Chapter 63: Magic Tornado
With Fang Lie’s roar, the magic in his dantian energy seas erupted violently under the Explosion Qi Technique. It transformed into a surging tsunami of magic that tore through his meridians, instantly multiplying his power over tenfold!
As Fang Lie’s magic surged, the raging winds around him intensified until they formed a colossal tornado piercing the heavens!
The spectators stood frozen in terror at this sight.
"Magic tornado!" gasped the Baibao Zhai shopkeeper. "Only Golden Pool realm cultivators can achieve this! Fang Lie’s still at Qi Sea level!"
"Big Brother’s truly monstrous~" Ice Second Brother and others muttered in awe.
"How’s this bastard so strong?" Huang Mao paled, sweat dripping. "Is he even human?"
Power coursed through Fang Lie’s veins as he glared at his foe. "Yellow Hair!" he bellowed. "DIE!"
Golden wings snapped open behind Fang Lie, propelling him like a comet towards Huang Mao. His magic-charged palm shot straight for the enemy’s heart.
Huang Mao roared defiantly: "BREAK MY DEFENSE? NEVER! HUANG FAMILY’S IRON WALL!"
A shimmering shield materialized before him.
BOOOOM!
The collision shook the earth. Through the dust cloud, a figure flew backward like fired cannon shot—smashing through trees before crumpling against a trunk. Huang Mao slid down, chest caved inward, blood gushing from his lips.
"C-curse you…" he gurgled. "Why… can’t I ever… beat you?"
Dust settled to reveal Fang Lie standing unscathed. "Your technique’s weak," he stated coldly. "The Huang Family’s Iron Wall requires righteous resolve. Fight like a cornered beast next time."
As Fang Lie turned to leave, Mrs. Huang threw herself at his feet. "WAIT!" she wailed. "Let me speak! Then do as you will!"
"Speak."
"My husband knew nothing of breaking the engagement! When he discovered it, the deed was done! I used his mother to restrain him—we fought, he struck me, then left!" Her tears fell freely. "He wandered jianghu, found a demonic path master who attacked your father. Though merely a cultivator, he SLAUGHTERED that Immortal-ranked killer! Now he lies dying for this deed! You’re a Fang—decide his fate!"
Fang Lie froze. Memories surfaced of the boisterous armored man who’d doted on him. A pang struck his heart—this man had avenged his father at mortal cost.
"Pills. Now." Fang Lie extended his hand.
Mrs. Huang nearly wept with relief, thrusting forth a Sumeru Bag.
"Wait." Fang Lie strode to his cave dwelling’s Pill Room.
His body screamed in agony—the Explosion Qi Technique had ravaged his Qi Sea and meridians. Any other cultivator would be crippled.
But Fang Lie sat cross-legged, summoning his inherited true fire. Though his Qi Sea couldn’t sustain the Nirvana Healing Technique yet, the primordial Nirvana fire coursing through him needed no such aid.
Two hours later, his injuries had vanished—the undying nature healing even shattered energy channels. The price? Mere temporary trouble.
If this had happened to anyone else, it would’ve been miraculous. Yet Fang Lie remained unsatisfied. Muttering to himself, he said, "Taking two whole hours for minor injuries is too slow. The Nirvana Healing Technique’s better – it heals almost any wound instantly. Only with this divine skill paired with Explosion Qi Technique can I unleash limitless power!"
After speaking, Fang Lie rose to prepare pills for Huang Tianbi.
The required spirit pills weren’t particularly high-grade or complex, but their rare materials and the necessity for Flawless Pills made them extremely valuable due to low success rates.
None of this posed problems for Fang Lie. His Nirvana fire Alchemy Skill defied the heavens, transforming mediocrity into marvel.
Within mere hours, three Flawless Yuanyang Demon-Shaking Pills emerged from the furnace.
Carrying the pills from his cave dwelling, Fang Lie found the three Huangs and Old Shopkeeper waiting. Without ceremony, he tore the hem from his Dao Robe, placed the pills on the fabric, and flung it at Mrs.Huang.
"Today marks the end between our families! Centuries of Fang-Huang friendship die here!" Declaring this through gritted teeth, Fang Lie turned and strode away.
Mrs.Huang wept over the discarded robe fragment and flawless pills. Huang Mao’s nose stung with unshed tears while unease churned his gut.
The Baibao Zhai shopkeeper sighed, shaking his head. "Such honor! The Fang Family’s righteousness shines bright."
Turning to Mrs.Huang, Old Shopkeeper stated gravely, "Tell your husband his wine debt is forgiven." He then departed like drifting smoke.
Mrs.Huang paled – though veiled in concealment, this clearly meant another severed tie.
Returning home anxiously, they began Huang Tianbi’s treatment. Three days later, the recovered patriarch sat clutching Fang Lie’s torn robe hem, tears soaking his beard.
Below knelt Mrs.Huang, Huang Mao, and Huang Ying, heads bowed in shame.
"Wretched woman!" Huang Tianbi’s slap cracked across his wife’s face. "You destroyed generations of bond! Why not throw yourself into a pit?"
Trembling, Mrs.Huang whimpered, "Let’s apologize to the Fang Family…"
"Fool!" Another slap landed. "The Fangs aren’t your trashy relatives! They’re true men who never waver once decided! Remember their family rules?"
"Smash through South Walls without retreating?" Mrs.Huang grimaced. "Why must they be so stubborn?"
"You DARE blame them?" Huang Tianbi roared, hand rising again. "Your greed ruined everything! We lost the perfect son-in-law!"
CRACK! Mrs.Huang struck her own face first. "Blind! Had I known Fang Lie’s a master alchemist, I’d have begged him to take Huang Ying as concubine!"
No exaggeration – Fang Lie’s status now meant he could marry anyone worldwide. A youthful master alchemist’s potential was limitless – even Mo Sect Leader would greet him with respect!
Sparing his wife momentarily, Huang Tianbi slapped Huang Mao. "Useless whelp! I ordered you to befriend Fang Lie!"
Rubbing his cheek, Huang Mao protested, "Father! I’m your son, not some mutt!"
"Your mother’s the bitch here!" Huang Tianbi snapped.
Glaring furiously but silent, Mrs.Huang cuffed her son’s ear. "Answer properly!"
"But Fang Lie’s just a blockheaded fool!" Huang Mao grumbled. "Why befriend him?"
Huang Tianbi’s tears fell as he slapped his thigh. "My son’s an idiot! Fang Lie obeyed his father despite confusion, while you ignore my wisdom!"
"I do listen!"
"Then why’d Fang Lie sever ties? Am I stupid?"
"Alright, I messed up!" Huang Mao sulked. "But it’s not life-threatening!"
"IT INVOLVES YOUR SURVIVAL!" Huang Tianbi’s shout echoed with desperate tears.
