Chapter 158: Going Home

At the exchange center of the border camp in Moliang State.

“This is the Divine Text Spiritual Treasure you two exchanged; please take care of it.”

The manager of the exchange center solemnly handed the Divine Text Spiritual Treasure to Xu Gang and his sister.

“Thank you, senior,” Xu Gang said.

“If there are no follow-up plans for demon extermination, it’s better to sell this Divine Text Spiritual Treasure early. The aura of this treasure cannot be easily hidden by an ordinary space ring.”

“If you two encounter a great being at or above the Core Formation stage in the wild, you won’t be able to escape,” the Transformation Stage manager warned, as this Divine Text Spiritual Treasure had the highest value available for exchange.

“Thank you for the reminder, senior,” Xu Gang replied.

Xu Yuexian appeared relaxed beside him; carrying treasures in the cultivation world was not new to her.

She had rehearsed countless times on how to bring treasures home.

As soon as the siblings left their sect, Xu Yuexian gave Xu Gang a knowing glance.

Understanding her, Xu Gang directly headed towards a large commercial building.

“Is someone following us?” Xu Gang asked telepathically.

“One Void Refinement stage and three Transformation Stage cultivators. They saw that we were being attended by the manager, so they targeted us.”

“No worries; it’s a minor issue,” Xu Yuexian responded. She had experienced being followed about eight out of ten times after coming out of a secret realm.

Upon entering the main door of the commercial building, the siblings activated the mask treasure feature given by the Hidden Spirit Sect, which changed their appearances and soul essence, naturally blending in with the crowd.

Since the border camp of Moliang State is governed by the Elder Council and this area gathers various cultivators, ordinary cultivators wouldn’t release their divine sense to probe the crowd unless they were looking for trouble.

“In the cultivation world, besides treasure hunters, there are also cultivators who specifically hunt treasure hunters. The better ones exchange some spirit stones for all your belongings; the worst ones murder and steal treasures.”

“I’ve encountered those cultivators before; if it weren’t for the techniques taught by my master, I might have fallen into their traps,” Xu Yuexian said as she led Xu Gang into a shop. They emerged with two stand-in puppets.

In the nearest fairy city to the camp, Xu Gang and his sister stepped into the teleportation formation.

A month later, the two appeared over the Ten Thousand-Mile Giant Lake, and seeing Lei Wenxi feeding turtles, Xu Gang said, “We’re finally home.”

“Greetings, Uncle Master! Greetings, Sect Leader!”

While feeding the turtles, Lei Wenxi noticed the two had restored their original appearances and quickly greeted them.

“Wenxi, can these turtles turn into Divine Beasts?” Xu Gang asked with a smile.

Xu Yuexian also watched the variously colored little turtles, noticing that they seemed to have extraordinary bloodlines.

“The Grand Elder said yes; as long as I keep feeding them, one day they will become true Divine Beasts,” Lei Wenxi said confidently.

This group of turtles had already been fed by her from the Qi Training Stage to the Foundation Establishment Stage, and by the time they reached the Great Ascension Stage, they were bound to become Divine Beasts.

“Then keep it up; I’m heading back to the sect now,” Xu Gang said to the earnest girl. He could hardly wait to return to the sect and present the Divine Text Spiritual Treasure to his master.

“Sending you off, Uncle Master! Sending you off, Sect Leader!” Lei Wenxi bowed respectfully.

The siblings swiftly flew towards Hidden Spirit Island.

“I almost forgot that I’m still the Sect Leader of the Hidden Spirit Sect,” Xu Yuexian laughed.

“You won’t be the Sect Leader for much longer; Master already has a suitable candidate. When the time comes, you can retire peacefully,” Xu Gang said. He had met Qiu Ziyuan, and indeed, he managed all the sect’s affairs with great organization.

“That’s best; being Sect Leader isn’t as interesting as treasure hunting in the cultivation world,” Xu Yuexian replied, still thinking about finding a Universe Ship for her master that could break through realms.

As soon as the two touched the protective mountain formation, they vanished into the air.

In the blink of an eye, they entered another realm.

Looking at the sect before him that resembled a fairyland, Xu Gang finally felt like he was home.

Knowing that his top disciple and second disciple had returned, Xu Fan rarely stepped out of the time chamber.

“How does it feel to be outside, Xu Gang?” Xu Fan asked with a smile.

“The sect is better,” Xu Gang replied innocently. Although he could freely cast spells against the beast tide outside, it got tiresome after a while.

“Haha, don’t imitate me. You should venture out more often in the future.”

At that moment, Xu Yuexian took out a small box made of spiritual gold and jade and handed it to Xu Fan.

“Master, this is a gift from me and my Little Sister,” Xu Gang said.

“Oh? A gift?”

Xu Gang opened the box and his eyes instantly widened.

Inside lay a piece of light yellow stone, emanating an incredibly heavy presence. Just that small stone felt as if it revealed an endless vast continent.

“Is this your harvest from being outside for half a year?”

“Yes.”

“You’re thoughtful.”

Looking at the Divine Text Spiritual Treasure in the box, Xu Fan felt that his disciples were worth taking in after all.

“My Little Sister and I heard that refining a celestial tool requires celestial script, so we exchanged our points from demon extermination to get this for Master,” Xu Gang said with a smile.

“Actually, celestial tools can be refined without celestial script, but those will be inferior to ones made with it,” Xu Fan explained as he delicately examined the Divine Text Spiritual Treasure.

“With this celestial script, after I reach the Golden Core Stage, each of you will receive a celestial tool with celestial script.”

Xu Fan carefully placed the Divine Text Spiritual Treasure back into the box. Ever since these disciples grew up, none of their gifts had been trivial.

Celestial script, wood essence, Star Ships—these were all things rarely seen.

Setting aside emotions, these items surpassed what he had given them by more than a hundred times.

In the evening, Xu Yuexian personally cooked, inviting all of Xu Fan’s disciples for dinner.

Afterward, Xu Fan entered a long seclusion once more. With the fusion of the two realms and the beast race invading, their leisurely days were certainly over until safety was assured.

In the time chamber, Xu Fan examined the Divine Text Spiritual Treasure in his hand, while nearby stood one of his good disciples, Li Xuandao.

“Master, this celestial script represents the character for earth among the five elements.”

“In the Thousand Worlds, it’s considered a fundamental celestial script,” Li Xuandao added, “When I say fundamental, I mean relative to true immortals.”

He was worried that his master might misunderstand.

“It’s equivalent to earth character runes, I understand now.”

“Did you come to see me for something?” Xu Fan asked, as he was contemplating the celestial script when he received Li Xuandao’s request to meet.

“I thought about it; having joined the Hidden Spirit Sect, I can’t just be a freeloader.”

“So, I organized all the techniques and methods, celestial arts, celestial scripts, pill formulas, and methods for refining a dozen kinds of celestial tools that I know and brought them to present to Master.”

“Although they are common in the Thousand Worlds, they still hold some value in the cultivation world,” Li Xuandao said.

After mixing in the Thousand Worlds for so long, he knew these were considered commonplace items.
