The crimson alert page echoed in Xi Yu’s mind.

In the tranquil forest, sunlight dappled the surroundings. Apart from the corpse of the recently slain stone-toothed beast, the entire forest was eerily quiet.

Xi Yu crouched down and observed her environment vigilantly.

Aside from the soft rustling of leaves stirred by the breeze, there was no sense of any approaching star beasts.

Frowning slightly, Xi Yu wondered if the system had made a mistake in its perception.

System: “What kind of biochemical toxin is this?”

Xi Yu paused for a moment before realizing that the system might be referring to the nutrition solution just now.

With a cold smile, Xi Yu replied, “Is there any left of that nutrition solution? What I just gave you was the highest-grade nutrition solution from the entire empire, and I don’t even have a few stockpiled in my space.”

The system watched in shock as Xi Yu directly swallowed the remaining nutrition solution.

This was something that had caused it to crash after only tasting 10%!

Xi Yu raised an eyebrow.

System: “You actually swallowed it?!”

System: “…Isn’t there food everywhere on this planet?”

System: “Currently being checked. Deducting 100 star coins.”

“Detection complete. The stone-toothed beast is evolved from ancient rabbits. This only contains 20% of the ancient rabbit’s gene chain, with the rest of the genetic components still under analysis. A detailed report will be sent to the host’s display screen shortly.”

Xi Yu’s eyes brightened as she glanced at the ticking time on her lightbrain.

It was already three in the afternoon.

Using her space wristband, Xi Yu stored the stone-toothed beast, instantly filling her space about halfway. She would process the stone-toothed beast when she returned.

A smile crept onto Xi Yu’s lips.

When Xu Yi got back, she found Xi Qi sitting dazed on the grass mat and not moving. Her eyes were slightly unfocused as if she had just woken up.

“Little Qiqi.”

“Big sister.”

Hearing Xi Yu’s voice, the little girl finally came to her senses.

With sunken cheeks and bright sparkling eyes, she looked both adorable and pitiful.

“Sister, where did you go? Little Qiqi thought you didn’t want her anymore. It’s all Little Qiqi’s fault. If it weren’t for me, you would be studying at the Empire’s No. 1 Military Academy right now…”

Tears filled her eyes, making her look exceptionally pitiful.

Before she could finish, the sound of a growling stomach interrupted.

The little hands immediately covered her belly shyly, rubbing it gently as if blaming it for being unruly.

Then with a timid glance looking up, she realized Xi Yu was watching her every move.

Her face flushed bright red with embarrassment.

Looking at Xi Yu with caution, she said slowly: “It was just my tummy throwing a tantrum. I’m not hungry, I’m not hungry at all.”
