Chapter 462: I, Lin Feng, Have Only One Sword

┗|·O·|┛ Aoo~~

The intense pain made the giant demon scorpion wail in misery.

Its small, squinting eyes stared at Lin Feng in horror, and its massive body quickly retreated, wishing it could grow eight more legs!

Too terrifying!

This human was too terrifying!

Its tail was not only laden with deadly venom but also as hard as a top-grade spiritual weapon, yet it had been so easily severed!

“Slash!”

A sixth-rank demonic beast was a supreme tonic, so Lin Feng naturally wouldn’t let it escape. In an instant, he leaped up and descended from above, stomping heavily onto the giant demon scorpion.

“Boom!”

Under the powerful impact, the scorpion’s hard carapace cracked with a sharp “ka-cha.” Countless spiderweb-like fractures spread out, spraying large quantities of green blood.

“Trying to run?”

Lin Feng’s expression was indifferent.

“Zhi zhi zhi~”

A trembling sound emerged from the giant demon scorpion’s mouth, obviously begging for mercy.

“Boom!”

Lin Feng drove his sword hard into the scorpion’s back. Then he twisted the hilt.

“Ka-cha~”

The giant demon scorpion’s body instantly split into multiple pieces. A beast core twenty centimeters in diameter, faintly green throughout, appeared before Lin Feng. It was the inner core of a sixth-rank demonic beast—an extremely valuable treasure, even in ancient times. It contained the scorpion’s life essence, its surface cloaked in a spiritual aura. Whether for cultivation or for crafting elixirs, it was top-grade. Even sold as-is, it would fetch an astronomical price.

“Excellent!”

Lin Feng stowed the scorpion’s inner core in his Qiankun Bag. Then, as though alone in the world, he began to tidy up the battlefield, gathering every inner core from the demonic beasts he had just killed.

There were so many!

It was exhilarating!

Lin Feng’s heart lit up with excitement, feeling as though he had reached the pinnacle of life!

While he was collecting the inner cores, the other demonic beasts looked on in terror, breathing raggedly and not daring to charge forward. The might of a single person subdued thousands of beasts—this was the harrowing spectacle before them.

Seeing this scene, the Beast Master Elder, who had been watching from afar, felt the smile on his face freeze.

“Go! He’s just one person. There are so many of you—what are you afraid of?”

The Beast Master Elder roared furiously.

But the countless demonic beasts did not move a muscle. Having reached their level, they possessed some measure of intelligence, enough to know how to avoid disaster. Perhaps by sheer numbers they could kill this powerful human, but the first to rush in would surely die, and no one wanted to be the sacrificial pawn.

“Your demonic beasts don’t seem to be obeying you,” Lin Feng said, finishing off his spoils and fixing the Beast Master Elder with a cold gaze.

“You underestimate the Beast Master Sect’s secret art! Beast Taming—Frenzy!”

The Beast Master Elder’s voice was icy. He raised his head and howled at the sky, sending wave after wave of sonic pulses sweeping over the demonic beasts. In an instant:

“Roar~”
“Awoo~”
“┗|`O′|┛ Aoo~~”

Those beasts, which had still shown fear in their eyes moments before, suddenly became bloodshot. Their breathing turned harsh, and they seemed to lose all reason as they charged at Lin Feng. At this point, there was nothing left to say—only one word remained:

“Kill!”

“Swish!”

Lin Feng moved like lightning, charging alone into the mass of demonic beasts.

“Ka-ka-ka!”
“Boom!”

He was too powerful—words could scarcely describe the scene. Lin Feng advanced as though no one stood before him, leaving behind mountains of corpses and seas of blood. Whenever his sword flashed, blood mist filled the skies. If crushing enemies before had produced a small cloud of red, now it became a vast, endless mist, swirling into the air, then gathering and raining down like crimson droplets.

No matter how vast your body, how you blotted out the sky—so what?
No matter how boundless your demonic arts, how you swallowed clouds and spewed out the sun—so what?
I, Lin Feng, wield but one sword, yet it can slay ten thousand beasts, strike down countless foes, and sweep aside everything!

…

Tens of thousands of demonic beasts, each colossal and emitting a fearsome aura, brimming with tremendous power. One could say that if they descended upon Earth, they could easily wipe out a small country; even advanced weaponry would be hard-pressed to harm them. Yet these creatures now seemed like ants under Lin Feng’s sword.

The battle raged on for a full hour. Lin Feng was nearly numb from the slaughter, never having unleashed such unbridled killing before. Corpses piled up like mountains, and the blood mist soared overhead, staining the sky red.

Dozens of kilometers away, Second Senior Sister Jiang Yanxi, Li Xiaoke, Feng Ling, Tang Yun, and the others stared at the sky in shock. It was too horrifying—just how many living beings had died to make the sky go red, and for the stench of blood to reach even them so far away?

At that moment, Chen Shan and Ye Tianxin awoke from their unconsciousness. Hearing everything from Second Senior Sister, they were overcome by guilt, relief, and astonishment. Guilt for involving Lin Feng, relief that he had come, and shock that he was taking on thousands of powerful demonic beasts on his own.

“This is pretty terrifying!!!”

Chen Shan clung tightly to Ye Tianxin’s clothing. Ye Tianxin’s gaze shifted to the graceful, cold-faced Feng Ling, and a strange feeling arose in his heart. He felt as though he’d just had a dream—a dream in which he and some woman had done that. The dream felt so real he could barely tell if it had been only a dream at all.

At that moment, Feng Ling seemed to notice; she turned around, and her gaze locked with Ye Tianxin’s. Sparks flashed in their eyes before both of them shuddered.

“Gulp!”

Ye Tianxin swallowed hard, forcing an awkward smile. Feng Ling quickly averted her gaze. Remembering the battle details from before, her emotions churned. Although it had nominally been the Beast Master Elder, in reality it was Ye Tianxin’s body. And as he gradually activated the Decline God Physique, his figure had grown muscular, his body swelling with the potent hormones of a man. The more she thought about it, the more her heart grew flustered—partly longing for that feeling just moments earlier, yet also aware that Ye Tianxin’s power was still too weak…

…

On the other side:

“Boom!”

With the final sixth-rank demonic beast slain by Lin Feng, the previously crowded scene suddenly emptied. Lin Feng stood atop the countless demonic beast corpses, gripping his Natal Sword, his cold eyes calmly trained on the distant Beast Master Elder.

“How…how can this be!”

The elder’s face contorted, eyes bloodshot, unable to accept the sight before him. He simply couldn’t fathom how everything had changed so drastically from the once-favorable situation. Those demonic beasts had been the hope for reviving the Beast Master Sect, yet now they were all slaughtered by one person?

“Sigh! I really must thank nature for its generosity!”

At that moment, Lin Feng chuckled softly, ignoring the Beast Master Elder as though he were alone on the battlefield, and began collecting the inner cores from the demonic beasts’ bodies.

The Beast Master Elder froze for a second then instantly understood the meaning behind Lin Feng’s words: “Nature’s generosity?”

“Screw your mother!”
