Volume 2 + Chapter 1: The Idol On The Offensive
At Xijiang City Airport, a young girl with her face tightly covered by sunglasses and a mask was pulling a suitcase as she walked out of the terminal.
Outside the airport, a luxury sedan had already been waiting. The girl got into the car, took off her sunglasses and mask, revealing a face of stunning beauty.
“Ah, honestly, I have to dress like this every time I go out. My appearance is so perfect—it’s such a waste.”
It turned out that this girl was none other than the active idol Ning Caiwei, who shot to fame through an idol talent show. At only 16 years old, she was already a nationally known idol.
“At least you’re a somewhat popular idol now—try to show a little awareness.” A woman sitting in the car said to her. That woman was Ning Caiwei’s mother.
“Yes, Mom. But why did you suddenly call me back? I’ve accepted a bunch of advertisements and concerts out of town.”
“Cancel all those concerts and advertisements.”
“But those ads and concerts would really boost my popularity…”
“Daughter, you need to have a clear understanding of yourself. You’re still young. Instead of chasing immediate gains, you should focus more on improving your abilities. Although you’re somewhat famous now, you’re ultimately just a flash-in-the-pan idol who got popular through a talent show. If idols like that don’t improve themselves, sooner or later their ability won’t match their fame, and when that happens—they’ll be eliminated.”
“I understand what you’re saying, Mom… but how should I improve myself?”
“Let’s not talk about talents for now. What you lack is a sense of elegance and nobility. That’s why I’ve already found you the perfect place to train.”
With that, Ning Caiwei’s mother pulled out a transfer notice and handed it to her.
“Sakura International School? Isn’t that the famous elite school? But what’s the point of going there?”
“Don’t underestimate Sakura Academy. If it weren’t for our relatives pulling strings, you probably wouldn’t have gotten in with your grades.”
“No way! Even though I’ve been working as an idol, I still ranked among the top in my previous class.”
“That’s only because Sakura Academy’s students are just too good. Also, I’m not just sending you there for academics. Many of the students there come from prestigious families. As the saying goes, ‘He who stays near vermilion gets stained red.’ Spending time with these elite kids will naturally improve your personal aura.”
“So basically you’re sending me there to gain prestige?”
“Not just that—I have a mission for you. You must win the title of Sakura Academy’s school beauty.”
“The school beauty of Sakura Academy?”
“Don’t underestimate that title. Every year, before graduating, Sakura Academy’s school beauty receives countless direct admission offers from top film academies both at home and abroad. If she’s willing, she can choose any one of them.”
“What? That’s amazing?!”
“But becoming Sakura Academy’s school beauty isn’t that easy. The school has over a thousand female students, most from prominent families. And only one person gets to be a school beauty. To stand out among such an elite crowd—the school beauty of Sakura Academy is on a whole different level.”

A few days later, in the classroom of Class 4, Year 1—
“Today, we have a new student joining us,” the homeroom teacher said. “Come in.”
With that, Ning Caiwei walked in from the doorway and stepped up to the podium.
“Huh? Isn’t that Ning Caiwei?” Quite a few students in the room recognized her.
“Can’t believe a top idol would be my classmate! That’s unreal!”
“You flatter me,” Ning Caiwei said sweetly. “I didn’t expect even a third-rate idol like me would be known by everyone here. I feel truly honored.”
Although she said that modestly, inside she was delighted.
(As expected of an idol like me—no matter where I go, everyone knows who I am.)
After class, her desk was completely surrounded by curious classmates.
“Hey, hey, Ning Caiwei—since you’re already an idol, why are you still coming to school with us?” One classmate asked curiously.
“That’s because I still have many shortcomings. Everyone at Sakura Academy is so outstanding—I’m here to learn from all of you.”
“How humble! You’re already a popular idol at such a young age. Ning Caiwei, I’ve been a fan since your debut. I’ll keep supporting you!”
“Me too!”
The moment Ning Caiwei entered school, she instantly became the center of attention in class. And that made her feel even more pleased.
(Looks like winning over Sakura Academy’s students won’t be hard at all. At this rate, the title of school beauty will be mine sooner or later!)
Just then—
“Hey! The midterm exam results are out—guess what? Lady Qianxue and Bai Yuxuan got the same score—they’re tied for first in the entire grade!”
“As expected of Lady Qianxue—still as excellent as ever.”
“Lady Qianxue?” Ning Caiwei asked, puzzled.
“Ah, since you’re new here, you probably don’t know yet—Lady Qianxue is our school beauty, Ouyang Qianxue.”
“What? So the school beauty title is already taken?”
“Yeah. Lady Qianxue is the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen. The first time I saw her, I thought a goddess had descended from the heavens.”
“And her beauty is only part of the reason she became a school beauty. She joined the school and instantly swept through Sakura Academy’s various clubs with her impressive talents. From that day on, almost no one at Sakura Academy didn’t know who she was.”
“And that’s not even all. During a monthly exam, she scored just two points shy of first place and won the school beauty title. You have to understand—before she transferred in, Bai Yuxuan used to beat the second place student by fifty to sixty points!”
“I think Lady Qianxue is the model of womanhood. If not for her, I wouldn’t have believed someone so exceptional could exist in this world.”
As soon as Ouyang Qianxue’s name was mentioned, the class’s conversation shifted entirely from Ning Caiwei to her.
Although Ning Caiwei listened attentively, her expression clearly showed dissatisfaction. Ouyang Qianxue hadn’t even shown up, and yet she had already stolen all the spotlight.
(So this school beauty isn’t simple…)
Ning Caiwei thought to herself.
(But judging by what others said, she’s just a regular student. How could a regular student’s charm surpass mine? In terms of talent—I’ve trained hard since I was young and have already become an idol. I’m confident I’m not inferior to anyone.)
(So the only difference between me and Ouyang Qianxue now is academics. I heard that the top 20% have a chance to run for school beauty. As long as I improve my grades, the school beauty title will be mine—it’s only a matter of time!)
Thinking this, Ning Caiwei showed a confident smile.
