Chapter 129: Unlucky Child
Grand Duke Osiris quickly arrived at the dungeon with two wizards, even the headmaster followed along.
Now Osiris wasn’t even afraid of the headmaster knowing the secrets of the dungeon, after all, Karoso disappeared there!
"Is this it?" Osiris pointed at the wall.
"Yes, Your Grace, the young master just touched it lightly, and he and the person with him got sucked in." The soldier quickly reported.
The headmaster placed his large hand on it, frowning slightly.
"No magic reaction at all, the appearance of this dungeon is somewhat similar to one Karoso encountered before…" The headmaster muttered, "That dungeon also didn’t look like a dungeon at all, it was on a wall in a tavern, anyone who touched it would go in, but it never sucked anyone in."
As the headmaster mentioned this, a cold sweat dripped down his forehead.
The previous dungeon could still be found in records, but a dungeon that actively sucked people in had no records at all!
There is a possibility that everyone who encounters this type of dungeon will all die!
"What happened then?" Osiris frowned at the soldier.
"There was a loud bang coming from that room." The soldier pointed to the room where the red-haired lady was locked in.
Upon hearing this, Osiris walked to the door of that room, waved his hand, and the soldier quickly helped him open the door.
Inside, the red-haired lady was wearing a white prisoner’s outfit, her hands and feet chained, looking at Osiris with a half-smile.
"Well, if it isn’t dear Grand Duke Osiris?" The red-haired lady jingled the chains in her hand. "How come you have so much free time to come and see me?"
"Is it you?" The principal saw the red-haired lady and his face changed. "The noble killer, Minaret!"
Minaret, a world-famous criminal of S-class wanted, enjoys killing nobles and has killed no less than a hundred.
Her profession is a thief, a rare eighth-tier thief. It can be said that she is the highest-ranking thief!
Little did I expect that such a person would be locked up here.
"What were you doing when Karoso got into trouble?" Osiris frowned. "If you tell me, I can give you a few books to read."
A few books, though valuable outside, are not rare things.
But in this dark and gloomy dungeon, books are rare items for passing time.
"Oh, it seems that little rascal is important to you. Not scared that I might tear up the shackles with book pages, kill your soldiers, and then escape?" Minaret licked his lips.
The principal quickly looked at Osiris.
Others might think it’s a fantasy, but the principal knew that Minaret was capable of it. He was the ancestor of thieves and assassins!
"Not afraid," Osiris shook his head.
"Alright…" Minaret raised an eyebrow. "It’s quite simple, really. That little rascal triggered something unknowingly, I felt a pull that smashed me against the door."
"If my magic wasn’t restricted, this amount of suction wouldn’t affect me at all."
"Is that so…" Osiris rubbed his chin. "Understood."
Osiris waved his hand, and the iron gate closed.
"Your Highness, Minaret…" The principal opened his mouth.
"Don’t ask." Osiris gave the principal a cold look, and the principal fell silent.
It seems like this is Osiris’s secret.
Why is this assassin here, behaving so obediently? There must be a story behind it…
"Based on the strength of this manor’s magic array, it shouldn’t be able to generate a dungeon." Osiris frowned at the wall where Karoso was pulled in. "There were no magic reactions detected before either."
"This is not magical at all." The principal chuckled sadly. "However, too many non-magical things have happened to Karoso."
Grand Duke Colloa walked to the wall and started knocking on it again.
Knock, knock, knock…
His mechanical arm hit the wall, making a crisp sound.
"He will definitely come out." Osiris whispered, "It’s just a dungeon, he’s been there so many times and always came out alive, right?"
"Yes, no dungeon can defeat Karoso!" The principal looked at Osiris with surprise.
He had never seen Osiris care about anyone!
Is this caring for Karoso?
……
Carrey is completely puzzled now.
Oh no, isn’t this the simulated dungeon? It just looks more real now, how did it suddenly become real? There’s no magic in this at all!
Maybe this technology isn’t mature enough yet, turning this dungeon into a real one?
Carrey gasped heavily, the whisper of that deity almost drove Carrey crazy!
"Suppressed to Tier Three, darn it…" Carrey’s face looked awful. "I still need to get a part from The Favored One… Is The Favored One from reality or from this era? Why isn’t anything clear?"
"Wait, I came in, but where are they?"
Carrey looked at the cards in front of him and casually replaced a few.
With his three-star epic set, he didn’t need to replace too many cards, just the fourth-tier ones in the deck needed to be swapped out for some Tier Three ones.
"From the information I know, I have to find The Favored One, at least kill one to advance…"
Carrey impatiently tapped the table, "The Favored One, those are all a bunch of freaks, their powers are too dreadful! Thankfully, everyone is suppressed to Tier Three…"
"Let me think, this dungeon can be cleared…"
"I need to stay calm, I’ve cleared so many dungeons before."
……
The most wronged one is Kirmin.
She looked around in confusion, "The Favored One? Why am I The Favored One? Which god favored me? Why don’t I know?"
If I had the power of The Favored One, why would I work odd jobs every day for money? I would have been seeking wealth and glory in dungeons long ago.
Dungeon, is the entrance to the dungeon in the dungeon? Why didn’t that annoying Karoso mention it earlier!
Could it be that this dungeon is specially prepared for me?
That Karoso person seems very skilled at raiding dungeons.
When I was almost at my limit, he suddenly appeared from the sky and defeated the monster.
Then, he gave me a charming smile and said, "Now it’s just you and me, whatever happens here, no one outside will know."
Kirmin shuddered, "This is too scary!"
"Who’s there?"
Kirmin quickly turned around, feeling someone behind her, but they disappeared in an instant.
"Please, go find Karoso, he’s strong. Please don’t look for me, I’m not The Favored One, I’m just a normal merchant’s daughter." Kirmin pleaded, on the verge of tears, "Why am I being treated like The Favored One when I’m not…"
