Chapter 201: Urgent Commission
The next morning.
While Lvzi was still asleep, Lin Yu possessed Army Lady’s body and retrieved the Magic Recovery Potions they had purchased from six Apothecaries the previous day.
Though they had visited six establishments, only four had actually supplied Magic Recovery Potions.
Of the two that didn’t offer them, one Apothecary’s Pharmacist simply lacked expertise in brewing Magic Recovery Potions, while the other was Manfel’s establishment.
Manfel’s Apothecary had already sold its entire stock of Magic Recovery Potions to them previously. Moreover, the proprietor had been wholly absorbed in developing high-grade Life Recovery Potions lately, leaving no capacity for Magic Recovery Potion production.
Due to purchase quantity restrictions, the haul from the four Apothecaries proved modest—certainly less substantial than their previous acquisition.
The majority were continuous-recovery type Magic Recovery Potions, predominantly of inferior quality with only a handful of low and medium-grade exceptions. Lin Yu calculated that even consuming the entire supply would barely suffice for two complete Magic Value recoveries.
After ending the possession, Lin Yu sipped a Magic Recovery Potion while maintaining her perspective through Army Lady’s senses.
…
Having donned her garments and silver-plated light armor, Army Lady roused the sleeping Lvzi.
Rubbing her eyes with a drowsy yawn, Lvzi sat up, causing the thin blanket to slip away and reveal her alabaster skin to the cool morning air.
A sudden recollection of last night’s "incident" brought an involuntary blush to Army Lady’s cheeks. She tossed Lvzi’s clothing toward her, deftly obscuring the green-haired girl’s exposed décolletage.
"Get dressed quickly. We’re leaving."
"Okay~"
With efficient movements, Lvzi clothed herself before promptly linking arms with Army Lady.
"Let’s go."
"Mm."
After a futile attempt to extricate her arm, Army Lady resigned herself to the arrangement.
Following a simple breakfast at the inn, Army Lady—flushing under the curious gazes of pedestrians—allowed herself to be led to the Adventurer’s Guild with Lvzi clinging to her like a devoted songbird.
The moment they pushed open the guild’s heavy doors, both women froze in surprise.
The guild’s atmosphere crackled with unusual tension.
The first-floor hall teemed with adventurers—far more than typical crowds.
"Ah! Sister Army Lady’s here!"
"This way, this way!"
The trio of Will, Mayer, and Sally waved enthusiastically upon spotting Army Lady amidst the throng.
"Has something happened?"
"Yeah, something major."
Will nodded gravely but offered no elaboration, his attention—along with his companions’—drawn to the green-haired maiden still entwined with Army Lady.
"Um, might we ask who this is?"
"I’m Lvzi, Army Lady’s dearest friend."
She announced this brightly before Army Lady could muster an introduction.
"I’ve heard Army Lady mention you three! When she was being slandered by rumors before, you were the ones who stood up for her, right?"
"You’re good kids. If anyone gives you trouble in the future, come find me – I’ll help you settle the score! Oh, and you can call me Sister Lvzi."
"Uh… are you a friend of Sister Army Lady?"
Their personalities seem so different…
Will glanced at Army Lady beside him.
"Mhm."
Army Lady gave a reluctant nod.
"What’s with that? We’re sisters! Sisters, got it?"
Lvzi protested unhappily.
"Hey, that’s her… the new Class B recruit."
"What?! The terrifying woman who accepted the challenge and severed Lecker’s arms yesterday?"
"Exactly. I happened to witness the whole thing at the guild yesterday."
"Wait, that Class B… is that for real?"
"Tch, of course it’s real. You should’ve seen how thoroughly Lecker got wrecked yesterday – the fight was like toying with a child."
The surrounding adventurers had taken notice of Army Lady and Lvzi, sparking murmurs throughout the hall.
Will and his two companions caught snippets of the nearest conversation.
B…Class B?!
The trio stared wide-eyed at the proud green-haired girl.
"That’s incredible! Are you really Class B?!"
"Obviously! And you’d better call me Sister Lvzi!"
"Uh… Sister Lvzi."
They chorused obediently.
"She looks about the same age as Sister Army Lady but she’s already Class B!"
"That puts her on par with the guildmaster!"
Amidst the trio’s astonishment, Lvzi’s bragging, and Army Lady’s visible irritation, more adventurers filed into the guild.
Seeing most had arrived, Miss Elena clapped her hands, instantly silencing the murmuring hall.
"Since some adventurers arrived later, I’ll repeat the briefing."
"Several days ago, Naner Village was attacked by a goblin horde."
Elena’s expression turned grave.
"The messenger is Eco. Please describe the situation."
The lean man sitting on the counter bench, drenched in sweat and exhaustion, was called upon.
The journey from Naner Village to town was considerable – normally taking seven to eight days via Nister’s oxcart traveling by day and resting at night. Eco had made the trip in just over two days by riding horseback day and night to reach the Adventurer’s Guild.
Now he was utterly spent.
With haunted eyes, he recounted the scene at Naner Village – a goblin army numbering at least four to five hundred strong, including several massive Big Goblins among the regular ones.
Big Goblins, being weapon-wielding powerhouses, ranked among the most formidable Class C and D monsters. Even adventurers of equivalent rank found them challenging opponents.
Naner Village’s three-meter earthen walls might hold against a few dozen regular goblins, but against this horde – especially with Big Goblins among them – they might as well have been paper.
Seeing the approaching horde, Eco knew the village was doomed. Though ranked in the guild’s top twenty or thirty as a low Class C adventurer, he stood no chance against such numbers. With trembling limbs, he’d fled on horseback without delay.
The adventurers’ faces darkened at Eco’s account.
"Regarding the Naner Village attack, I’ve informed the town lord, who will likely dispatch troops. However-"
Elena paused, her gaze intensifying.
"Eco’s intelligence may be incomplete. The goblins wouldn’t mobilize their entire force. We don’t know their exact numbers or whether they have variants beyond regular and Big Goblins. We must also consider possible attacks on nearby villages. Therefore-"
"In the guildmaster’s absence, I’m issuing an emergency commission!"
All eyes turned to Elena.
"Mission parameters: Assist military forces in exterminating the goblin horde at Naner Village and survey surrounding villages. Rewards are pending, but rest assured – both the guild and the lord will provide satisfactory compensation!"
AlwaysTired
It really puts it into perspective how OP Lin Yu’s army is when a goblin horde of 500 is enough to coalesce an emergency comission from this town, Lin Yu took a goblin establishment twice the size back when her army was still baby-sized. Once Rainbow actually hits S tier in strength, and the rest of the A Qualification girls who recently hatched hit A tier in strength, her Ant Nest would be equivalent to a Kingdom in strength, probably much stronger.
