Chapter 70: Little Devil ❤️ ~
“Yue Yue, if you’re not feeling well, how about we go with you to the medical office?” Jiang Mengwei suggested with a frown.
Li Mengyue brushed aside her slightly messy hair, wiping away the beads of sweat that had appeared on her forehead. Her face was flushed. “I… I need to go to the restroom!”
Without waiting for a response, she hurried off in that direction.
“Sister Jiang, I… I suddenly need to go too!” Ye Xiao said, following quickly in her footsteps.
And just like that, Jiang Mengwei was left alone at the table, caught off guard. What was with those two?
Ye Xiao arrived at the restroom and happened to see Li Mengyue slipping into a stall. She quickly followed and opened the door, catching Li Mengyue by surprise as they met each other’s bewildered gazes.
Li Mengyue immediately panicked upon seeing Ye Xiao appear, clutching a rather personal item that had been “blessed with holy water.”
“Ye Xiao… what are you doing here? I’m warning you… don’t do anything rash!”
“Heh ❤️… Big Sister Extra, there’s no way I’d do anything to you!” Ye Xiao said, her eyes twinkling as she leaned in closer, teasingly. “Or… is there something you want me to do to you?”
Her gaze flustered Li Mengyue even further, recalling the time Ye Xiao had licked her palm back in the grocery store. Back then, she’d brushed it off as a joke.
She’d thought Ye Xiao was just a simple, naive little girl, so she’d saved her from those thugs without hesitation. But today, everything about Ye Xiao was flipping that impression on its head.
This wasn’t just some cute, harmless girl—this was a little demon!
Before she could react, Ye Xiao snatched away the “blessed item”, a sky-blue lace-trimmed piece of clothing, damp from its “holy water” that had left a faint mark on it.
“Give that… back to me!”
Li Mengyue stammered, her face beet red and completely overwhelmed.
“Tsk tsk~ Isn’t this a little gift Big Sister Extra prepared just for me? If it’s a gift, I can’t just give it back, now can I?” Ye Xiao smirked, tucking her trophy away.
Li Mengyue tried to respond, but before she could, Ye Xiao moved in even closer, her lips brushing her cheek for just an instant. Li Mengyue froze, her mind going completely blank.
Who am I? Where am I? What… just happened?
A flood of questions filled Li Mengyue’s mind. Was she imagining things? Or was she still asleep and dreaming?
Ye Xiao’s hands took advantage of her distraction, slipping onto Li Mengyue’s soft cheeks. But just then, voices from other girls echoed in the restroom.
“Ugh, I really don’t want to go to class!”
“Don’t forget, we’ve got that professor who likes to call on students randomly. Remember how you failed last term?”
“Of course I remember! He waited until the second-to-last class and then called on the one day I skipped, and I failed! I went to every other class, but that one… ugh.”
Outside, the girls continued complaining, and Ye Xiao’s expression turned dark. Back in her school days, she too had failed because of the same thing!
Her hands unconsciously tightened their grip in frustration, making Li Mengyue gasp. But before she could cry out, she felt something soft press against her lips, silencing her protests with a muffled sound.
“Eek, did you hear something strange?” one girl asked, seeming to catch a hint of something unusual.
Instantly, Li Mengyue tensed up, afraid to move a muscle.
“Oh, come on! This is a school restroom. Who’d dare do something crazy in here? I think you’re just reading too many novels!”
But the risk of being discovered only added to Li Mengyue’s feelings, an unfamiliar thrill running through her. It was more intense than her stolen moments in the grocery store, where she only had to worry about paying in the end to avoid trouble.
But this—if they got caught here, she’d be infamous throughout Binhai University!
The strange excitement, combined with Ye Xiao’s teasing, kept Li Mengyue on edge, her nerves heightened in a way she’d never felt before.
Finally, Ye Xiao broke their lip-lock, but her hands didn’t stop. “Ye Xiao…” Li Mengyue whispered.
“Aww, Big Sister Extra, ❤️ don’t tell me you’ve never read novels before~” Ye Xiao teased, a mischievous smile dancing on her lips as she watched Li Mengyue, who dared not move or make a sound for fear the girls in the adjacent stalls might hear them.
Looking at Li Mengyue, visibly flustered and trembling with excitement and worry, Ye Xiao swore to herself that this was the most captivating look she’d seen on any of her “crushes”. At least, for now.
Twenty minutes later, Li Mengyue returned with a new glow on her flushed cheeks. She trailed behind Ye Xiao, trying not to attract attention.
“Ye Xiao… could you… give that back to me?” she asked in a faint, pleading tone.
The cool air against her skin was a bit too much to bear.
“Huh? What are you talking about, Big Sister Extra? I don’t understand~” Ye Xiao replied, skipping along with a smug smile. Of course she knew exactly what Li Mengyue was talking about—but there was no way she was giving back her prized trophy.
Li Mengyue clenched her fists. She could do nothing against Ye Xiao now. After all, back in that small space, she’d had every chance to push Ye Xiao away, to resist. But somehow, she hadn’t. It was as if she were under a spell, lost in a rush of excitement and embarrassment, and she’d fallen right into Ye Xiao’s hands.
With a slight tremor in her step, Li Mengyue walked back to the table, beside Jiang Mengwei.
Jiang Mengwei looked at the two girls, slightly concerned. “Where on earth were you two? If you’d been gone any longer, I would’ve come looking!”
“Ehehe ❤️~” Ye Xiao tilted her head, sticking out her tongue in an innocent pose.
Seeing her cousin’s expression, Li Mengyue felt an urge to offer a warning. She’d already fallen into Ye Xiao’s trap and, though she didn’t exactly dislike it, her cousin was still pure-hearted and had to be protected from this little devil.
