Chapter 21 Is it you!?

The door had already been damaged once and was not very sturdy.

When they crashed into it, they easily knocked it open.

“Wow, the food looks great! Is it to welcome us?” Guangbin walked into the room and his eyes lit up at the sight of several large plates of dishes on the table.

“Brother Bin, the door to this room is locked. The person should be hiding inside,” one of the younger brothers said as he approached the door to the room.

“Yuchengye, go over there and make her open the door. Otherwise, we’ll break in,” Guangbin pushed Yuchengye forward with force.

Yuchengye walked to the door and shouted, “Wang Yan, I know you’re inside. Stop hiding. Brother Bin has brought people over. They just want money and won’t do anything to you. Just bring out the money.”

After saying that, Yuchengye knocked hard on the door.

There was no response from inside.

“If you don’t open the door, Brother Bin and the others will break in soon, and then…” Yuchengye continued.

“Yuchengye, why are you here? I have nothing to do with you and Yueyue anymore. Why do you still come back!? The gambling debts you owe have nothing to do with us! I have no money, I have no money…” Wang Yan’s voice came from inside, breaking down in tears.

“I have no choice. I’m at my wit’s end. Help me one last time, help me pay back the money, and I promise I won’t come looking for you again,” Yuchengye said.

“Get lost! I have no money, and I won’t believe your nonsense! Get out of here with them…” Wang Yan screamed hysterically.

Guangbin frowned and gave a look to his younger brothers.

Four younger brothers immediately stepped forward, pulling Yuchengye away and then kicking the door.

Inside the room, Wang Yan was holding onto Yu Yueyue, crying and screaming.

But there were no residents in the nearby old buildings, so no one could hear her cries.

“Bang!”

Finally, the door was kicked open.

Guangbin and his younger brothers entered the room and saw Wang Yan and her daughter huddled in the corner.

“Wow, I didn’t expect you, old dog Yu, to have such a beautiful wife and daughter,” Guangbin licked his lips and said.

Yuchengye stepped forward and said, “Wang Yan, help me just this once. Bring out the money and save my life. You wouldn’t want Yueyue to lose her father at such a young age, would you?”

“Get lost! Yueyue never considered you her father. You scum, what right do you have to be Yueyue’s father?” Wang Yan shouted sharply.

“Search for me! Take everything of value!” Guangbin ordered.

Then, the four younger brothers began searching the small room.

Guangbin looked at the trembling mother and daughter and stepped forward, saying, “Sister-in-law, don’t blame us for being rough. Who told your husband to owe money and not pay it back?”

Wang Yan tightly held onto Yu Yueyue, who was pale and too scared to speak.

“Brother Bin, this drawer is locked. The money might be inside,” one younger brother said.

“Break the lock!” Guangbin commanded.

The drawer was not sturdy at all, and it didn’t need to be pried open. The younger brother pulled a few times, and the lock broke.

“Clatter!”

The drawer opened, revealing the one hundred thousand yuan inside.

It was the one hundred thousand yuan that Fang Yu had lent Wang Yan yesterday.

Seeing this, Wang Yan completely broke down.

“No! That money is for saving lives…” Wang Yan trembled and shouted.

“Wang Yan, I didn’t expect you to save so much money… You’re too heartless. I’ve looked for you so many times, and you wouldn’t even give me a penny,” Yuchengye’s expression changed upon seeing the stack of cash.

“That money isn’t mine; I borrowed it from someone else. You can’t take it…” Wang Yan shouted weakly.

“Borrowed? Who would lend you money? And why would they lend you so much?” Yuchengye sneered, then seemed to think of something, his eyes widening as he stared at Wang Yan, loudly saying, “Oh, you must have hooked a rich guy! Right? Have you found a man?”

Wang Yan shook her head while crying.

Meanwhile, Guangbin had finished counting the money.

“There’s a total of one hundred thousand here, but it’s still not enough. Yuchengye, you owe us a total of one hundred sixty thousand.”

Yuchengye panicked and said, “Brother Bin, Wang Yan might have other money hidden. Can you search again?”

“Slap!”

Guangbin slapped Yuchengye across the face, angrily saying, “The room is this small; we’ve searched everywhere. Where else could she hide money?”

“Then, then…” Yuchengye’s face turned pale, and his legs trembled.

Guangbin looked at Wang Yan in the corner with a lewd gaze.

“How about this? You send your wife to my place, and if I’m satisfied, then the sixty thousand will count as paid off. What do you think?” Guangbin said, eyeing Wang Yan’s looks and figure, swallowing hard.

Yuchengye’s face lit up, and he quickly nodded, “No problem, Brother Bin, that’s the best!”

Hearing their conversation, Wang Yan turned pale as a sheet and nearly fainted.

“I’m afraid your wife won’t agree,” Guangbin stroked his chin and said.

“Who cares if she doesn’t want to? This bitch deceived me, found a man outside, and wouldn’t even save me with the hundred thousand she has. I naturally have no reason to hold onto old feelings!” Yuchengye’s eyes were filled with malice as he said.

“Alright, you’re responsible for taking her away,” Guangbin said.

Yuchengye immediately walked over, grabbing Wang Yan’s arm and pulling her outside.

Due to her psychological breakdown, Wang Yan had no strength left and was easily pulled along.

“Mom…” Yu Yueyue clung to Wang Yan, crying out to stop her from being taken away.

“You little brat! Let go!” Yuchengye cursed.

Yu Yueyue ignored him and held onto Wang Yan tightly.

“Slap!”

Yuchengye raised his hand and slapped Yu Yueyue across the face with considerable force.

Then, he dragged Wang Yan outside.

Wang Yan looked back at her crying daughter, her heart shattered.

“Damn it, stop crying, it’s annoying. You two go help and quickly take her away,” Guangbin frowned and said.

Two younger brothers immediately walked over, each grabbing a leg and lifting Wang Yan out.

As Guangbin walked toward the yard, he thought about the pleasures awaiting him in bed tonight.

But just as he reached the yard entrance, he bumped into a young man.

“What are you… doing?”

Fang Yu looked at the group in front of him and at Wang Yan, who was struggling and had tear-streaked cheeks, his eyes cold.

“Who the hell are you? Get out of the way, or I’ll kick you to death!” Guangbin glared fiercely.

Without saying a word, Fang Yu reached out and grabbed Guangbin by the neck, lifting him off the ground.

Guangbin’s face turned red, his throat constricted, unable to speak, and he struggled to pry Fang Yu’s hand off.

But Fang Yu’s grip was like a vice, impossible to escape.

Guangbin’s face changed from red to purple, and he was nearly suffocating to death.

“Brother Bin!” The four younger brothers reacted and rushed forward.

Fang Yu remained expressionless and threw Guangbin forward.

“Bang!”

The two younger brothers running in front were knocked down by Guangbin’s body.

“You’re looking for death!”

The other two younger brothers pulled out knives from their waists and rushed toward Fang Yu, raising their knives to stab him in the abdomen.

Fang Yu didn’t even blink, kicking twice at a speed invisible to the naked eye.

“Crack!”

The chilling sound of bones breaking echoed.

The two younger brothers holding knives couldn’t stab Fang Yu; they screamed and fell to the ground, clutching their knees in agony, their bodies convulsing from the pain.

In just a few seconds, Fang Yu had taken down all of Guangbin’s group.

Yuchengye had long since let go of Wang Yan’s arm.

At this moment, he just stared at Fang Yu, trembling all over.

“W-who exactly are you?” Guangbin clutched his neck, gasping for air, and asked in a hoarse voice.

Fang Yu didn’t speak, walked toward Guangbin, squatted down, and reached out his hand.

“Ah!”

Guangbin thought Fang Yu was going to strike again, and he trembled in fear, screaming.

But Fang Yu didn’t attack; he simply took the stack of money from Guangbin’s pocket.

“This money is what I lent to Wang Yan,” Fang Yu said flatly.

Fang Yu walked over to Wang Yan and placed the money back into her stunned hands.

Then, he turned to Yuchengye.

“You are Yuchengye, right? Yueyue’s biological father?” Fang Yu asked.

Yuchengye forced a smile and said, “Yes, I am Yueyue’s f-father…”

“Slap!”

Fang Yu slapped Yuchengye across the face, knocking several of his teeth out.

Yuchengye fell to the ground, bloodied and trembling.

“B-brother, please let me go for Wang Yan and Yueyue’s sake…”

Before he could finish, Fang Yu kicked him away.

“After today, I don’t want to see you again. Otherwise… I will make you disappear forever,” Fang Yu said coldly.

Then, Fang Yu turned to Guangbin.

Upon meeting Fang Yu’s gaze, Guangbin trembled all over.

“You too. Yuchengye owes money; you collect it from him. If you come to harass Wang Yan and her daughter again, I won’t hesitate to kill you all,” Fang Yu said.

“We understand, we won’t dare again…” Guangbin immediately bowed his head to Fang Yu.

After witnessing Fang Yu’s skills, he had no doubt about Fang Yu’s words.

Just now, he had been mere moments away from being choked to death.

“Hurry up and get out, take these people with you, including Yuchengye,” Fang Yu said.

Guangbin and the other two younger brothers immediately dragged their two companions with shattered knees and the unconscious Yuchengye away, fleeing as if their lives depended on it.

Fang Yu had wanted to kill them all, but he feared it would scare Wang Yan and Yu Yueyue into shock.

After Guangbin and his group left, Fang Yu looked at Wang Yan, who was kneeling on the ground, dazed, and said, “Aunt Wang, it’s alright now.”

Wang Yan had experienced a rollercoaster of emotions that night, and all her strength had been drained.

At this moment, she could only softly say, “Thank you, Xiaoyu.”

Fang Yu walked into the room, and Yu Yueyue quickly threw herself into his arms, crying.

“It’s okay, no one will bother you anymore,” Fang Yu patted her back and said.

After comforting the mother and daughter and returning upstairs, it was already eleven at night.

A night had passed.

The next morning, Fang Yu arrived at school. As he walked up the stairs to the third floor, a fragrant breeze hit him, and he bumped into something soft.

“Bang!”

Fang Yu naturally wouldn’t be knocked down.

The person in front of him cried out in pain and fell to the ground in an ungraceful manner.

Fang Yu looked and saw that it was Ding Ran, the one who had seen him get hit by a truck that day.

“It’s you!?” Ding Ran, wearing a teacher’s uniform, pointed at Fang Yu, her beautiful eyes wide open.

Fang Yu was stunned.

How could Ding Ran recognize him? Last time, he had clearly used hypnosis on her!
