/Blessing established.
Experience points gained meet the requirements, level increased.
Level LV.12 increased to LV.13, all values restored.
Choose one of the three gifts: ① Health limit +10, Agility +1 ② Magic limit +5, Physical resistance +1 ③ Strength +1, Elemental magic resistance +1
A new skill has appeared.
“Proficient in all Languages”: Understands all languages.
What a simple explanation… If I acquire this skill, will I know all the languages in this world?
Wonderful, I won’t have to worry about the English test anymore!
Though to take the English test, I would need to find a way to return to my original world… Who would go back just for such a reason!
Still, I wonder if this includes the goblin languages too?
Yes, this skill must be obtained!
By the way, the skills I have encountered thus far can be divided into three main categories: the first type comprises combat skills that can be used in battle, such as “Bite,” “Attack Enhancement,” and “Sword Talent.” The second type consists of life skills like “Clean,” and the last type encompasses functional skills such as “Identification,” “Egg Laying,” and “Proficient in all Languages.”
However, this isn’t the appropriate time to contemplate such matters.
Now that my Magic Value has fully recovered, I can perform that activity again!
Ah, I-I’m not particularly looking forward to it!
After selecting the two blessings, Lin Yu returned to the ant nest, accompanied by a small group of ants along with several severely injured Military Ants.
Similar to Magic Value, Lin Yu had no means to restore Health Value, so the injured ants had to remain in the nest waiting for their Health to recover automatically.
Whether it is the inability to restore Magic Value or Health Value… these are significant obstacles that impede the growth of the ant colony.
Yet Lin Yu could do nothing about it.
A month later.
During this period, through constant battles, leveling up, and egg-laying, the overall number and quality of the ant colony increased substantially.
The total number of ants reached an impressive one thousand five hundred.
Even Lin Yu felt somewhat overwhelmed when she observed this number.
Among the one thousand five hundred ants:
The number of Weak Ants is approximately 600, with 80 possessing D Qualification, while the remainder are unqualified.
The number of Worker Ants is around 500, with 60 having D Qualification, while the rest are unqualified.
The number of Military Ants is approximately 400, with 7 possessing C Qualification, while the others have D Qualification.
All unqualified Weak Ants have reached the maximum level of LV.5, and more than half of the D Qualification Weak Ants have transcended their unranked status to achieve Class D. All of these D Qualification Weak Ants that have made this breakthrough have acquired the skill “Bite.”
The D Qualification Weak Ants that have achieved breakthrough generally have levels between LV.1 and LV.3, while those that haven’t made the breakthrough mostly range between LV.8 and LV.10.
Due to their limited participation in battles, the Worker Ants’ levels are considerably lower than those of Weak Ants. However, through consuming meat, unqualified Worker Ants have also reached the maximum level of LV.5, though D Qualification Worker Ants have not yet broken through; they remain unranked, with levels only marginally higher than unqualified Worker Ants.
Military Ants, being the most active in combat, level up most rapidly. Except for a few newly spawned Military Ants, the other three hundred have broken through their unranked status to reach Class D, with levels generally ranging between LV.1 and LV.5.
The upgrades for Weak Ants primarily consist of Health Value Limit bonuses, but Military Ants differ. Besides Health Value, their upgrades provide additional attributes. Upon reaching Class D, they typically gain 2 to 3 points of strength, 1 to 2 points of agility and intelligence, and 1 to 2 points of Physical Resistance Ability.
However, among the Military Ants that have attained Class D, only about 200 have obtained new skills.
Most new skills are “Defense Enhancement” and “Attack Enhancement,” though a small number of Class D Military Ants have also gained skills such as “Speed,” “Climbing,” and “Charge.”
The effects of these skills are self-explanatory.
“Speed” temporarily increases movement velocity.
“Climbing” is a skill previously possessed by Blue Apes, enabling Military Ants to climb trees proficiently.
“Charge” resembles “Bite,” and when activated, the force of the charge triples compared to a normal charge.
However, not all Military Ants reaching Class D receive a skill.
For the remaining hundred or so Military Ants that achieved Class D, their reward was an increase in attributes; most received a 50-point increase in Health Value Limit, while some gained points in other attributes.
This marks the first time Lin Yu has witnessed such a phenomenon.
Their promotion reward appears to be equivalent to five standard promotion rewards combined.
Yet it remains debatable whether gaining a new skill is superior to receiving five attribute enhancements.
After all, if the acquired skill is “Defense Enhancement” or “Attack Enhancement,” the Military Ants, currently possessing only around 2 points in Strength and Physical Resistance Ability, will barely notice the effect of a 1 or 2 times boost.
Although the ant population has grown substantially, once they reach MAX level, the food consumption of unqualified Weak Ants and Worker Ants decreases significantly, so the food situation isn’t as dire as Lin Yu anticipated.
Nevertheless, it remains a considerable challenge.
To secure adequate food, the ant colony must continuously expand its hunting territory.
The rabbits in the south have indeed proliferated greatly since losing their predator, the snake, but these rabbits are all LV.1, and neither killing them nor consuming their meat provides much experience. Thus, Lin Yu prioritizes distributing this rabbit meat to those unqualified Worker Ants and Weak Ants who have already reached their level cap.
Naturally, after obtaining the rabbit meat, Lin Yu also sampled this new variety of meat.
Unfortunately, rabbit meat proves even more malodorous than the previous wolf meat, with an even more pronounced gamey taste.
Lin Yu promptly expelled what she had placed in her mouth.
To avoid wasting valuable food, she offered the rabbit meat she had spat onto the ground to a passing Worker Ant carrying soil.
However, these numerous rabbits cannot sustain the entire ant colony.
Fortunately, the daily exploration team can hunt sufficient prey in the east and north.
The prey in the east primarily consists of wild boars and mountain deer.
However, mountain deer remain challenging to capture; it requires at least dozens of Military Ants and numerous Weak Ants to form a large encirclement to prevent the mountain deer from escaping.
In the north, the prey mainly includes Granville Wolves and other formidable monsters.
