Chapter 31: Battle Again

Cancan sat with her knees hugged under a tree, while Big Green sat at the other end, staring at Cancan carefully. After a while, he said, "Cancan, do you feel like we’ve grown apart a bit since we last met?" His words were filled with deep meaning, but Cancan just shrugged and said, "Not really."

Big Green felt a bit hurt but continued, "Have you noticed how nice you are to Hua Qing lately? Aren’t we childhood friends? But now you only seem to care about Hua Qing and not me."

Cancan blinked in confusion and replied, "Well, you’re right in front of me, why would I worry about you? It’s only when someone is far away that you need to worry."

"Have you noticed how well I’m doing out there? I even have some little followers now, like Little Green and Little White. I’m like a big brother to them!" Big Green boasted proudly.

Cancan, being an honest little fox, shook her head seriously, "I haven’t noticed."

Big Green felt Cancan’s straightforwardness like a sharp blade, completely unapologetic. She was like a girl with no filter.

He decided to turn his head away and ignore Cancan. Sometimes, not being able to chat is a problem that needs fixing! Hmph, who does she think she is, acting all high and mighty?

Big Green ignored Cancan, but she didn’t seem to notice. She continued daydreaming about Hua Qing, as if one day apart felt like an eternity.

It was already hot summer, but suddenly Cancan felt a bit cold. She adjusted her clothes and looked around cautiously, asking, "Did you feel a strange wind?"

Big Green chuckled, "Strange wind! You seem to be the strange one. When will you ever experience such high-class things again? Can’t you be normal?"

Cancan stood up, looking around alertly. Big Green teased, "Can you stop acting like Hua Qing? Geez!"

Right after he spoke, Mo Yuan descended from the sky. He was dressed in a black robe, with his long hair flying. He stared at Cancan intensely and smirked, "Xian Yue, it seems our hearts truly connect."

Cancan imitated Mo Yuan’s cold smile and said sarcastically, "After spending so many years in the Demon Realm, why do you look like a granny bear? With your confused mind, always stubbornly sticking to your ways, how could things ever turn out well? Surviving only because of Hua Qing’s protection."

Mo Yuan wasn’t bothered by the sarcasm and continued to smile, "Is that so? Come back with me and you’ll see what the Demon Realm truly is."

Mo Yuan exuded a powerful aura, and sensing his movement, Cancan, who was already cautious, quickly jumped behind Big Wolf. Big Wolf protected Cancan and shouted, "What are you doing! Don’t even think about bullying Cancan." Meanwhile, why hasn’t that darn Hua Yun arrived yet?

Sensing Mo Yuan’s arrival, Hua Yun quickly told Yu Xiu, "Hide yourself." Then he quickly grabbed his sword and rushed back.

Big Green sparred with Mo Yuan, but he was no match for him and was soon sent flying. In desperation, Cancan transformed back into her original form and charged forward. Although she was just a small fox, growing up with Big Green the wolf, she had a wild and fierce fighting style, similar to wolves. She directly went to bite, while Mo Yuan extended his hand, summoning endless dark wind.

Cancan was no match, with all its fur blown to one side by the wind, as if it was going to be blown away.

Upon seeing this, Hua Yun immediately acted, creating an invisible shadow that directly dispersed the evil wind, causing Cancan to fall heavily to the ground.

Even though Hua Yun arrived, Mo Yuan seemed to completely disregard him, with a mocking smile on his lips, his whole being exuding arrogance. The two engaged in a fight, using their respective spells.

Cancan and Big Green, two inexperienced monsters, stood by and watched, feeling dizzy with the spectacle. Despite this, they could tell that Hua Yun was no match for Mo Yuan.

When facing a superior enemy, it’s best to retreat if possible. But with Mo Yuan present, escape seemed unlikely. Cancan felt that a surprise attack was the best strategy at hand.

Fairness was for fairies, not for her as a monster. Without any psychological burden, she seized the opportunity and bit Mo Yuan suddenly. Caught off guard in the fight with Hua Yun, Mo Yuan did not expect to be bitten by Cancan. That silly fox was always like this! If it weren’t for the possibility that she might be Xian Yue reincarnated, Mo Yuan would have killed her on the spot.

Despite everything, Mo Yuan managed to knock Cancan back, revealing his full strength without restraint.

After being knocked back and coughing up blood, Cancan quickly got up, ready to charge again. Seeing this, Big Green hurriedly held it back, "Let’s surprise attack, that’s our best chance."

They couldn’t forget their tactical strategy. Cancan and Big Green seized the opportunity to surprise attack, facing repeated failures and battles. It was at this moment that Mo Yuan seemed to finally lose patience. Suddenly, there was a great disturbance in the world, overwhelming Cancan, who clung to a tree to avoid being blown away. Just then, Mo Yuan struck Hua Yun with a palm, causing Hua Yun to spit blood and collapse…

Mo Yuan almost immediately reached Cancan’s side. He grabbed Cancan, who struggled hard and let out a big fart, not as stinky as a skunk but still pretty bad.

Mo Yuan was briefly stunned by the smell, but didn’t let go. In a panic, Cancan fiercely clawed at Mo Yuan. He dodged backwards, surprised to see that Cancan had learned some magic at a critical moment. She slapped Mo Yuan, making him stumble back two steps, and he coldly smirked, "I see you’re in need of a lesson."

"You weirdo, you weirdo," Cancan snarled.

Mo Yuan didn’t hold back anymore. He conjured a black light ring and threw it directly at Cancan, trapping her instantly.

With a swoosh, a sword struck down, shattering the light ring, and Hua Qing descended from the sky.

Cancan escaped once more, looking over joyfully, shouting, "Hua Qing, Hua Qing, Hua Qing!"

Hua Qing clashed swords with Mo Yuan. Cancan could barely follow their movements, only sensing two indistinct cold winds, one black and one white, in fierce battle.

Cancan had seen them fight before, but never this intensely. It wondered if they had held back previously. Anxious and confused, Cancan circled and then noticed Hua Yun lying on the side. It dragged him away, and as Big Green approached, asked, "How is he?"

Cancan shook its head. Annoying as Hua Yun was, it didn’t want him to die, right?

She looked up again at the battle, afraid that Hua Qing might have been hurt.

They fought for a long time, from daytime to nighttime. In the dark moonlight, Cancan felt like Mo Yuan’s teeth were like black fangs, eerie and terrifying.

As night fell, Mo Yuan was not in the mood to continue. He took a step back, looking very wicked, "Hua Qing, if we keep fighting, we won’t be able to tell who wins. I won’t bother with you any longer. The day you find the Snowflake Glass is the day we have our final battle."

Hua Qing didn’t say much either, he just turned around and walked towards Cancan. Mo Yuan watched as she transformed from a fox into a person in an instant, smiling slyly. Cancan snarled at him, looking fierce. It was meant as a challenge, but Demon Lord found it somewhat amusing as he watched Cancan pick up a stone and throw it, missing her target.

Demon Lord said slowly, "When you find the Snowflake Glass, I will kill Hua Qing and take you."

Cancan replied defiantly, "Forget it!"

Demon Lord frowned.

"You little brat, how dare you plot against me! Wait until Hua Qing comes and kicks your butt." Cancan shouted.

Even though she was scolding Demon Lord, Hua Qing couldn’t bear it any longer. "Cancan, come help me support Hua Yun."

Cancan quickly reached out, and the Demon Lord swiftly left when he saw her.

Hua Qing was treating Hua Yun when he noticed Hua Yun lying quietly there, as if lifeless. He picked up Hua Yun and asked, "Where’s Yu Xiu?"

Cancan then remembered Yu Xiu and rushed to the lake to find her. But she saw Yu Xiu walking back while holding onto a tree. Cancan handed Hua Yun to Big Green and ran towards Yu Xiu. Yu Xiu, with a pale face, looked at the chaotic scene and said, "The fighting down the mountain is intense, my father and the others can’t be indifferent."

With concern in his words, Hua Qing furrowed his brows and said, "Let’s head up the mountain immediately."

Yu Xiu asked, "How is Hua Yun, the Immortal?" showing her care through her words.

After a moment of silence, Hua Qing slowly replied, "His Immortal bones were shattered by Mo Yuan."

Yu Xiu gasped in shock, looking at Hua Yun with sadness in her eyes. But Hua Qing stayed silent and said, "Let’s go."

Cancan was a bit confused. She thought if the bones were broken, they could just be fixed, but seeing Big Green looking serious, she didn’t ask and decided to inquire Hua Qing later.

Apart from worrying about Hua Yun, Yu Xiu also felt anxious about everyone. She had a feeling that something was about to happen.

"We must be almost there," Cancan said, taking a few quick steps forward. But as she saw what was in front of her, she stopped in surprise.
