Chapter 4: Divine Phoenix Nirvana Scripture

The Four Token Lords were all Thunder Tribulation Immortals with unfathomable cultivation. Without needing further questions, they closed their eyes to seek answers through the Great Will.

"Disgraceful! The family disciples of today have become utterly shameless, resorting to such vile deeds—it’s appalling!" roared Huo Wufang, the ‘Righteousness’ Token Lord and Thunder Tribulation Immortal.

The five Ancestor’s Tokens of the Mo Sect were all spiritual treasures of immense power, each possessing its own spirit. They chose their bearers based on inherent traits, beyond anyone’s interference.

Huo Wufang became the ‘Righteousness’ Token Lord precisely because his unwavering integrity and hatred for underhanded schemes made this incident an unforgivable crime in his eyes.

Lei Zhengfeng, the ‘Courage’ Token Lord, scoffed coldly. "The youngsters acted rashly, but Fang Lie is worse. He clings stubbornly to a sacred mountain he’s unworthy of. Had he surrendered it peacefully, the Cycle of Fire wouldn’t have opened! Now our sect risks becoming a joke among righteous sects!"

As the ‘Courage’ Token Lord, Lei Zhengfeng believed the strong deserved more resources, while the weak under their protection should accept sacrifices. Here, he sided with the powerful family clans.

His argument held some merit. A sacred mountain in noble hands could nurture experts to strengthen the Mo Sect. Yet under Fang Lie, it became an orphanage for those without spiritual roots—a waste.

"Nonsense!" Huo Wufang snapped. "Should a son be forced to death just because his father sacrificed himself for the sect? Are we a Righteous Sect or a den of scoundrels?"

"Don’t mention his father!" Lei Zhengfeng retorted. "That fool got hundreds of elite disciples killed, crippling the sect’s inheritance! Even now, we haven’t recovered despite pouring in resources. Fang Lie deserves death!"

"You—!" Huo Wufang choked on his rage.

"Enough," Sect Leader Mo Qianxun interjected softly, his voice gentle yet commanding. "This matter falls under the Ancestral Hall. Let Junior Brother Zhou decide."

The drowsy Zhou Zhenqing reluctantly spoke. "Li Feng is unfit as Law Enforcer."

The others nodded in agreement.

"As for the Fang Family’s sacred mountain…" Zhou hesitated.

Mo Qianxun coughed lightly. "We’ll postpone that discussion. The owner still lives."

The others fell silent, chastened. Even if Fang Lie seemed doomed, discussing his possessions prematurely lacked respect—a detail the Sect Leader wisely noted.

In the Ancestral Hall, countless eyes watched Fang Lie’s figure fade into the blazing flames.

Upon entering the Cycle of Fire’s Golden Light Avenue, a mysterious force flooded Fang Lie’s consciousness sea, forming forty-nine ancient divine scripts.

Though unrecognizable, their meaning struck Fang Lie clearly: this was a complete Dao magic. Having cultivated for years, he’d never seen a technique condensed into forty-nine characters. Even more shocking, these scripts detailed the method’s origin, cultivation nuances, and intricate processes—information spanning millions of ordinary words.

This was the Divine Phoenix Nirvana Scripture, a grand Dao power also called Unity Divine Power. Legends spoke of forty-nine divine techniques born from heaven’s laws after creation, each touching the Dao directly. Unrecordable and unteachable, only one person per era could master each.

Yet Fang Lie frowned. The Scripture demanded true Phoenix Nirvana—burning oneself to ash and reviving in flames. Since the Mo Ancestor’s era, thousands of Talents had tried and perished. Even survivors of the three unyielding tortures failed. Were it not for the founder’s warning here, Fang Lie would deem it a death trap.

The surrounding flames hadn’t harmed him yet. The founder’s message offered retreat: leave crippled but alive. But losing power meant doom for Fang Lie and the orphans under his care.

Memories of his father’s death and years of humiliation hardened his resolve. "My fate is mine!" he roared, striding forward.

The divine scripts shattered into golden light, guiding him through Nirvana.

The Cycle of Fire’s flames weren’t ordinary fire but Nirvana fire—a life-giving force that resurrected the dead. As the Scripture activated, it began dissolving Fang Lie’s body into golden energy, channeled by the scripts into his primordial spirit.

Clothes turned to ash as his flesh vaporized like ice in lava. The energy merged with his spirit, strengthening it under the Divine Light’s glow—a fragile hope kindled in the inferno.
