Chapter 3 Taking Over the Emgrand Group

The next morning.

After Ye Chen finished cooking, he rode his little electric scooter to the Dihao Group.

He parked the scooter beside the parking lot of the Dihao Group, and just as he locked it, a black Bentley slowly pulled into a parking space across from him.

Ye Chen casually looked up and saw a young couple getting out of the car.

The man was dressed in a high-end suit, exuding an air of sophistication, while the woman was dressed flamboyantly; although somewhat gaudy, she could still be considered a rare beauty.

It turned out to be Xiao Churan’s cousin, Xiao Weiwei, along with her fiancé, the wealthy heir Wang Yunfei, who was about to get engaged.

Ye Chen didn’t know what Xiao Weiwei and Wang Yunfei were doing at the Dihao Group, but to avoid trouble, he decided to keep his distance.

However, things didn’t go as planned.

With her sharp eyes, Xiao Weiwei immediately spotted him and called out loudly, “Hey, brother-in-law!”

Xiao Weiwei’s affectionate call made Ye Chen feel a bit overwhelmed.

Out of courtesy, he had no choice but to stop and, as they approached, he smiled and said, “Weiwei, what are you doing here?”

Xiao Weiwei giggled, “I came with Yunfei to pay a visit to the vice chairman of Dihao Group, Wang Dongxue!”

After saying that, she looked at Wang Yunfei with admiration and said, “Yunfei’s family has many collaborations with Dihao Group. In the future, it will not only help the Wang family but also benefit our Xiao family.”

Ye Chen was unaware of the Wang family’s collaboration with Dihao Group, as he had only recently acquired the company and hadn’t had time to learn about it.

However, he didn’t show it and simply smiled, saying, “Young Master Wang has extraordinary charm and impressive capabilities; you two truly are a match made in heaven!”

Wang Yunfei glanced at Ye Chen with disdain, feeling a surge of injustice in his heart.

This loser had been scolded by Old Lady Xiao yesterday, yet today he acted as if nothing had happened, grinning and joking around.

Why would such a stunning beauty like Xiao Churan marry a good-for-nothing like him?

“To get a job, do you have any qualifications, you good-for-nothing?”

“With someone like you, even applying for a security guard position at Dihao Group would be impossible. If you had any self-awareness, you might as well go pick up trash on the street; at least you could earn two or three thousand a month!”

After saying that, she threw the empty drink bottle at Ye Chen’s feet and huffed, “Look, don’t say I didn’t take care of you; pick up this bottle and sell it for some money!”

Wang Yunfei laughed, “Although you’re quite pathetic, since you’re family, I should take care of you a bit. I happen to have some connections with the vice chairman of Dihao Group; how about I put in a good word for you and get you a job cleaning the toilets?”

Ye Chen coldly smiled and said, “What kind of job I look for is none of your business. You should worry more about yourself; Dihao Group is a big enterprise, and I believe they won’t collaborate with someone of your low caliber.”

Wang Yunfei instantly exploded with rage, “Who the hell are you calling garbage!”

Ye Chen disdainfully replied, “You are garbage!”

After saying that, he ignored Wang Yunfei and walked towards the Dihao Group building.

“Damn it, you stop right there!” Wang Yunfei quickly followed him, catching up at the elevator entrance.

He had intended to teach Ye Chen a lesson, at least give him a couple of slaps to let him know the consequences of offending him.

But seeing they were already inside the Dihao Group building, he worried that acting out might anger their partners, so he had to temporarily abandon the idea of teaching him a lesson.

Through gritted teeth, he said, “You’re lucky today; I’ll let you off this time, but next time you won’t be so fortunate!”

Ye Chen snorted coldly and stepped into the elevator, saying, “Wang Yunfei, do you think you’re so impressive? Trust me, you’ll soon learn the price of arrogance!”

“You bastard…” Wang Yunfei stepped forward, ready to rush into the elevator.

Xiao Weiwei pulled him back, disdainfully saying, “Yunfei, don’t share the same elevator with this garbage; you might get contaminated by his stench.”

Wang Yunfei nodded, realizing he couldn’t afford to fight him here, and coldly said, “I’ll let you off this time, but next time you’ll regret it!”

Ye Chen took the elevator directly to the top floor, where the chairman’s office was located.

At Dihao Group, Tang Sihai had already arranged everything for him, and the person responsible for coordinating with him was a woman named Wang Dongxue.

Wang Dongxue was quite famous in Jinling, known as one of the most prominent career women in the city. Not only was she beautiful, but she also had exceptional work capabilities.
