Chapter 320: The Imperial Light Execution
“You all heard it, right? The voice in our hearts. It seems to be another command from that person.”
Maryse crouched down, her fingers brushing her temple as if trying to locate the origin of the voice.
“This person has always been watching us… I was scared at first. I even tried hiding when bathing… But later, I figured it out. Someone like the Savior wouldn’t have such base desires. So, let’s just pretend that they are…”
Her voice trailed off.
She had intended to joke, “Let’s
just pretend He’s a clever and
talkative dog.” But Maryse
quickly swallowed her words,
realizing that Mu Ling wouldn’t
appreciate such irreverence.
Instead, she kept quiet,
glancing cautiously at her
companion.
“Yes, I heard it too,” Mu Ling
said gently, her gaze shifting
toward Aurora as she added,
“The Savior’s intentions are
always right. There’s no need
to question that. Let’s go.”
With deliberate grace, Mu Ling
extended her pale hand,
revealing a black crystal
resting upon her palm. The
relic shimmered with an
enigmatic beauty, catching
everyone’s attention.
“Thousands of Ruins,
Everything Is Used”
A legendary Ruin-level Relic—
one of the mythical Twenty-
Seven.
Even the deities themselves
would yearn for such an
artifact.
None of the three fully
understood its capabilities, but
they instinctively knew
anything gifted by the Savior
could not be ordinary.
Aurora nodded. “Let’s follow
the command. This land is
vast, and we’ve only scratched
its surface. It’s better to trust
the guidance of the being
above us than to wander
aimlessly.”
Maryse shrugged. Although
she often felt frustrated by the
Savior’s cryptic guidance, she
couldn’t deny the wisdom in
His commands.
Together, they returned to the
cloud platform where their
journey had begun. Everything
looked unchanged.
Mu Ling approached the
platform, holding the black
crystal. It floated into the air,
emitting a soft white glow
before unleashing an immense
gravitational force. The palace
wreckage before them began
to dissolve into shimmering
particles, drawn into the
crystal’s core.
It was like a black hole.
The three companions
watched in awe as the ruins of
a once-grand kingdom were
devoured. The wreckage
disintegrated into radiant
specks, consumed entirely by
the relic.
Amid the destruction, Mu Ling frowned. The crystal radiated heat, an ominous warning she couldn’t ignore.
“There’s something beneath the palace ruins,” she muttered. “I… I missed it.”
Aurora and Maryse stared at her, stunned.
“What could be hidden beneath such an enormous palace?” Aurora whispered, her voice tinged with unease.
“Something powerful,” Mu Ling replied, her tone firm. “But I cannot defy His will.”
Aurora hesitated but eventually nodded, understanding Mu Ling’s unwavering devotion. She knew this devout girl would never be swayed, no matter the danger.
As the last remnants of the palace vanished into the crystal, the ground beneath them trembled.
A deep, guttural voice resounded in their minds.
[Light God!]
[For ten thousand years, I have been imprisoned!]
[You have fallen, and now I rise under the sun once more!]
Aurora’s heart sank. The words confirmed her worst fears.
The Light God had fallen.
Before she could react, the ruins erupted, and a towering three-headed demon emerged, flames engulfing its massive form.
The creature’s voice boomed like an abyssal thunder, shaking the very air around them.
[I am the Demon Duke, Ernie,] it declared, its crimson eyes gleaming with malice. [Thanks to you, I am free.]
Maryse blinked. “So… is there a reward?”
The Demon Duke laughed—a sound dripping with mockery.
[Greedy mortals! I shall reward
you with eternal servitude—or
death.]
Its threat hung heavy in the air.
Mu Ling stepped forward, her
new weapon—a golden blade
imbued with divine patterns—
gleaming in her grasp.
“Demon,” she said coldly. “Your
words are meaningless.”
With a single strike, time
seemed to freeze. Mu Ling
appeared behind the demon,
her blade severing all three of
its heads in one fluid motion.
The demon’s body crumbled,
but its sinister presence
lingered.
Aurora tightened her grip on
her lance. “This isn’t over.”
She was right. The
disintegrating corpse
reformed, larger and more
menacing than before. The
Demon Duke now stood as a
colossal Flame Giant, its three
heads glaring down at them
with fiery hatred.
“Stay sharp!” Mu Ling shouted,
raising her blade.
The battle raged on.
Aurora’s divine power clashed
against the demon’s flames,
while Maryse unleashed her
perfected Deep Red – Divine
Punishment.
The three companions fought
valiantly, their strength and
unity tested against the
overwhelming might of the
Demon Duke.
As the battle reached its
climax, Mu Ling leaped into the
air, her blade glowing with an
otherworldly brilliance. With
one final strike, she plunged
the weapon into the demon’s
core, shattering it completely.
The Demon Duke let out a final,
deafening roar before its body
dissolved into ash.
Exhausted but triumphant, the
three stood amidst the
remnants of their enemy.
Aurora looked toward the
heavens, her heart heavy with
questions about the Savior’s
true intentions. Yet, as she
gazed at her companions—
brave, unwavering, and loyal—
she knew what she had to do.
For now, they would trust the
Savior and press on, united in
their resolve.
