Chapter 34: Hostile Encounter

Cancan thought Hua Qing was being unfair. He only said something mean, and now he was stepping on her shoulder to pass by. Cancan glared at Hua Qing sadly. Meanwhile, he and the monster were engaging in a lively fight, creating tremors occasionally. Cancan was exhausted, watching them fight helplessly on the ground. Suddenly, she realized how awkward she looked lying there as a young lady, so she transformed back into her original form.

Changing back to her original form was a relief, and she shuffled closer to Yu Xiu to continue watching the fight.

Big Green went over to Cancan and smoothed its fur, muttering, "How are you?"

Big Green came over with Hua Qing, but he stood on the other side. It took him a while to move over because the battle was intense. He didn’t want to get too close, as he was not a strong fighter and didn’t want to be caught in the crossfire.

Cancan tapped him with a paw and said, "Go check on how Yu Xiu is doing."

Big Green glanced at Yu Xiu and then turned back, saying, "You should worry about yourself first, instead of worrying about her." He didn’t even go near Yu Xiu, acting somewhat disdainful. Cancan pouted, "How come you don’t know how to take care of a lady? The gentlemen in stories are not like you."

Big Green patted Cancan’s head and said, "You know nothing. You’re just simple-minded!"

Cancan playfully bit Big Green’s hand without much force, just staring at him. "You’re attacking me!"

Big Green glanced at Cancan and chuckled, "Are you even a person? Accusing me of attacking you, do you even know what that means? Silly goose!"

Cancan thought he was being too much. He was being really unfair and unkind by treating her so coldly and unreasonably. She angrily said, "You can’t attack a fox either!"

Big Green chuckled at Cancan once again.

Cancan was lying back, while the two were arguing here, Hua Qing had already solved the monster with a sword. The monster kept roaring, and finally fell down with a bang. When the monster fell, Cancan looked over and saw the monster gradually turning into light smoke and disappearing.

Cancan stared over there, stunned. Before she could react, a sparkling and colorful crystal slowly rose up. Cancan exclaimed and quickly said, "Hua Qing, hurry!"

Hua Qing jumped up to collect the colorful crystal, and the bright light disappeared instantly. Hua Qing put away the colorful crystal and came to Yu Xiu, asking, "Are you okay?"

Cancan decided to change back to her human form. Because of the fight, her clothes were a bit messy. Big Green and Yu Xiu were on edge, but when they heard Cancan’s tone, they couldn’t help but laugh. Big Green sighed, "Hu Cancan, why are you so foolish! Have you ever thought that maybe she is Xian Yue? Although you have a face similar to Xian Yue’s, you are not Xian Yue. There’s no rule that Xian Yue must still look the same in her next life. Hua Qing didn’t expose her, but coldly remarked, "If you can’t read, why go?"
