Chapter 451: Amazing Turn of Events!
The story continued, unfolding in ways no one had anticipated. Unexpected twists were shaping the Almighty’s journey.
The Almighty stood in awe, gradually uncovering the countless methods employed by Babel Tower. The discoveries left him stunned, forced to acknowledge their sheer ingenuity.
After numerous trips through the loops of time, he pieced together more and more fragments, sharpening the image of Babel Tower in his mind.
Psychic warriors with powers rivaling his own. A crime-hunter capable of halting time itself. A slime entity with the ability to brainwash its victims. An ultimate hacker who wielded unparalleled control over electronic networks.
Beyond this, they demonstrated the eerie ability to infiltrate any corner of the world, slipping in and out without leaving a trace.
“Babel Tower is truly remarkable,” he murmured, his tone edged with reluctant admiration. “And their Savior? They’re even more frightening than I imagined.”
For the Almighty, this was no reason to retreat.
Instead, his resolve hardened.
“This is just a trial,” he declared. “And I will prevail. Even their mighty Savior will eventually bow, admitting they cannot best me.”
But as the cycles continued, a troubling pattern emerged.
The Almighty could neutralize dangers with his time-reversing powers. Yet Babel Tower’s attacks were unrelenting, their persistence unshaken.
They returned, again and again, undeterred by failure. Their tenacity bred frustration.
“Eliminating Babel Tower entirely is unrealistic,” he admitted, his thoughts calculated. “But if I can make them abandon their operations here… Yes. A crushing blow is the only way.”
The Almighty recalled the defeat of the Heart of Radiance. After countless observations, he had pinpointed its vulnerability, forcing it to retreat after two failed descents. The damage was irreparable.
And now, he prepared to orchestrate a similar fate for Babel Tower.
That night, a plan began to take shape.
Within the Giant Hive, the Almighty envisioned an elaborate trap—one that would utterly dismantle Babel Tower’s presence.
“Only by striking fear into their very core will the Savior reconsider. Only then will they stop meddling in my affairs.”
In a seemingly ordinary scene, Partridge gestured toward a small, modest house.
“This is my home now,” she explained quietly.
As they approached, the sight of pink walls and rows of adorable dolls greeted them. It was a strange contrast to the day’s tensions.
“Smile when you want to smile,” Partridge whispered, her head lowered. “Work and life—they’ve always been separate.”
For Bai Yan, it was a replay. Each movement, each word followed a path he had already traveled.
Yet beneath the calm surface, he sensed the looming culmination of his schemes.
“Soon,” he thought.
The following day, they approached the clone manufacturing center.
Unlike before, the usual defenses were conspicuously absent. No attacks came, no formidable energy blocked their way.
“What’s going on?” Partridge murmured, her expression uneasy. “Why haven’t they noticed us? Could it be a trap?”
Tension simmered.
Mu Ling gripped her weapon tightly. “Stay alert,” she ordered. “It could be anything.”
But Bai Yan’s silence betrayed his certainty.
“He’ll come soon.”
And then, the voice came.
Low, ominous, and cold.
“People of Babel Tower, followers of the Savior, your end has come.”
The words sent a jolt through the group.
Partridge’s face turned ashen, her body trembling violently. Without resistance, she fell to her knees, hugging her head as though to block out the voice.
“It’s him… It’s really him!” she
stammered, barely coherent.
“The Almighty has come in
person!”
Mu Ling readied herself, her
determination unwavering.
Elene, however, struggled to
contain her anger. Her fists
clenched, her body trembled,
and her mind replayed images
of the woman who had once
given her happiness.
She wanted to scream, to roar
with fury. Yet, in her heart, she
knew—losing control now
would serve no purpose.
From the shadows emerged a
figure.
Tall and imposing, clad in
black, her expression exuded
power.
The sight froze Elene in place.
The Almighty was not him.
It was her.
“Surprised?”
The woman’s voice dripped
with mockery, her proud smile
cutting through the tension.
“Why do we look so alike,
Elene?” she teased, her tone
almost playful. “Think. Think
carefully about the truth you’ve
been avoiding.”
Elene’s eyes widened in
disbelief.
“What… are you?”
The Almighty’s smile only widened.
“What am I?” she repeated, her
voice rising into laughter. “No,
Elene. The question isn’t what I
am.”
Her gaze locked onto Elene’s.
“You… are the real one.”
