Chapter 11: East Kunlun, Tian Jianzi

"Good, I admire your resolve. Let’s hope your actions match your words!" Xiao Huan cut straight to the point. "Truthfully, this matter concerns your ancestral property. Within your Fang Family’s sacred mountain lies a Purple Melody Spirit Land, discovered and transplanted there by your ancestors. Fewer than twenty such spirit lands exist worldwide, mostly hoarded by private collectors for growing high-grade medicinal herbs."

"Recently, an Immortal from East Kunlun obtained a Nine-Star Purple Ganoderma during his travels—a priceless treasure cultivated for nearly ten thousand years. But this plant is fragile, only thriving in Purple Melody Spirit Land. Among all righteous sects, only your family’s plot remains unused." Xiao Huan explained, "Thus, the Immortal dispatched a disciple to claim it."

"Why wasn’t I informed?" Fang Lie frowned.

"They knew you’d never agree," Xiao Huan scoffed. "Hence they approached our Yuan family instead."

Everyone knew East Kunlun had destroyed Fang Lie’s father’s reputation—their feud ran deeper than oceans. Expecting Fang Lie to surrender the spirit land? Unthinkable!

"So you conspired to swindle my heritage?" Fang Lie sneered.

"Exactly. But your stubborn refusal forced East Kunlun’s hand. Their disciple’s master needs that land urgently—the ganoderma has begun withering and will die within six months. This herb is vital for surviving future Tribulations. Failure means dire consequences."

"Thus, he devised this scheme to frame you. We acted under duress—who dares offend East Kunlun?" Xiao Huan shrugged. "They lead the righteous sects. Cross them, and you’ll never walk safely again. Drop this matter."

"East Kunlun’s reputation frightens me not!" Fang Lie barked. "Name this worm! Where hides he?"

"Think I lie? The culprit’s Tian Jianzi, currently lodging at our Yuan family estate!"

"Guards!" Fang Lie roared. "Fetch Tian Jianzi from the Yuan residence!"

The Mo Sect headquarters spanned thousands of miles within a massive Formation controlled by the Ancestral Hall. Law Enforcement Heavenly Soldiers could teleport anywhere within this protective array, apprehending even the mightiest cultivators.

Soon, soldiers dragged in a middle-aged daoist radiating Sword Energy. "By what right does Mo Sect detain an East Kunlun disciple?" he thundered.

"East Kunlun licenses treachery now?" Fang Lie countered.

"I merely visited friends!" Tian Jianzi retorted. "This insult demands recompense, lest you incur our wrath!"

"Recompense?" Fang Lie gestured at Xiao Huan. "She testifies you orchestrated this plot."

"Her lone testimony proves nothing!" Tian Jianzi jeered. "Condemn me without evidence? Impossible!"

Indeed, convicting an East Kunlun disciple required ironclad proof. Xiao Huan’s word alone—as a Mo Sect affiliate—held little weight.

Fang Lie smirked at Xiao Huan. "He denies everything. Got evidence or not?"

"Anticipated this." Xiao Huan produced a Shadow Record Stone, activating it with Spiritual Energy. A phantom scene materialized—Tian Jianzi bribing her in a secret chamber, detailing the conspiracy.

The recording showed Tian Jianzi offering Fourth-Rank treasures and astronomical sums for the spirit land, masterminding Fang Lie’s framing, and providing the spirit pill that bribed Li Feng. Even the murdered mortal family’s blood stained his hands.

The courtroom erupted in curses. Tian Jianzi turned ashen. "You recorded this?!"

"Can’t trust East Kunlun scoundrels," Xiao Huan shrugged. "Your lot ruined Fang Lie’s father with empty promises. Did you think I’d risk becoming another cautionary tale?"

Tian Jianzi swallowed his fury. "I… admit fault. Name your compensation."

"Fang Lie," Xiao Huan urged, "We’re all righteous sects here. He’s apologized. No harm done—even profited! Let this go."

"East Kunlun and Mo Sect share millennia-old ties!" Li Feng added. "Don’t jeopardize relations over trifles!"

Fang Lie suddenly laughed—a cold, mirthless sound chilling the hall.

"Why laugh?" Tian Jianzi demanded.

"At your delusions!" Fang Lie thundered. "Think East Kunlun’s shield protects you? Were you their Sect Leader himself, I’d still crush you!"

"Guards!" he commanded. "Tian Jianzi conspired against Mo Sect disciples. Cripple his cultivation! Expel him through the mountain gate!"

"You madman!" Tian Jianzi screamed. "I’m East Kunlun’s disciple! You’ve no authority—"

"East Kunlun?" Fang Lie interrupted. "Here, Mo Sect’s justice reigns supreme."
