Chapter 3
Chapter 3: Tina: It’s Over! the Mainland Must Have Fallen!
After waking up from unconsciousness for the second time, Tina found herself in a different place again.
It was neither a dark and damp prison cell, nor that strange interrogation room.
What appeared in her eyes was a lush canopy of broad-leaved trees.
The air was fresh and sweet, occasionally she could hear a familiar forest bird chirping nearby.
She got up and discovered that she was lying on a hammock made of vines and leaves of a giant crescent moon tree.
Everything made Tina feel extremely familiar.
It felt like she had returned to the Valley of the New Moon, the location of her tribe!
Tina was momentarily lost in thought.
“Strange, didn’t I come to the Holy Alliance to join the coalition forces and then get captured by the Demon Army…?”
She gently caressed the nearby trees, feeling the rough texture confirming to her that this was not a dream.
“I see, being captured by the Demon Army was just a dream, I am still at home now!”
Tina started to feel a bit excited.
Everything before was not real, it was just a nightmare.
The dark and damp prison cell was a dream, the strange but scary interrogation room was a dream, and the slim but wicked-looking succubus… was also a nightmare!
If Tina wasn’t a reserved and elegant Moon Elf, she might have burst out laughing and cried with joy at that moment!
She walked lightly through the forest, not knowing exactly where she was in the Valley of the New Moon, but as long as she encountered her own people…
“Hey, don’t run around everywhere.”
A voice from behind interrupted Tina’s thoughts.
The voice had a hint of charm, but the tone was lazy and indifferent.
Hearing this voice, Tina was shocked like lightning, stopped in her tracks, and slowly turned around.
She saw the very strange-looking succubus named “Lolth” as before.
The woman was sitting at a round tree stump table in Moon Elf style, with a map laid out in front of her.
“Why are you in the Valley of the New Moon! How long have I… been unconscious?”
Tina’s voice started shaking.
A terrible possibility came to her mind!
That she had been unconscious for a very long time!
Long enough for the Demon Army to completely break through the defenses of the Holy Alliance, take control of the entire continent, and the Valley of the New Moon to become the Demon Army’s territory!
This wicked succubus must have turned all her sisters, aunts, and mothers into shameless sows and was here to boast to her.
Thinking of this, Tina’s body began trembling uncontrollably.
“Oh… wretched succubus!”
Her eyes, like emerald gems, were filled with tears, looking pitiful and sorrowful.
Lolth looked at Tina, who was trembling, unsure why this Elf Princess, with such poor mental resilience, was upset again.
To prevent Tina from dozing off like a dead pig, snoring and drooling crystal-clear saliva for another six hours, Lolth had to speak softly and comfortingly.
“You only slept for six hours, this isn’t the Valley of the New Moon, but still the Demon King Castle… But you can see, the decor here is just like back home. You can feel safe here, I won’t harm you.”
Lolth tried to force a harmless smile on her face.
Though she didn’t inherit the succubus’ evil, seductive, or cunning nature, or even their alluring figure, that naturally enchanting face was a family trait.
The “harmless” and kindly smile, with her slightly upturned eyes, purple irises, and faint pink markings on her face, seemed eerie, almost conspiratorial.
Tina saw this expression and naturally became more cautious!
“You’re lying! Why did you decorate the Demon King Castle like this… What is your intention! Oh, I heard you, you said this is the Elf Interrogation Chamber!”
Tina excitedly spoke incoherently.
While Lolth was speechless.
She couldn’t admit that she created these realistic environments suitable for different races’ ecology just to get more funding and improve her living conditions, right?
As a time traveler who had outgrown her teenage rebellious phase, she of course didn’t like the cold, dark gothic style of the Demon King Castle and found it very uncomfortable to live there.
So, using her strong persuasion skills, Lolth suggested to the Demon King that having interrogation rooms tailored to different races’ customs would help them let their guard down, making it easier to gather information through questioning.
She also used her past life’s academic abilities to write about three volumes of parchment papers as evidence, successfully confusing the Demon King.
Therefore, the wealthy and arrogant Demon King simply allowed her to build specialized interrogation rooms for various races and countries.
This lazy Lolth, who enjoyed comfort, now had the privilege of experiencing the diverse cultures of the entire Otherworld continent without leaving home, and could also cultivate various animals and plants from different environments, study different regional delicacies.
Delicious food is one of her few interests!
And of course, it’s even more impossible to explain this reason to a little fairy girl!
