoed in the air.
Before the two men could react, Fang Yu appeared less than a meter in front of them.
Fang Yu extended his right hand and slapped the man in front of him across the face.
Crack!
The man’s head twisted a full one hundred eighty degrees, facing backward, his features distorted, blood pouring from his mouth, already dead.
Seeing this, the other man was terrified, his courage shattered, and he screamed as he tried to run.
But Fang Yu didn’t give him that chance, delivering a punch to his left chest.
Bang!
Another chilling sound of bones shattering echoed, and the man who tried to escape fell to the ground, his eyes bulging with fear.
The two men who were alive just five seconds ago had turned into two corpses in an instant.
Fang Yu’s expression remained calm, without a hint of emotion.
He hadn’t intended to act, nor did he guarantee that anything would be said, but since these two wanted to silence him, there was no other choice.
You don’t move against me, I won’t move against you.
If you move against me, I will kill you.
After dealing with the two men, Fang Yu turned to look at the injured woman.
At this moment, the woman was also staring wide-eyed at Fang Yu, stunned.
The two killers were just taken care of like that?
Who is this man? Is he even human?
The woman had lost a lot of blood and was already very weak. Now, with her mind shaken again, her brain couldn’t get enough blood, and she fainted.
