Bai Yan knew the legend of the Fusang Tree. While Fusang once referred to a country, the Fusang Tree was a mythical entity from the Classic of Mountains and Seas.
“Long ago, there was a magical land called Fusang, where the sun would bathe for ten days before rising in the north of Black Tooth Mountain.”
The Fusang Tree consisted of two large mulberry trees, supporting each other, where the sun goddess Xihe would raise her son, the Three-Legged Golden Crow, in a chariot.
The Fusang Tree was a portal between realms: gods, humans, and the underworld. However, when the great archer Yi shot down the sun, it broke, and the realms could no longer connect.
Bai Yan couldn’t help but feel excitement at drawing the Fusang Tree. It seemed it would work quite well.

Two more seven-day skins! This was a surprise. Bai Yan never imagined it would take so long to draw another “seven days” after the previous Mechanical Ascension.
“Fortunately, only two are needed to combine into a skin. If each skin required ten fragments, I’d probably go crazy…” Bai Yan muttered.

Another one delivered! But there were no characters…
Aside from needing “Sacred Runes,” Bai Yan didn’t need to summon more “fate” for now. There was no need for new Core Operators. The strength gap was growing, and even if he drew more “Awakening Level” Core Operators, they couldn’t defeat a single Scarlet Moon.
He chose to recast. After the recast, only three new fragments appeared, completely useless.

But the “Demon of Justice” didn’t appear. She was a demigod, not a true deity. Bai Yan believed that once her soul perished, she could not be resurrected—at least, that’s what he thought for now.
Next came the final ten-pull… or, in reality, the second ten-pull.
Bai Yan, now accustomed to the process, summoned without hesitation.

When Bai Yan first entered the Babel Tower, he felt a sense of exclusion. He still remembered it clearly. But now, that overwhelming feeling had begun to fade. Did Bai Yan finally earn the Babel Tower’s recognition?

Bai Yan regretted reconstructing the Minoan Labyrinth. He decided to rebuild it later.
