Chapter 495: Dual Thread Maneuver
Realm of Infinity, Ever-changing Facade.
This place held the mystical power of an Infinity Ranger, a force that was both extraordinary and terrifying. Within this ruin-level relic lay things far more difficult to control than any other relic of its kind.
Even “Summer,” a Hell King, struggled to fully master it—especially in the absence of its true form. Simply activating its power was an immense challenge.
“So, let the space become chaotic.”
As “Summer” gazed at the ruin-level relic before him, ethereal lights and shadows swirled around him. In an instant, they expanded outward, stretching thousands of miles and eventually covering tens of thousands of miles.
The Giant Hive was completely engulfed, and countless people felt an indescribable unease, as though they were gradually drifting away from the world of reality. Everything around them appeared surreal—blurry, distorted, and chaotic.
***
Inside the Giant Hive
Mu Ling and Maryse were sharing a room, discussing their thoughts about settling into their new home.
Faced with the strange phenomena occurring around them, Mu Ling stood abruptly, and Maryse quickly followed suit, their expressions tense.
“It seems there are enemies…” Maryse closed her eyes and activated her psychic powers. Concentrating deeply, she said, “I can sense several extremely powerful beings outside the Giant Hive.”
Mu Ling hesitated for a moment, realizing Maryse’s abilities had grown stronger than her own. The presence Maryse described filled Mu Ling with dread—an opponent of such magnitude felt insurmountable.
Maryse’s face darkened as she looked at Mu Ling. “Each of them might be stronger than me. These individuals are attacking the city from outside.”
“Thank goodness…” Maryse exhaled in relief and added quickly, “As long as we hide inside Babel Tower, we should be safe. Thanks to its unique nature, we can come and go freely without leaving anyone behind. Hehehe.”
“But we can’t abandon the people inside the Giant Hive.”
Mu Ling shook her head. “They’re clearly targeting this city. If we flee, many innocent people will be slaughtered.”
Maryse hesitated, her lips parting as if to speak, but she fell silent instead.
“I can’t—I won’t—just do nothing,” Mu Ling declared, her eyes brimming with resolve.
Maryse listened quietly, her expression softening. [Maryse, I’m sorry.]
[I know that ordinary people don’t matter much to you.]
[To be honest, I used to ignore them too. I was proud and selfish. But later, the Savior taught me that beyond personal and family glory, there are greater responsibilities we must embrace.]
[Perhaps your way is the logical one. Fighting may not be wise, but retreating has never been my choice.]
Maryse took a deep breath, blinked, and smiled. “I’ll stand with you. Don’t underestimate me!”
Mu Ling smiled in return but didn’t thank her—there was no need for gratitude between them.

A Shared Belief
Maryse continued speaking, her voice steady with conviction. “No matter what powerful enemies we face, Babel Tower has always overcome every challenge. It will this time, too.”
Over the past year, Maryse had faced countless trials, evolving into a confident, capable individual. Her faith in Babel Tower was unshakable.
Mu Ling left the room and ascended into the sky within the Giant Hive. She noticed her surroundings were shifting—everything seemed to collapse, resembling the moments when she was summoned into Babel Tower. Yet, she could sense this was no call from the Savior.
“What’s happening?”
Mu Ling felt the space around her transforming. It wasn’t just space—it was dimensions! She was being projected into another realm.
Suddenly, she found herself in a dimension composed entirely of black and white. The silence was absolute; even her own voice was inaudible.
“This is still the Giant Hive,” she murmured, though no sound escaped her lips. It was no longer the physical Giant Hive but a warped version in another dimension.
***
A Silent World
Mu Ling realized Maryse was gone. The half-elf girl who had been by her side was now lost in an unknown realm.
Frowning, Mu Ling assessed her situation. As someone capable of entering the dark dimension at will, she knew the multiverse was vast, with countless bizarre and unfathomable dimensions, each governed by its own rules.
The material world was merely one facet of this infinite multiverse.
“What dimension is this?” she whispered, though the question vanished into the soundless void.
Not just Mu Ling, but the entire city centered around the Giant Hive, and everything within a radius of thousands of miles, were affected by the mystical power of the Realm of Infinity, Ever-changing Facade. In an instant, they were haphazardly projected into different dimensions.
The magical barrier protecting the Giant Hive was ultimately a construct bound by the rules of the material world. In many dimensions, it might fail or yield unpredictable results.
No matter the outcome, it provided an opportunity for the invaders to exploit.
Mu Ling took a deep breath.
In that moment, she found herself in a dimension she had never ventured into before. Yet she didn’t feel lonely or afraid.
Because the great Savior connects us all.
“No matter how far apart we are, we always fight side by side.”

Meanwhile
“Endless Treasures”
Located on a unique and mysterious island, the “Strange Realm” defied conventional understanding.
This island didn’t belong to any star. Instead, it floated within a vast, suspended ocean. From above, one could see a boundless sea hovering in the universe without a spherical planet beneath it.
This was no ordinary ocean; it was a “boundary” created by the sea deity, bearing the same mystical properties as the River Luo: the Sea of Abyss.
For non-divine beings, attempting to cross this enigmatic Sea of Abyss—or diving beneath its surface—meant sinking to the deepest depths, never to rise again.
Countless extraordinary beings, powerful monsters, and civilizations had perished here. Despite their might, they failed to glimpse the fabled islands within the Sea of Abyss.
Nothing lived in the Sea of Abyss, not even a single fish. Yet, at its center lay the unparalleled and enigmatic “Strange Realm.”
Now, Bai Yan and his companions stood atop this very island.
Thanks to the power of the Babel Tower, they bypassed the dangers of the Sea of Abyss, arriving here in an instant.
Bai Yan deliberated silently. He chose not to share the events of Noah’s world with the others—particularly anything regarding the Scarlet Moon. The Scarlet Blood Clan meant everything to her. Revealing those events now would unsettle her composure.
Their task here remained vital. Obtaining treasures from the mysterious island would further bolster the Babel Tower’s influence in Noah’s world.
Bai Yan was acutely aware that most of the gods who had hidden treasures in the “Endless Treasures” dungeon had already fallen. Their venture, in essence, was akin to grave robbing.
And, as any reader of such tales would know, grave robbing was fraught with peril.
Even fallen gods could wield immense influence over the mortal realm. They had left behind trials and challenges to guard their treasures, and only by overcoming these could one claim them.
“Be cautious. Even we must tread carefully on this island.”
“Don’t be such a scaredy-cat,” Scarlet Moon muttered, glaring at Profligate.
Bai Yan ignored her disdain, his expression calm but resolute. Deep in his eyes, a dark flame flickered as he activated the power of “Connection” to probe the island’s secrets.
He closed his eyes, his mind scanning the surroundings. Moments later, he spoke:
“Let’s move. I’ve gathered enough information about this island.”
Though the Strange Realm appeared relatively small, its true size extended far beyond its visible boundaries. Unfortunately, they lacked the time to explore its entirety.
“There are seventy-two secret treasure locations on this island and five hundred and thirty-five traps,” Bai Yan continued. “Some traps are lethal enough to send us straight to hell. Time is short, so we’ll start with the nearest treasure.”
He pointed toward a lake nearby.
The lake’s surface shimmered with crystal clarity, its gentle ripples mesmerizing. Anyone gazing at it for too long might find themselves irresistibly drawn to step into its waters.
Little Scarlet Moon nodded and was about to step toward the location Bai Yan had pointed to, but he quickly grabbed her arm to stop her.
“That place is a hidden treasure, but also a trap. Be careful,” Bai Yan cautioned.
He hesitated for a moment before calling Aurora and the Slime, instructing them to stay with the team. Only he and Scarlet Moon would proceed ahead.
“This treasure’s challenge doesn’t require too many people,” he explained.
He then added, “Scarlet Moon, when we reach the Silent Lake, no matter who you hear speaking around you, do not respond. Understand?”
“Hmm,” Scarlet Moon snorted unkindly, reluctantly agreeing.
Bai Yan smiled and reached out to pat her head, but Scarlet Moon, annoyed, skillfully dodged his attempt.
“Why are you like this?” Bai Yan asked, amused.
Scarlet Moon explained, “I’m just compressing the energy within my body. This way, I can unleash greater power during battles.”
“I see,” Bai Yan replied.
In truth, he already knew why she was doing it. He had only brought it up to make conversation while preoccupied with another matter: Noah’s situation. The challenge on Noah’s side was proving even trickier. After securing the most critical treasure from the “Endless Treasures,” they would need to return immediately.
Out of the seventy-two treasures, Bai Yan had already made a practical judgment—they needed only three. The remaining sixty-nine were either too difficult to acquire or unsuitable for Babel Tower.
“We’re here,” Bai Yan said, signaling for silence as they approached the lake. Scarlet Moon nodded softly, refraining from making a sound.
Suddenly, boom!
She froze, quickly noticing something unusual.
Without realizing it, the ground beneath her feet had disappeared—there was only water. The lake had transformed into an endless, raging ocean. Towering waves, several kilometers high, surged violently, as if poised to swallow them whole.
