Chapter 103: Stay Away From Sister Lvzi
"Army Lady, and… Lvzi, bring your sister back to the castle. We are having a dinner party tonight." "Ah! It’s Mom!"
Lvzi, who had been pleading for mercy, suddenly shoved Army Lady off her, and Army Lady, startled by Lin Yu’s voice, froze momentarily, allowing Lvzi to slip away easily.
After pushing Army Lady aside, Lvzi swiftly located the source of the voice and lunged forward like a famished wolf.
Perhaps because it was only Lin Yu’s voice possessing her, she didn’t get as excited and dizzy from proximity as she had before.
Lvzi’s sudden "assault" took Lin Yu by surprise, and just before being toppled, she hastily severed her connection with Military Eleven.
"Mom! I’m here!"
With a cry, Lvzi, panting heavily, pinned Military Eleven beneath her.
Her six limbs clamped down on her sister’s six limbs, and she eagerly leaned in, rubbing against her sister’s body.
Huff… Huff…
"Mom, hehe…"
Drool smeared all over Military Eleven.
"Ah! You, let go of Mommy!"
Realizing what was happening, Army Lady grew anxious at the sight of Lvzi’s actions.
She stepped forward, repeatedly trying to pull her away.
"No way! Mommy is mine!"
Lvzi refused to budge, clinging tightly to "Mommy" and refusing to release her.
However, what "Mommy" said next halted their struggle.
"Um, sister, Mommy is no longer here…"
Military Eleven looked somewhat despondent.
"Oh."
No wonder Mom didn’t say anything just now.
Feeling a bit disappointed, Lvzi wiped some drool with her front leg and then stood up.
"How wonderful, my sister gets to be possessed by Mom."
Thinking of this, she felt a pang of envy.
If only I could also be possessed by Mom…
Haah~~
No, that won’t do. Just thinking about it makes me so excited.
Perhaps the moment I get possessed, I would get so excited that I would faint…
But… I wonder what that state feels like? I’m so curious… I really want to know.
Ha ha. Ha ha.
A myriad of thoughts flooded her mind.
Army Lady observed Lvzi sprawled on the ground, her six limbs twisted together, her breathing heavy and labored.
Initially intent on reprimanding her further, Army Lady was repulsed by Lvzi’s pitiful state. Hesitating, she lowered her raised limb and approached Military Eleven.
"Are you alright?"
"I’m fine…"
Military Eleven displayed the saliva stains on her body to Army Lady, her tone tinged with grievance.
"Keep your distance from Sister Lvzi from now on."
Uncertain of how to comfort her, Army Lady delicately selected an unsoiled spot with her limb and softly patted Military Eleven’s small head.
After consoling Military Eleven, Army Lady proceeded to the carcass of the bovine monster. Utilizing her "Magic Backpack" skill, she stored the monster within and then beckoned the surrounding Military Ant sisters to return to the castle.
Hearing Army Lady’s call, Lvzi swiftly regained her composure.
"Wait for me, Army Lady!"
She leapt up from the ground and followed.
Having informed Army Lady and Lvzi, Lin Yu proceeded to notify Red Pupil and Little Tear.
As dusk neared, all the ants began to trickle back to the ant nest.
Though it was a family dinner, not all ants could partake, given the current size of the colony.
Lin Yu didn’t tally precisely, but it was clear that the numbers were in the tens of thousands.
Thus, attendance at the dinner was restricted.
After some thought, she limited participation to ants with qualifications A and B, and those with qualification C and class C. These ants would hasten back to Foggy Castle, while the rest would return to their respective nests to enjoy a half-day holiday and an equally sumptuous feast.
Even so, the number of ants attending the castle dinner was staggering, nearing a thousand.
They journeyed from the First Ant Nest at the southern cave, the Goblin Ranch and mine at the Second Ant Nest in the west, and the Third and Fifth Ant Nests in the north, all converging on the Fourth Ant Nest where Foggy Castle stood.
The dinner, though called such, was quite straightforward.
As before, when they ventured into the Fog Zone, the Worker Ants simply needed to retrieve the food stored in the ant nests.
Preferring "juicy" raw fare over cooked dishes, especially without seasoning, the ants relished the fresh provisions.
"Transfer the fresh food stored in the ant nest and the castle’s basement to the hall and main room of the castle," Lin Yu instructed the ants of the Fourth Ant Nest as her daughters arrived.
She stood on a balcony on the castle’s third floor, a spot she often frequented to gaze aimlessly.
Near the castle, the scarcity of mist-producing trees allowed Lin Yu to observe some of the ants returning from hunts in the Fog Zone, though her view was limited.
……
In recent months, not only had the ant population and their levels risen, but each nest had undergone significant transformations.
First, the Foggy Castle.
Though the castle appeared aged and dilapidated from the outside, the interior had been meticulously cleaned by the Worker Ants and goblins.
All debris, including stones and splintered wood, had been removed, and the dust in every nook, including ceilings and walls, had been thoroughly cleaned.
The once overgrown courtyard on the castle’s first floor had been tidied, with numerous weeds cleared. During this process, Goblin grass was discovered, prompting Lin Yu to allocate part of the courtyard for cultivating Goblin grass, other medicinal herbs, and edible wild vegetables.
First, the Worker Ants would secrete saliva to nurture Magical Soil, onto which these plants would be transplanted. Additionally, several young fruit trees were planted.
The castle housed numerous rooms of varying sizes.
Their walls, ceilings, and even floors bore varying degrees of damage. Since the ants didn’t reside within the castle and the Worker Ants were primarily engaged in expanding the ant nest network, these repairs were temporarily postponed.
On the castle’s third floor, Lin Yu’s bedroom had also been cleaned. It contained a wooden bed heaped with a thick layer of dry hay, a wooden table, and several chairs. Despite the furniture, the room’s vastness lent it an air of emptiness. As for the castle’s basement level,
there were two large warehouses. The first housed weapons and armor acquired from vanquishing Dead Spirits, along with some rare monster materials.
The second warehouse stored the day’s fresh monster carcasses, primarily to feed the newly born, weaker ants.
The two rows of cells were also utilized; daily, mid-level advanced monsters with severed limbs were deposited there. These monsters were brought back by hunting ants for Lin Yu to deliver the final blow.
Moreover, due to the castle’s size, goblins and Worker Ants performed daily cleaning to maintain the castle’s cleanliness and order.
