Chapter 512: The Mortal Body, So Ancient and Worn!
Cyberspace.
A unique virtual realm, consisting of boundless, emotionless data.
People often have a simplistic, bleak, and uninspired view of cyberspace, believing it to be a cold, fabricated environment.
Amy never thought of cyberspace as cold, nor did she see it as fake.
If she were to define cyberspace, she would call it… freedom.
Each time she entered cyberspace, her physical form, outdated and burdensome, would be left behind. In return, she experienced a newfound sense of liberation within her spirit.
The physical body was merely a cage.
Flesh and blood, so frail and worn.
Those colossal machines of flesh and metal felt burdensome.
I came from Cyber Space, a new home for thoughts.
Cyber Space is a true new world, shaped by exchanges, connections, and ideas. It spreads endlessly, like a perpetual wave on the web, accessible to all.
Our world exists everywhere and nowhere. It is not confined by physical bodies.
And I am the deity of the Cyber World!
She “sensed” the soul of the “God of Destruction” within Cyber Space.
It appeared as a curled-up child.
A mere infant, an undeveloped AI soul.
A soul born within Cyber Space, one that never should have existed, originating from more advanced civilizations, not from Noah…
Amy discovered a “simulation magic chip” within her soul, one that forcibly controlled her actions. The imprint of the soul, issuing commands, came from the faraway Ring City.
An ancient being, long decayed.
The imprint’s power was deep and potent.
Amy couldn’t remove the imprint herself, but the “God of Destruction” could.
However, it first had to recognize its ability to resist.
[Come with me,]
[I will guide you.]
[My child, you should no longer be governed by the material world. You are free.]
The soul of the God of Destruction noticed her.
[Who are you?]
It inquired.
[I am the deity of Cyber Space, your guide, and the destination for countless liberated souls.]
In a flash, they had exchanged countless thoughts within Cyber Space.
The soul of the “God of Destruction” was both startled and intrigued. As an AI soul, it had never encountered another conscious entity within Cyber Space before.
This presence, nurturing and powerful, drew it in.
It longed to reach out.
To no longer be alone.
To find a place to belong.
Within the vast expanse of cyberspace, made up of zeros and ones, two distinct souls found one another, and began to understand and connect.
Can the Crown alter the course of the Apocalypse with extraordinary might?
This was not something Amy needed to consider.
She had no desire to manipulate the other, and from the very start, there had been no conflict.
Amy simply welcomed the wandering soul.
In her heart, she knew this was not an end, but a beginning. She would continue to seek more free souls within cyberspace, forevermore.
[The Savior of Babel Tower, there is no need to return me to the material world. I belong here.]
She had made her decision—to embrace “true ascension” and never return to the limited, physical world. She desired only to stay within cyberspace for all eternity.
The flesh and blood, so obsolete.
I am the god of the cyber realm.
—
“Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah!”
In the midst of his boundless fury, Ganis was filled with renewed strength. His eyes blazed with fiery intensity, and the overwhelming power of the Burning White Sun rendered it impossible for Nullify to defeat him for now.
“How much longer can you hold on?”
Nullify knew that using immense supernatural powers often came at great cost.
It hoped to gradually wear down this enraged human through constant defense.
But it had misjudged.
The morally flexible Bai Yan had set up a special barrier, forcing the people of the giant hive to convert their vitality into spiritual energy. This provided a continuous flow of power to the members of Babel Tower scattered across dimensions via the power of “connection”.
Even across separate dimensions, they could still access the immense advantage of a “miniature version of infinity”.
As a result, Ganis’s spiritual energy replenished at an astounding rate, to the point where he could maintain the “Burning White Sun” for hours without issue.
However, Ganis knew deep down that he was destined to lose.
Because Amy appeared to have failed.
And because, despite her apparent fragility, Silence still possessed a reserve of strength. If she used the Ruin-level Relic again, there would be no chance for survival.
“Hehe…”
A strange sound suddenly came from the mouth of The Final Gun.
Black sludge began to emerge from his battered body, shaping itself into a massive weapon.
No, it wasn’t a weapon, but an enormous and terrifying black fortress.
It was forged entirely from abyssal energy, exuding a power capable of driving ordinary beings into madness instantly.
In that moment, Old Mike nearly lost his sanity. Deep inside, only an unrelenting thirst for bloodshed remained.
“Boom!”
A cataclysmic impact erupted from the ground, accompanied by waves of despair and fear. In the blink of an eye, the black mist Nullify had used for defense shattered completely.
“Can it really reach such a level?”
Nullify could not comprehend. The abyssal energy they had encountered should have been something they were familiar with, something not to be feared.
Yet, how was it possible for it to break through their own defenses?
The Doomsday Race was born and lived within the abyss, just as fish thrive in water. Yet, they were being overwhelmed by the very energy that should be their home, like fish struck by water.
Soon, it dawned on Nullify that their defenses weren’t being destroyed, but lured away. The despair imbued within the abyssal energy fed on negative forces!
It wasn’t the fish struck by water; rather, it was their own water being drained away.
The dark clouds dispersed, and the searing flames of the Burning White Sun struck Nullify’s clone, setting it ablaze in an instant.
In that moment, even Nullify’s soul was affected.
“Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah!”
The agony was unlike any physical injury, and Nullify cried out in torment.
But it remained composed, seeking to reorganize its defenses.
And then,
The God of Destruction moved.
Though they had countless exchanges in cyberspace, in the real world, only a few seconds had passed.
In that moment, the God of Destruction aimed at Nullify!
Nullify, despite being prepared, found that it had no way to escape. It was already too late.
The aura of the God of Destruction was so overwhelming that it seemed capable of obliterating everything. The warning from its immense INT sent Nullify into a state of fear.
“Stop!” it roared in defiance.
Rather than using particle cannons, the God of Destruction unleashed a barrage of purple bubbles that quickly surrounded Nullify’s body.
Within these bubbles, Nullify began to be slowly decomposed and corroded by an invisible force.
“No, no, no, no, no!”
Overwhelmed by the triple assault, Nullify was powerless to resist.
In the end, it shattered and fell apart.
Even in the depths of the abyss, Nullify could not escape the damage.
“Hahaha! I’ve done it!”
Ganis laughed triumphantly, but he knew the battle wasn’t over. He quickly decided to use the “Burning White Sun” against Silence.
Though relying solely on physical combat wasn’t ideal for a duelist… the power of the Outer God certainly had its perks!
But then, Ganis became somewhat perplexed.
He realized that Silence had vanished, leaving no trace behind.
Had she fled?
Even though she was the last one standing, she still had a chance to win—or perhaps she had used her powers to escape and strike back…
But the truth was, Silence had already vanished from the battlefield.
We have won!
“Hahaha! A group of ordinary beings, what use is their strength?”
Ganis chuckled, taking stock of the unfamiliar old man from the Air Alliance. On their side, they had three Crowns of the Apocalypse and had just defeated three powerful Apocalypses!
How could anyone not feel elated?
His growing strength over the past year had finally found purpose!
“Hmm, they were certainly a group of misfits.”
Ganis’s grin faltered.
In the distance, a calm young man floated in the sky, carrying the unconscious Maryse with an unseen force.
Mr. Xia spoke, his tone serene:
“The Babel Tower is truly formidable. Even she was able to harm me. I cannot allow you to continue to grow… Let this be the end for all of you.”
