Chapter 45: Deploying Heavy Criminals

In the year 2022 of the Galaxy Calendar, March 6.

An ordinary yet tumultuous day.

On Resource Planet AB1698.

The twenty-third military base of the human federation.

A Large Battleship, five kilometers tall and over a hundred kilometers long, silently docked at the launch platform.

It was pitch black, made from super alloys, and not even planetary collisions could leave a mark on its surface.

Inside, it housed the most advanced defense systems of humanity.

When its force field activated, as long as energy remained, it could navigate freely through cosmic storms and black holes.

It lay on the launch platform like a colossal beast of the cosmos capable of traversing the stars.

Massive, brimming with an endless sense of oppression.

However, this space battleship was merely an uncrewed Large Battleship, without any weapon systems or even mechs and fighter jets onboard.

At the open hatch, unmanned transport vehicles carried sleeping pods into the Large Battleship.

Under the control of the battleship’s intelligence, they were sent to designated locations.

"My goodness, I checked the records. Last time they sent heavy criminals to the exile planet, there were only seven thousand two hundred twenty-three."

"This time, it’s over twenty-six thousand! How many of these are actual heavy criminals?"

"Who knows how many real heavy criminals there are, but one thing is for sure: the number of true heavy criminals is definitely less than half."

"Is the federal government crazy? They are sending over ten thousand people to the exile planet to get close to Yi Chen? Don’t these fools realize that the more people who approach Yi Chen, the easier it is to expose themselves?"

"If Yi Chen learns the truth, the consequences will be unimaginable!"

"Those speakers and members of the federal parliament are like pigs! They can’t think of the problems that we can!"

The audience watching the live broadcast erupted in curses.

"Probably not just those from the federal parliament, but also people from various forces. Who knows, there could even be spies from the Various Races."

"Surely not? No matter how inept the federal government is, they shouldn’t let spies from the Various Races infiltrate."

"Heaven knows, as long as there’s a benefit, those officials in the federal parliament would sell out their own fathers!"

"It’s all the fault of those bastards who shouted not to disrupt the federal parliament’s plans. If we had known so many fake heavy criminals got mixed in—and possibly even spies from the Various Races—we should have made a fuss to force the federal government to abandon this plan."

"Exactly! But now it’s too late to stir up trouble."

"Damn it, I’m going to smash the headquarters of the federal parliament later. Anyone want to go with me? As long as we have over a million people and no conspiracies, according to federal law, we don’t bear any responsibility."

"I’m on the same planet as the federal parliament headquarters, I’ll join!"

"Wait for me, I’m buying my ticket now!"

"Save it! This isn’t the first time the federal parliament headquarters has been smashed. Those members don’t care; they won’t pay for the repair costs anyway, the bill always comes to us."

"Still, it must be done. I can’t quench my hatred without smashing it."

"Exactly, it has to be done."

The angry crowd quickly reached a consensus: those who had time would collectively go to smash the headquarters of the Federal Parliament on the planet where it was located.

However, no matter how furious the crowd felt tricked, they could not stop the transport vehicles from delivering the heavy criminals to the interior of the space battleships.

Once all the Sleeping Pods carrying the heavy criminals were transported,

the space battleship, resembling an iron giant, slowly ascended under the control of the intelligence.

After entering space, it began to proceed toward its designated coordinates.

The speed increased rapidly, moving through sub-light speed, light speed, and then super-light speed…

An hour later, the massive space jump device began to operate.

Terrifying energy was being consumed rapidly.

After a few seconds, the space battleship vanished into the vastness of space.

Crossing thousands of light-years, it appeared just 0.1 light-years away from the exile planet.

After checking all the instruments of the space battleship, it set course for the exile planet.

After a brief acceleration, the space battleship rapidly closed the distance with the exile planet at speeds of dozens of times light speed.

Soon, it entered the area of cosmic storms.

In the starry sky 0.05 to 0.1 light-years from the exile planet, there existed a band of cosmic storms.

This area was filled with storms so fearsome they could tear any star to shreds.

Countless ultra-high-intensity meteor fields were visible everywhere.

It was precisely the existence of this cosmic storm band that made the exile planet the best place for the exile of heavy criminals from humanity.

Energy shields of medium and small battleships could not break through the cosmic storms.

Although space jump technology could fold space for transportation, it could not directly transport into bizarre cosmic areas like storms or black holes.

This meant no battleship could use the space jump system to transport directly to the eye of the storm, near the exile planet.

…

With an unimaginably strong energy shield for defense, the space battleship swiftly navigated through the terrifying cosmic storms without obstruction.

Ten hours later, it successfully passed through the area of cosmic storms.

After a brief rest, it set off at full speed toward the exile planet.

After another six to seven hours, it arrived safely in the outer space of the exile planet, joining another uncrewed Large Battleship.

The intelligences of the two Large Battleships exchanged data after completing their handover.

The previous Large Battleship, which had monitored the exile planet, began its return to the base.

The newly arrived Large Battleship opened its hatch.

One by one, unmanned transporters randomly delivered the Sleeping Pods to various locations on the exile planet and collected all the Sleeping Pods.

More than twenty-six thousand heavy criminals, dressed in beast skin clothes, were officially deployed on the exile planet.

Some unfortunate ones, before even waking up, were deemed food by passing fierce beasts and were swallowed whole.

However, many of the heavy criminals successfully awoke.

Upon waking, everyone looked bewildered or knocked on their heads, trying to remember something.

This was the first reaction after their memories were erased and they woke up.

"Damn it, each one of them is a skilled actor. I wanted to see their reactions to figure out who among them was a fake heavy criminal without erased memories. But after watching more than twenty, they all played their parts perfectly without a single flaw."

"Of course! Whether sent by the federal government or other forces, each is an elite among elites. Knowing we would be observing, how could they possibly leave any flaws?"

"Fortunately, according to the scanner, aside from the physical differences, none of them showed any significant energy fluctuations. Even if there were spies from the Various Races, they wouldn’t pose a threat to Yi Chen’s safety."

"Not to mention, these heavy criminals were randomly deployed, so it would be challenging to find an opportunity to get close to Yi Chen in the short term."

"Who knows if the scanner results were tampered with? As long as the space battleship doesn’t reboot and the anti-intrusion system isn’t activated, some top Hackers can invade the battle ship’s intelligence and alter the data and scan results."

"The people sent by the federal government are in on it, so they naturally won’t reboot the intelligence or activate the anti-intrusion system."

"Let’s not even mention that. I saw one of the new heavy criminals obviously hiding something at his waist. But the scanner showed there was nothing there; the image was clearly altered."

The audience in the live room was all worried.

They feared that the deployment of these heavy criminals would create many uncertainties regarding the skills stolen from Yi Chen.

Of course, some viewers were hopeful that this situation would evolve positively.
