Finally, in front of a quaint courtyard located at the highest peak, Miao Yue asked Chen Fei to wait for her for a moment.
This place was the residence of Miao Yue’s master—Mu Yunsu—the current head of the Tianqing Sacred Land.
In the Back Peony Garden, where hundreds of peonies were in full bloom and their fragrance filled the air, a woman in plain white robes stood among the flowers, admiring them.
“Disciple Miao Yue pays respect to Master!” Upon seeing the woman, Miao Yue immediately knelt down.
This woman was none other than Mu Yunsu, the current sect leader of the Tianqing Sacred Land and one of the rare few who had reached the Heavenly Dao Realm.
“Rise.”
“So, you finally decided to come back.”
Mu Yunsu looked up and smiled faintly. Though her words sounded like reproach, there was evident concern in her tone.
As the Holy Maiden of the Sacred Land, traveling alone was dangerous—if discovered by malicious individuals, her life could be at risk at any time.
“I’ve wanted to return for a long time, but I couldn’t break through, so I delayed,” Miao Yue replied with a playful smile, stepping forward to help her master trim the peonies.
“Not bad. This adventure was worth it—you’ve managed to break through to the Human Dao Realm.” Mu Yunsu nodded with satisfaction in her eyes.
“I heard you brought a man back with you? Could he be the lover you met during your travels?” Mu Yunsu asked teasingly.
At her master’s teasing, Miao Yue blushed and replied shyly, “Disciple wouldn’t dare!”
“Oh?” Mu Yunsu frowned slightly, displeased. “My disciple, the Holy Maiden of Tianqing Sacred Land, isn’t worthy of the man you brought back?”
“Who is he? From an ancient family? Or a core disciple from some powerful sect?”
“None of the above,” Miao Yue shook her head. “He’s just an ordinary spirit master from a small, unremarkable town.”
Mu Yunsu’s expression darkened, a flash of anger appearing in her eyes.
“Master!” Seeing this, Miao Yue quickly added, “It’s not what you think. Aren’t you curious how I managed to break through so quickly?”
“Everyone has their own fate. If you broke through, then it’s your good fortune,” Mu Yunsu replied calmly. At her level, she was no longer curious about the opportunities others encountered.
“Master, take a look at this!” Miao Yue said and pulled out a jade bottle from her robe.
“What’s this?” Mu Yunsu asked, puzzled.
“Master, open it and see,” Miao Yue said playfully with anticipation on her face.
“You cheeky girl. What could be so mysterious?” Mu Yunsu smiled, thinking it was probably a heartfelt gift—not particularly precious, but a kind gesture nonetheless.
She uncorked the jade bottle, and immediately, a unique fragrance filled the air. Even someone at her level in the Heavenly Dao Realm felt her spirit lift.
When she recognized what was inside, her heart skipped a beat, and she nearly lost her composure in front of her disciple.
She quickly sealed the bottle and looked at Miao Yue with a serious expression. “Where did you get this?”
“My lady gave it to me,” Miao Yue replied.
“You have a lady now?” Mu Yunsu frowned deeply, growing more serious. This was no small matter.
“Master, she asked me to deliver this to you. She said that with this, even if you can’t reach the peak of the Heavenly Dao Realm, you’ll be very close.” Miao Yue explained.
“Who is she?” Mu Yunsu wasn’t excited at all. Such a precious item could easily spark a war among Heavenly Dao experts.
“Her name is Su Han. The man I brought back is her husband,” Miao Yue then shared the story of how she met Su Han and Chen Fei, and the origin of these items.
After hearing it all, Mu Yunsu didn’t relax—in fact, her expression grew even more solemn.
“People from the Celestial Realm?”
“How is that possible?”
Mu Yunsu couldn’t believe her ears.
“After the ancient era, the Celestial Realm was completely severed from our continent. How could someone from the Celestial Realm appear here?” She shook her head, in disbelief.
“Master, it’s true. The Phoenix Spirit Pill you hold is the best proof,” Miao Yue insisted.
“I was able to break through because of her help. She even changed my foundation—I’m not who I used to be.”
“Moreover, she gave a certain item to our ancestor and said that once he sees it, he’ll understand everything.” As Miao Yue spoke, she took out an exquisite box sealed with Daoist energy.
“So, the man you brought back isn’t from the Celestial Realm?” Mu Yunsu asked.
“No, Master. He’s not. But my lady said he has the potential to become the strongest in this world,” Miao Yue quickly explained.
“Let’s go. We need to visit the Ancestor first.” Mu Yunsu nodded. She had a completely different perspective from Miao Yue regarding this matter.
“Master, what about my lady’s husband?” Miao Yue asked hesitantly, “He is…”
“It’s fine. Let him wait a bit. This must be approved by the Ancestor first,” Mu Yunsu interrupted and took Miao Yue away from the Peony Garden.
In the blink of an eye, Miao Yue found herself standing outside the secluded training grounds of the Ancestor.
“Ancestor, disciple Mu Yunsu has something important to report,” she said respectfully from outside the door.
“Enter,” a male voice responded. The door then opened by itself.
Miao Yue was curious—why was her master taking this so seriously?
Her lady’s request was extremely modest, and she had even gifted such a rare pill. Why didn’t her master seem pleased?
Su Han only had one request for the Tianqing Sacred Land: to accept Chen Fei and train him with full support.
This was already something the sect had always done—cultivating young talent. Even without precious gifts, if Chen Fei had enough potential, they would have gladly accepted and nurtured him.
“Give me the item. The Ancestor will summon you if necessary,” Mu Yunsu said, taking the sealed box from Miao Yue.
Although curious, Miao Yue could only wait patiently outside.
Time passed slowly. There was no call from the Ancestor, and her master didn’t come out either.
Only after half an hour did Mu Yunsu finally return, looking much more relaxed and back to her usual self.
“Will the Ancestor see me?” Miao Yue asked nervously. As the Holy Maiden, she had never seen the Ancestor before.
“No need,” Mu Yunsu shook her head. “Let’s go back. We shouldn’t keep your lady’s husband waiting any longer.”
“Master…” Miao Yue was full of questions. What did the Ancestor say? How would they treat Chen Fei now?
