Chapter 10: Don’t Mess with Me
After Fang Yu left, Tang Mingde looked at Tang Xiaorou with a strange expression.
His daughter was very beautiful and had many suitors. But when it came to Fang Yu, why did she seem to avoid him at all costs?
“Sigh, it must be that you, Xiaorou, are too willful and spoiled, which annoys Dr. Fang…” Tang Mingde sighed and said.
“I’m not! It’s just that Fang Yu doesn’t like to cause trouble, so he…” Tang Xiaorou retorted angrily.
Looking outside, Tang Mingde lamented, “I haven’t seen such an outstanding young man in a long time. He’s neither arrogant nor impatient, calm and composed, yet possesses extraordinary skills.”
“The most important thing is that he has a heart that is indifferent to fame and fortune. When I gave him that check earlier, his calm and collected demeanor far exceeded his age.”
“What kind of family could raise such a child? If I have the chance, I really want to meet his parents.”
After Tang Mingde finished speaking, he turned to look at Tang Xiaorou and shook his head. “Whether it’s you or Feng’er, you both are far behind this Dr. Fang. You two siblings need to keep working hard.”
Tang Xiaorou had never seen her father praise a young man so much.
Is Fang Yu really that outstanding? Hmph!
Tang Xiaorou felt a bit unconvinced.
“I see that Fang Yu doesn’t seem to dislike you either. You should communicate with him more and try to be friends; this guy is definitely not an ordinary person!” Tang Mingde advised again.
…
Fang Yu returned to the vegetable garden, wanting to pick some greens to take home.
As he approached the garden, he noticed a series of shoe prints on the ground. Although the prints were shallow on the hard mountain path, Fang Yu could still tell that there were at least six different types of shoe prints.
This meant that about an hour ago, six people had walked toward the vegetable garden.
This was unusual; usually, no one would step into this small mountain.
Damn it, could they be here to steal vegetables?
Thinking this, Fang Yu quickened his pace.
Just as he reached the outskirts of the garden, several dark figures flashed out from the side, instantly surrounding Fang Yu.
Six gun barrels were aimed directly at him.
One of the men in black stepped forward with a smile and said, “Friend, we just want to ask you a few questions, and we hope you can answer truthfully.”
“Okay, go ahead,” Fang Yu replied without a hint of panic on his face.
“Is this vegetable garden yours?” the man in black asked.
“Yes, it is.”
“Then were you also near this vegetable garden at this time yesterday afternoon?” the man continued.
“That’s right.” At this point, Fang Yu already understood why these people were here.
“Did you see a woman yesterday afternoon?” The man in black narrowed his eyes slightly.
“I did,” Fang Yu answered.
The men in black exchanged glances, their eyes filled with murderous intent.
“Then… did you save that woman?” The man’s finger tightened on the trigger, ready to act at any moment.
“Strictly speaking, I didn’t save that woman. It was your companion who tried to kill me, and I merely acted in self-defense,” Fang Yu said with a slight smile.
“Thank you for your honesty. Goodbye.” The man in front of him sneered coldly and pulled the trigger.
“Bang!”
A gunshot rang out, and a bullet shot straight toward Fang Yu’s forehead.
The man in black was only about ten meters away from Fang Yu; at such a short distance, no human could dodge it!
But Fang Yu merely tilted his head slightly and avoided the bullet!
“Sigh, I already said your companion was killed because he wanted to kill me. Why are you attacking me again?” Fang Yu’s voice, like a ghost, drifted into the ears of each man in black.
The six men in black were thrown into chaos, turning to look for Fang Yu but unable to see him.
“Bang!”
The next second, one of the men in black let out a scream and flew out.
“He’s over here!” another man shouted and opened fire.
“Bang!”
The chaotic gunfire was accompanied by a series of screams.
In just thirty seconds, five of the six men in black lay on the ground, lifeless.
The last one standing was the man who had asked the questions earlier.
After witnessing Fang Yu’s ghostly skills, this man turned pale and trembled all over.
He had encountered a monster!
Run! I must escape! Otherwise, I won’t survive!
The man in black turned to flee but found Fang Yu standing in front of him.
“Ah!”
The man in black shouted and raised his gun, intending to shoot the close-range Fang Yu.
“Crack!”
But the next second, his right hand holding the gun quickly separated from his body!
The man in black screamed as he fell to the ground, his eyes wide open, filled with terror.
I need to call for backup! I must tell Miss Yang that this person is a monster!
The man in black took an old-fashioned phone out of his pocket with his left hand and dialed a number.
Fang Yu watched him quietly.
Three seconds later, the call connected.
Just as the man in black was about to speak, Fang Yu snatched the phone away.
“Hello.”
There was silence on the other end for a moment.
“The people you sent have already been dealt with by me. I really dislike trouble, so I hope this is the last time,” Fang Yu said.
“Miss Yang, this person is not ordinary; you need to send Brother Bai… ah!” The man in black shouted loudly, but before he could finish, Fang Yu kicked him in the chest, causing him to scream and pass out.
“What’s your full name?” Fang Yu asked into the phone.
The other party remained silent.
“Alright, if you won’t say, then forget it. Just remember what I said: don’t come to bother me again.” With that, Fang Yu hung up the phone.
Looking at the chaotic scene, Fang Yu rubbed his temples.
What has been going on these past few days? The troubles I’ve encountered are more than I faced in the last ten years!
…
Yang Family.
Yang Yinzhu put down the phone, her delicate white hands trembling slightly.
She and the Yang family had never been threatened like this before!
“Who exactly are you?” Yang Yinzhu’s red lips were like flames, and her black-and-white eyes radiated overwhelming killing intent.
Today, she had sent six elite members of her family, and they were all wiped out.
This was something she had never dreamed of.
In the past two days, she had already lost eight elite members.
Recalling the last words of her subordinate on the phone, Yang Yinzhu took out her phone and dialed a number.
“Have Bai Zhan come to see me.”
…
At the VIP ward of Jianghai City Central Hospital.
Ji Rumei woke up from her coma and saw her parents sitting beside her bed.
Ji Dongshan, seeing Ji Rumei awake, finally relaxed his worried heart. “Rumei, you’re finally awake. Is there anywhere that feels uncomfortable?”
Her mother, Wei Ling, also looked very anxious.
“Dad, Mom, I’m fine,” Ji Rumei replied.
After confirming that Ji Rumei was physically okay, Ji Dongshan’s expression darkened. “Rumei, are you sure it was the Yang family behind this?”
“I’m sure. The two assassins thought I was doomed and revealed Yang Yinzhu,” Ji Rumei said, her brows slightly furrowed.
“The Yang family! Damn it! Any past grievances were kept under wraps, but now they directly attacked and even wanted my precious daughter’s life! If I don’t avenge this, I, Ji Dongshan, am not worthy to be a father!” Ji Dongshan said angrily.
After a while, Ji Dongshan’s emotions calmed down slightly, and he asked, “Rumei, do you remember who saved you? This is a great benefactor of our Ji family, and we must repay him.”
Recalling Fang Yu’s skills, Ji Rumei still felt a chill run down her spine.
“I… I don’t know his name… but he looked very young and was incredibly skilled. Those two assassins had guns but didn’t even get a chance to shoot…” Ji Rumei said.
“Is there really such a godly person? Isn’t he stronger than your Uncle Wu?” Ji Dongshan said.
Wu Ming was Ji Dongshan’s sworn brother, a martial artist at the innate ninth level, with extraordinary strength.
Ji Rumei shook her head and said, “I don’t know, but that person was indeed very powerful.”
“Well… no matter what, he is our benefactor, and we must find him to repay the life-saving grace,” Ji Dongshan said.
…
The next day in class, Fang Yu sat in his seat, looking at Tang Xiaorou beside him.
“Hey, you should fulfill your promise now, right?” Fang Yu said.
“I’ll go after class; what’s the rush?” Tang Xiaorou replied, dissatisfied.
She had her pride too; being looked down upon by a boy hurt her feelings.
After class, Tang Xiaorou angrily left her seat and walked toward the office.
Finally, she could distance herself from the center of attention and avoid being noticed by others.
Fang Yu took a deep breath.
Five minutes later, Tang Xiaorou returned, sitting beside Fang Yu with an unhappy expression.
“The head teacher wouldn’t let me change, and I got scolded!”
