“Yiren, you’ve grown up. I almost couldn’t recognize you.”
Xu Jianguo stood in the dim alley, his eyes softly falling on his son Xu Yiren’s face.
After not seeing his son for three years, he found that he had grown taller, his face had lost some of its childishness, and had gained a little more determination, which made him feel emotional.
After he finished speaking, he quickly took out the instrument that looked like a thermometer from his pocket, and with skillful movements and a hint of anticipation, he gently pressed it towards Xu Yiren.
“Three point four of a hundred! You are worthy of being my offspring!”
When Xu Jianguo saw the numbers displayed on the instrument, his eyes suddenly lit up, the corners of his mouth couldn’t help but rise, his surprise was beyond words.
In his eyes, this number seemed to indicate something extremely important.
“Dad? What are you doing? And what’s going on with these three guys? Why didn’t the prison let me and my mom see you when we went to visit you?”
Xu Yiren was full of doubts. All the grievances, longings and confusions he had felt over the past three days came flooding back to his mind.
When he was a child, his father was his role model and accompanied him through countless happy times. But ever since his father went to prison, his life seemed like an overturned bottle of five flavors, filled with all kinds of bitterness.
The strange looks from people around him were like a cold wind, stinging him again and again; his parents went out early and came back late every day, and were so tired that they could not even straighten their backs in order to support the family. He saw all of this and felt pain in his heart.
I had prepared a lot of words of reproach, but when I really saw my dear, it was as if those words were blocked and I couldn’t say them at all.
“These are all trivial matters. I will explain them to you later. Let’s go home first. From today on, I will make up for the suffering you have endured. I will not let go of any of those snakes and rats!”
Xu Jianguo’s voice was deep and powerful, revealing unquestionable firmness, as if he wanted to make up for the debts of the past three months, and as if he was declaring war on those who had put their family in trouble.
“Hey, let’s go home!”
Xu Yiren’s eyes reddened slightly as he responded excitedly.
At the age of three, he had dreamed of a family reunion countless times. If his grandparents came back, he could not wait to return to that home, which was not spacious but full of warmth.
However, when he turned around and his eyes accidentally swept across the body of the gangster lying on the ground, his smile froze instantly and the blood color on his face faded completely.
“Dad! Are they dead?”
Xu Yiren’s voice trembled and he looked at his mother in horror.
Before his eyes, the heads of the gangsters were separated from their bodies and rolled to the side. The scene was bloody and horrifying, making him feel nauseous.
He could never have imagined that his father-in-law, who had just been released from prison, would be the instigator of all this.
“Well, dead. Yiren, you have to get used to this in the future. Starting from today, you have to undergo targeted training. Being too cowardly will be fatal in the future.”
Xu Jianguo’s tone was as calm as if he was talking about the weather that day, as if killing people was just a common thing for him.
Xu Yiren felt a chill in his heart as he listened. The father in his memory who loved to make him laugh, who even took good care of a stray cat and never killed any living thing, and the cold-hearted person before him, could never reconcile.
He kept wondering in his mind what these three relatives had experienced to have such a big change?
Fortunately, it was night, and the street lights in the alley were dim, like candles that would go out at any time, barely illuminating the small area. Xu Yiren could not see the large pool of blood on the ground that had begun to coagulate. Otherwise, this horrible scene would have become a nightmare that he would never be able to get rid of in his life.
“Let’s go.”
After Xu Jianguo finished speaking, he stepped over several corpses with a steady step without any hesitation.
Xu Yiren suppressed his inner fear, his heart beating like a drum, his eyes fixed on the front, not daring to look down, for fear of seeing those horrifying scenes any longer. He followed closely behind his father, his steps unsteady, as if he was stepping on cotton.
Not long after Xu Jianguo’s son left from the other side of the alley, the gang leader limped over from a distant pharmacy, covering the wound on his hand.”That kid runs really fast. I’ll give him a good beating when he gets out of prison!”
While mumbling, he looked at the wound on his hand caused by Xu Yiren’s bite. Although the flesh was not bitten off, the skin was broken and blood oozed out, causing him to frown in pain.
He casually bought some iodine and gauze at the pharmacy, bandaged the wound simply, and hurried back.
He thought that his younger brothers must have caught Xu Yiren and were waiting for him at the intersection to decide his fate.
But when he arrived at the place, he was dumbfounded. There was no one there.
“What a bunch of rubbish!”
The gang leader was so angry that his face turned red and he cursed loudly.
He felt like his face had been slapped hard in the face, so he reached into his pocket, took out his cell phone, and called his younger brothers.
Beep, beep, beep…the phone rang over and over again. He called each of his younger brothers one by one, but no one answered.
The gang leader’s heart skipped a beat and he felt something was wrong.
He is the boss of these people. If something really happens, he can’t escape the consequences.
Thinking of this, he gritted his teeth and pulled out a folding sword from his belt. The sword flashed coldly in the dim light.
He walked into the alley cautiously, observing his surroundings vigilantly with every step, his ears perked up, not missing any slight movement.
Suddenly, a familiar cell phone ringtone rang in the alley.
The gang leader followed the sound. At this moment, the dark clouds that blocked the moon slowly moved away, and the moonlight poured down without reservation, illuminating the entire alley.
The scene before him made him freeze in place instantly. A headless corpse was lying in the middle of the alley. Blood was spreading on the ground, gathering into dark red pools of blood, emitting a pungent fishy smell.
The heads of the dead were scattered all over the place, with their faces still showing the expressions they had when they were alive: shock, eyes wide open; irritation, brows knitted together; and anger, teeth clenched.
The gang leader stood there in a daze, his mind blank. It took him a long time to come back to his senses. The pent-up fear and shock in his chest suddenly burst out, and a piercing scream pierced the night sky.
“Ahhh! Someone’s dead!” The shrill cry startled the birds in the surrounding trees, who flapped their wings and fled away.
In the control room of the Security Control Bureau, the phone rang urgently.
“Hello, this is the Security Control Bureau front desk. May I ask if there is…” Before the operator could finish his words, he was interrupted by the crying and panicked voice of the gang leader on the phone.
“Someone’s dead, someone’s dead! 100! 100 people are all dead! Come quickly! A high school student is killing someone!”
The gang leader spoke very quickly with a trembling voice, repeating himself over and over again, as if this could dispel the fear in his heart.
The operator’s face suddenly changed and he immediately pressed the emergency button, while trying to remain calm and asking the gang leader for his specific location.
Soon, the sounds of sirens and ambulances pierced the night sky, and personnel from the surrounding security control bureau and hospitals quickly rushed to the scene of the incident.
10,000 people died at one time. This is a serious vicious incident of an extremely bad nature.
The Armed Security Control Bureau immediately took action, blocking the surrounding area, setting up cordons and roadblocks to prevent the murderer from committing crimes again.
The fully armed police officers patrolled every intersection with a serious look on their faces, not letting go of any suspicious person or corner.
“Brother Wang, a high school student killed 1 person? Unless he learned Muay Thai at the age of 1, learned Sanda at the age of 7, and learned American Iai at the age of 10, how could it be possible?”
In the car, the new officer looked confused and couldn’t help but speak.
He felt that this case was too outrageous. Even if he used his gun to fight a strong man, he might not win, let alone a high school student.
